During his trips back and forth from the buffet tables, Andrew had mostly steered himself clear from any commotions going on, preferring not to get involved unless he were dragged into it or the situation was dire for him to step in. Likely the professors would be able to handle it and quell any problems going on.. He hoped.

At Heather's concern, Andrew craned his neck to sweep a visual of what was happening around them.

"I think a student might've bit a professor. Like with his teeth." He cringed audibly, a little bewildered by the fact. "And there's another girl that punched someone... Actually a lot of people have been punching each other,," he admitted, shaking off his anxiety with a nervous chuckle. But hey, this was Hogwarts, where a bunch of crazy things were bound to go down. As if the concept of magic wasn't already crazy enough. Andrew had learned to accept it all as the new normal. So long as none of that 'crazy' involved him, he was almost content with letting things be as they were.

At Heather's mention of the Blossom Ball, images of the table-lit bonfire sprouted into memory. "Oh yeah, I was there." He took a casual sip from his glass. "And that is all true," he reported, in such a way as if that was explanation enough.

"Hey, wanna try the dancefloor?" He'd suggest after a few minutes.

Only one minor problem. He and Heather had practiced their steps in preparation for a formal ball. Not a heavy metal concert. Perhaps he had been misinformed… But that didn't deter Andrew from improvising on the spot.

"All we gotta do is move a little faster, put some more beat into our step. Or just hop around and headbang like mad. That's what most people do at rock-and-roll concerts, I think." Not that he had ever been to one.

He rose from his chair, preparing to assist Heather out of hers. "C'mon, Catwoman," he said excitedly. "Let's go!"

If he were regular Andrew, perhaps he wouldn't have been so brave to dance and risk humiliating himself in front of a crowd. But now he was Bat-Andrew. With his identity half-hidden, the mask alone seemed to boost his confidence.

The boy would feel dirty at the end of that kiss more than likely. Yes, kisses are done with tongue. No, he was definitely not Parce, but she would not know the difference. Parce was pretty distant, mostly tolerant of her presence. There was not a physical moment of affection between them that she did not initiate. there was no chemistry, there was no flow. Other-Parce's confusion, stiffened reaction was the status quo. Just like Parce.

@Jack Warren was cursed with the face of @Paracelsus Alger Myth and therefore he shared the Gryffindor's debts, rewards and relationships. The part Veela was a bit possessive, a bit jealous and a lot lonesome. @Leah Isbell threatened what little affection she had. Alex had abandoned her as soon as a girl was into him. She failed to consider the fact that Oliver gave a crap (even as a friend), their truce was mostly her being too tired and too grossed-out to continue their war. So for a brief moment, Isbell was the target of her anger and her loneliness.

@Quinn  Healy had never fought Erin before, but he knew that something was about to happen. He rushed across the dance floor just in time. Erin's sucker-punch was caught in the palm of Quinn's hand with a loud clap. She was not taking it easy on the first year. As Quinn's fingers curled around her fist, Erin forfeited self-preservation for violence and revenge against Leah Isbell. She swung around with her other hand and punched the poor girl with all of her might, even if her leverage was limited by the part giant that was holding her hand.

"You damn bitch!" (OC: Sorry)

She shouted at the girl. "Get off my man!"  Well, one could suppose she had decided that for them. Paracelsus never agreed to be anything in particular to her, she had decided that for them. She tried to pull her hand free of Quinn's grip and his fingers would clench around her balled fist. Her knuckles snapped as he tightened his massive hand about hers. "Aragh!" She shouted in pain as the bones in her hand cracked.

"Flippendo!"

She did not see or even hear Oliver coming over all of the noise and the ear searing music. She recognized the voice, it belonged to that Ravenclaw she used to beat up. Used to being the key phrase, a few months ago they made a deal. Her victories were mostly Pyrrhic, she ended up nearly as disgusted or as disgraced as him. It was somewhat a super power she was not able to overcome with brawn alone.

She looked back in time to see Oliver knocked back by his own spell. Oliver was a goober through and through. She did not expect to be saved, she was no princess. "Got this dude!" She lied. Why did she lie? It just came out of her mouth. The desire to keep the brainiac out of the part giant's reach. She did not want the dork getting pummeled. Perhaps she was a bit sentimental even if she did not want to admit it.

Quinn had her damn attention. She looked up at the part giant defiantly as she tried a second time to pull her fist free.

"Hell is ye problem Erin? Why can't ye just enjoy the ball like a normal person huh? An why did ye punch her?"

