It's the end of the year, so are we supposed to "update" our trunks (for index or)? I mean, adding the spells and potions of the previous year. If yes, how can I do it?

The same way you add spells after completing homework! You post in the encyclopedia update thread

Regarding the graduating to second year, can I change the grade in my ency without posting in the reregistration thread? And can I change the height of my character as well, I mean add a few centimeters as they got taller in the last year, without reregistration?

Yes, you can do all of that without reregistration as long as your profile card/the title under your pfp says you're the next year up.

are drafts a safe place to store writing for an extended period of time? I know on some sites (like twitter) drafts have a chance of vanishing/getting wiped.. so if I wanted to keep something in there for hypothetically 3ish years is it going to get yoinked into digital void?

Yes, the drafts are a great place to store things. In my experience, none of them have ever deleted unless I manually did it myself. I have drafts from 2019 that are still saved!

I remember seeing somewhere that you learn all spells and potions of your year after you graduate, even if you didn't complete all the homework. (My character graduated to second year, so do they now know all spells and potions of the first year?) Is this true or is my memory just that bad?

Yes, you just have to put all the spells in your trunk to show to others your character really knows the spells.
