While it might be amazing to hear, it would require a lot of coding for not a very useful feature. From what I understand, Zach isn't around at the moment and already has a list of priorities for the site that come before a sound effect.

As a mobile user and someone who knows how much effort it can take to code music into a website, I would actually be opposed to it as it can cause users a lot of problems. From my perspective, as someone who accesses this site while at work, for example, having embedded music can be problematic, especially if there is no clear way to turn it off. Music is heavy on bandwidth which mobile users often need to be conscious of. I appreciate the thematic value of music but I don't think it's very practical for the greater user base.

it would be an awesome addition in some aspects, but as kazuo said there would be a lot of draw backs, however if you want to, when you are going about the site there are various hogwarts related asmr videos, for example, this one, based around the Hufflepuff common room, that you can play in the background for some aesthetics for yourself

I don't anticipate the addition of music for the above mentioned reasons but there is nothing wrong with coming up with nice ideas so thank you for that.

Given how many people ask for help and/or want to discuss it, a channel in the discord for BbCoding may be beneficial.

The reason we don't have this is the same as for a list of other channels: we don't want to clutter the discord with channels, and if we say yes to one, we will have to say yes to a list of others as well, like a food channel that has been asked for, etc. It might seem like not much of a big thing, but there are 10 channels groups as it is atm (including the vc), and it would make channels harder to navigate especially for people who already see a lot of them.

For the sake of discussion -- There are likely some places to cut, but there are a lot of channels in the discord. The big question to ask is if the channel would be used frequently enough for that purpose to make a fresh channel or if better tutorials are a more appropriate solution.

Oh I can completely understand wanting to keep channels manageable. I would offer, for the sake of discussion, that BBCode and how to apply it is directly relevant to the Hio site whereas a food channel (as per the example given) is fun but not directly relevant. I know there is a basic guide on the site and the donation thread but I'm not sure these two facilitate conversation, especially on the more complicated things people want to do for their encyclopedias etc. That being said, if the staff doesn't feel that it would get the usage required to balance out having to monitor another channel, that's totally fair.

I would love it if we had some way to have more categories of saved threads. Maybe a way to add subfolders in favorites or something? I think it could be very useful, since currently when you bookmark something, whether it's a reply you owe, something that you refer back to regularly, or what have you, it stores them all under favorites.