"The hell you care. Let go!" Erin shouted. "Unless you're after my guy too, in which case... I will kick your ass too," she threatened. Big words from a little girl. She gritted her teeth. No, she couldn't let it wait could she? He was eating people. As much as she wanted to prioritize a guy who had went to the dance with someone else that she had to steal time from, she needed to face this giant and take him out. Nobody else in this school was going to do it. Looking him over from this close, she remembered why. He was frigging HUGE. But Erin was fearless

She took a deep breath, this was going to hurt.

She was just barely over 5 feet, five foot three or so. Pretty average considering the fact that she had turned fourteen two days earlier. Quinn was about two feet taller. There was no way she was going to be able to--

Well, fuck it.

Her favorite punching hand was already probably broken in Quinn's gigantic grip. She fixed her gaze upward, at the goliath and planted her other hand on, well partially around, his wrist. Her small hands and thin little fingers would not be able to be circumscribe the teen's trunk-like appendage. She tightened her grip. "Last chance," she grumbled "let go." She was warning him but the girl was mentally unhinged, a 'warning' from her could mean just about anything.

In his case, it meant she was going to recklessly and stupidly try to take him on. If her hand was not freed, she was going to use his vice-like grip and his incredible strength to her advantage. Or at the very least try. It was like swinging from a bar in gymnastics, her arms stiffened and she tried to turn her hand in his grip. If successful or not, the difference would be the pain she would feel from this audacious act. His hand was like a block to spring from, although there would be no springing if she was trapped. That was why her second hand was there on his wrist of course, to find some meager center of balance as she attempted to jump up, the burden of her 45 kg of weight on her arms, as she tried to kick the giant Quinn Healy in the chest or the head. The primary goal, not being the violence the little girl could inflict or even the essence of a surprise attack if she continued to be trapped, but rather to try to use her weight, coupled with her strength to rip free of the Hufflepuff's intense grip.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

When Santario first spoke he wasn't entirely sure who or what a Kaegan was but as he followed her eyes he realized she was looking at the pale kid being escorted out by a whole lot of people. So that Was Kaegan, and it was apparently someone she knew. He would need to follow up on that later and see who that boy was, he looked liked trouble and trouble was something he wanted to try and keep far away from his slytherin best friend. She was far too trusting and accepting of others for her own good. After all, how else would one explain why she was friends with him? As he looked around the Room he couldn't help but notice a girl dressed as a pumpkin lunge at and try to bite some other kid, what was with all the crazy people in this school?

“Where do you want to go?"

Kyle looked back towards his friend and cocked an eyebrow. where did he want to go? The ballroom was loud, full of strong scents and between the small awkward group of moshers, the really tall ginger kid man handling a shorter girl with blonde hair, and people crowding around the drinks there seemed to be nothing important really goi-

There was a large ginger person just manhandling a blonde girl? She was clearly trying to pull herself free and he was not letting go, he was sure things were being said but between the dull roar of countless conversations and the loud music he could not make any of it out. What he could make out was it seemed like she was in pain and could not pull free. That was not ok, He may be a bully himself but he atleast didn't target girls. Or rather, he didn't try to physically dominate and hurt them. He had some standards.

"I want to break that up" Kyle finally said to San, gently moving her arm off his elbow "I got this" and he stepped away from her. He took long strides towards the Ginger Half-giant, psyching himself and rolling his shoulders. he clenched and unclenched his fists, glad he had them properly wrapped so what he was about to wouldn't break the little bones in his hand. He pushed past a few people before he finally came up on the pair.

Kyle closed his right hand into a tight fist and moved in, and pulled back before saying "Hey asshole! Let 'er go!" then he threw a hard right hook, putting everything he had behind it with the punch directed to catch the Ginger right in the Jaw

Her attention was caught by the voice of a small girl referring to her as the white-haired lady. The cheek of it. Hjørdis did not bother to call her out on the lack of respect as it was quickly followed by the two words that she was worrying about: Kaegen Deathmote. She quirked an eyebrow ever so slightly as she listened to the girl [ERIS] speak. The truth was, Hjørdis had absolutely no idea why Kaegen thought she would be able to help in a situation where Alaric Equinox, the fully grown dhampir, was.

The only reason, Hjørdis had not rushed in when the whole situation played out was because she expected Equinox to be far better equipped to handle the situation - having real life experience. If he was not there, she would not trust Bercegeay to handle it - not even slightly. Regardless of her own confusion, Hjørdis nodded in response, "Very well. Thank you for informing me," She replied to the girl, dismissing her from having to stay in the group for any longer.

