I found a suuuper old draft of a story I wrote back in like 6th grade (I was 12/11) and it’s actually probably the first ever version of Jay Victoria holy smokes
It was supposed to be for a fantasy mystery novel I wanted to write back then, the original Jay was named Jane and she was a witch investigator who would get into trouble a lot for killing humans without a proper cover up for the human investigator (he was a magic user w/ muggle job) she was frenemies with LOL
And then I guess the conflict was that someone was making/summoning gargoyles? I think that perhaps it was a typical human/wizard world with creatures and whatnot (think of the Harry Potter world) and then the bad guy was someone who decided to open up the fae world to the human world but was releasing ‘evil’ creatures (story set in late 1800s steampunk gothic London ofc)
I honestly don’t remember much this is literally all I remember but anyways I thought it was interesting to share
