Okay, I know this won't be strictly relevant for me for another five years but I have a question about the adult system: is it possible to have more than one entry-level job? I know this is a sort of big question with a lot to consider, and maybe this isn't applicable for all of them. I'm thinking of positions like Street Performer, Starving Artist, or Gambler where often if someone is pursuing an unstable career like that they have a second part-time job in something they're less passionate about so they don't go broke (something like Bartender or Server or Shop Clerk).

Some possible ways to implement this:

- only applicable to entry-level jobs, you can't have more than 1 if it's Intermediate or above

- double the rp requirement so it's 6 rps per year, and you still can only choose one career to advance to Intermediate next year. However, you still have experience in the other career that you did not advance in. In the future, if you quit your current Intermediate job you still retain the old experience you got in the other field, and can go to that other job's Intermediate advancement during the application period.

• ex: John is a Bartender and Starving Artist. The next year, he gets a promotion and becomes a Mixologist. He stops making art. Then, the year after that he decides "this isn't for me" and quits. Using his previous experience as a Starving Artist gets a lucky break and is now considered an Artist.
• I can see how this might not work since it could be abused in OOC and unreasonable ways.
• although it is good to consider how career changes work in general for the adult system. even with only 1 job per year, if someone is an entry bartender one year, then a starving artist for another year, would they be able to be a mixologist even though it's been years since they were a bartender? or is there a cap on that, like 2 years gap max between diff types of jobs.

- alternatively, it could be that from a mechanical standpoint, you functionally have one job, but you can still rp "working" somewhere else in threads not related to the required 3 rps a year.

• ex: John is a Starving Artist. He must write his 3 roleplays describing his starving artist job in order to level up. However, seperate to that, his character is also working as a bartender so he can pay rent. IC, if someone asked him what his job was he'd probably say "bartender, but I'm trying to make it as an artist." This does not mean that he will advance in the bartender field, because his OOC actual job is being a Starving Artist. Writing an rp at the bar does not count towards the annual 3 required.
• OOC in his Starving Artist application, John would include this in info his job description, explaining how he works so that he isn't literally homeless.

I also have a question regarding the Activism job specifically. There are people out there who make activism into a career, but does this mean that your character has to be an Activist in order to attend protests, etc? Or can it still just be a hobby, even if you're like a Ranch Foreman or something

That is way too much to manage on a site this big. You're welcome to say you're begging for change to make rent, but it is one job per person for the purposes of this system.

Can we expect potions to be integrated into duels or other systems? I want to specialise my character in the potions as much as possible, but the abilities in this field, like Potion Mastery or Potion Resistance, are currently not very effective, if you are not a broom racer, except for adding some flavour to roleplays.

No idea. It would be nice to have more uses for potions. I know discussions have happened but I cannot speak to present planned patches. I know I have plans for them, but site maintenance comes first and you guys keep me very busy.

If you have a Prodigal Ability, are you allowed to use spells/potions a year up if they're in your trunk, but the day that you post your app doesn't correspond with it? (e.g, using a certain spell or potion before the IC date of your prodigal application)

Yes, you would need to master it IC and RP it after that. Before that you have not mastered it yet unless you own a TARDIS in which case timey wimeyness becomes less a factor.
