Not necessarily. I don't think people can judge my personality based on my real life appearance. That's just judgemental. Clothing and such can be a reflection of your personality or how you choose to express yourself, sure but faces can't necessarily be changed irl. (Though people shouldn't judge on clothing/such either).
If you want to change your FC, you can. But like I don't think you need to just because someone else did. Likewise, others can change if it suits their vision of their character better.