She turned back to face Novus, who mentioned something about learning more about Hogwarts. "This is Professor Pendrast and Galim," She introduced the boy to the other two females next to her, "I'm certain one of them could assist you,Hjørdis concluded, implying that she would not be able to. A part of her was a little gutted, to be quite frank. The boy's question - specifically his interest in muggleborns and half-bloods - had spiked her curiosity. She would have been keen to learn a bit more about his reasoning behind it - and the culture that he came from, where that was the first question to ask. "If you'll please excuse me," She added towards Novus, Maya and Elaine, sympathetically - especially Elaine, who she had attended with. This ball already was causing trouble and Hjørdis really did not want to leave her aunt here to deal with the matters alone but with a dhampir losing control, there were slightly more pressing matters. She gave her aunt an apologetic look.

With that, she nodded her head as she left the group. Her kitten, Jeger, purring on her shoulders. Hjørdis glanced back for a moment, as she heard an male voice greet the American student she had just left. She noticed the man she thought was Lear. The Ilvermorny Headmaster? She wondered silently to herself as he instantly recognised Novus. Hjørdis quirked an eyebrow, wondering if all headmasters had decided that armour was their choice of attire. She had not actually had the chance to meet Headmaster Platt before, nor did she know anything about his fashion sense. It just stood out to her as a little odd as she always thought Solomon Lear was unique in that regard.

Regardless, she did not have time to meet the rumoured Hot Headmaster that she had heard about. There were more pressing matters to attend to, at present time. Before he had even finished his sentence, Hjørdis had walked away - making a beeline straight towards the exit.

Just as she stepped out, she heard her name. The familiar voice could only belong to a certain badger. Glancing over her shoulder, she spotted his badger mask. The man drifted off mid sentence. She followed his eyes to spot a very tall girl with giant genes, no doubt.  Quirking her eyebrow, she nodded as he explained the situation. It would have appeared that another incident was taking place on the grounds. Why the students were even on the grounds was beyond her. It would appear they did not wish to attend the ball. "Kaegen Deathmote," She sighed in reply, summarising where she was going in return as briefly as she could. Why did all of these things had to happen at once? Multiple incidents and the ball had barely started. She was pretty sure she heard some more yelling as she left and she definitely spotted Erin Ryan there too. The Ryan siblings were definitely on her list of people to watch, within her house. With her words spoken, she turned and walked in the opposite direction down the corridor. Little did she know that the game of Divide and Conquer had begun.

Hjørdis had absolutely no idea where Kaegen had been taken, and so, did not bother to provide Caradoc with that information. It would only be a guess. Given that he was escorted out by the Astronomy Professor, the Astronomy Tower was a definite possibility. But the Hospital Wing was far closer, given that it was only one floor down. She would start her search there. She had no idea how she would help Kaegen but at the very least, it likely meant that he trusted her. That was an improvement, given their meeting when he explained that all Professors were out to get him. Perhaps he just needed a face he could trust. Understandable given that Equinox was very newly hired and Kaegen likely had not had many encounters with him - and Bercegeay was... just... well Bercegeay. Hjørdis would not trust her to help the situation either.

When Quinn had waved back at her she grinned a grin that soon faded when Quinn made his way across the floor to stop a punch from one girl aimed at another. Good for you, Quinn. She didn’t know that there was any other malice between Quinn and the other blonde girl (Erin Ryan) of whom she also did not even recognize as her own quidditch teammate without her signature indigo hair. If she had recognized her maybe she would have known that this fight was a bit more nefarious than she thought it was. That was however when to her surprise Kyle chimed up that he was going over to break this up. "N-no wait…" She faltered and even though her grip tried to tighten on his arm, a futile attempt at stopping him, he was off.

Her hand instinctively went to the hidden pocket where her wand was hidden within the folds of the chiffon. She wanted to help but she weighed her options carefully because she didn’t know as many spells as she would like. Incendio would be catastrophic and she didn’t know the spell that the boy(Oliver Hart) backfired onto himself. She could try a green spark spell as a distraction maybe break it up her thoughts pulled away as two professors walked passed her to leave. Why were the professors leaving?! She bit her bottom lip before stepping to the side of the entrance not wanting to be in anyone’s way.

She found that no matter how hard she tried she just couldn’t seem to do anything. Useless… She was being too hard on herself as usual. She was 11 and already in a situation that made her uncomfortable, but then you had this terrible music, people jumping around at each other in a kind of violent manner (moshing), and way too many people in general. She didn’t want to brave being pulled into the violent jumping area to get to Gris and she couldn’t recognize anyone else she knew from where she was at. So here she was standing alone with her hands clutching at the folds of her black and red dress, biting her bottom lip, thinking about whether or not she should just leave... The exit was merely a few steps to her left.

Sorry for the confusion with the whole punching thing! I think my connection was a bit slow so I missed a post or two.
Leah blinked a few times to clear her vision, and gaped at what she saw.

First, there was a boy whose spell backfired and sent him flying into an older girl, who... wait, was that the 'Sleeping Beauty' girl Leah had been talking to earlier? Small world.

The extremely tall boy who had caught the first punch was still holding the curled fist of the girl who had punched her. They seemed to be having a furious discussion, and Leah instinctively stepped back.

The girl spat a few words at Leah - words she hadn't ever heard aimed at her - and seemed ready to continue the attack.

OOC: I'm tempted to say 'I came out here for a good time but I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now'

But then her attention was off Leah and on her (sort of) saviour, and she was warning him to let go.

She glanced over at Jack, wondering if he was alright. He had just been kissed unwillingly, and there seemed to be some kind of misunderstanding here, so she wouldn't be surprised if he was as baffled as herself. All she had gathered was that this girl - his date? - seemed to think that Leah was Jack's date. Which was a ridiculous thought in itself, Leah thought, since all of their conversations were centred around how nice the food here was.

Over in the corner, most of the conflict she had been eyeing had been cleared up, and it struck her that the new conflict was here. Great. Just what she wanted to achieve: a stinging face and people staring at her (and not in a good way).

This would be so much easier if she had just accompanied Adlai here and stuck with her. Then she wouldn't be flitting between companions and ending up starting fights by just talking to someone. Where even was Adlai? She searched the crowds for her, and instead noticed some professors leaving the room.

Wonderful.

The next thing she knew, someone was trying to punch the taller boy and Leah's attacker was also moving suddenly.

Leah took a few more steps back, still close enough to try and understand why she had been a victim, but just out of reach of the punching girl.

"Serena! Hey!" Over the roar of the group and the music, he found himself in her company, along with her new companion. He was grinning behind his mask, determined to have a good time even with the scene unfolding beyond the crowd. "You two look fantastic!" he shouted, clearly unable to hear any better. It sounded like a riot to him, a rowdy group of people who had enough to drink after a football game their team just won.

As much as the group was going, he tried to stay with Serena and the others, too caught up in the small bit of chaos. "I haven't been this loud since the last Quidditch World Cup!" He sounded happy, caught up in the cacophony of music and everything else near him. He rode the euphoria while it lasted, hoping it even lasted. But being surrounded by a decent crew of people was all he could really ask for in this masquerade party.

Reid noticed the quietness of the other girl and pulled himself away for a moment to try to get her to come out from behind Serena. But the Hufflepuff boy was huffing and puffing, out of breath from dancing and his mask was a little lopsided. His hands fell on his hips as he gave a mock salute, handshakes were too formal. "I'm Reid! What's your name?" He gave a brief glance to the scene beyond them though, it was Quinn and some other people. But the people constantly passing made it hard for him to understand what was going on.

He more or less kept his attention on the girl who hadn't introduced herself yet. It was in his nature to try and be as friendly to the other as he could be. There wasn't in any sense to him to be bad company in such a good setting. Every now and then, he tried to get a glimpse of what was happening beyond them.

While the young girl was standing by herself she noticed someone that she had recognized and decided to go over there to talk to them. Though she didn't really want to go into the crowd, but it wasn't that bad. There wasn't that many people surrounding the person she wanted to talk to.

Once she got over there the Ravenclaw realized her mistake. It was indeed a crowd, but hopefully she could just shove her claustrophobic habits deep down and have a good night. "Hey Reid! I haven't seen you since last year how's it going?" She tried for a small conversation. Her hand was balled into a fist and pressed against her collarbone like she always did whenever she was having a hard time breathing. It felt like the crowd was closing in on her, no place to escape. Her eyes darted from person to person feeling them get closer and closer. It was becoming harder for her to breathe, but the stubborn girl came over here for a reason and that was to actually social and she would do just that. It wasn't super obvious that she was freaking out, but the way her breathing was slowly quickening showed signs of her panick.

Adlai watched from behind Serena’s as the boy approached her. “I’m Ried. What’s your name?” he asked her giving her a mock salut. She laughed as smile spreading across her face.

She noticed him glancing once and awhile over to a group a people. One of them she did notice, it was her friend @Leah Isbell. “Um, I’m Adlai, Adlai Rod. Nice to meet you Ried.” She said having to raise her voice a bit louder than what she would have preferred in order for him to hear her.

Like him she would occasionally look over to the group and suddenly noticed that @Leah Isbell looked confused and somewhat in pain. Had something happened? If so what? Why did everyone look so angry? Several assumptions began to fizz around her mind.
How could have Leah done anything wrong? She thought. She was one of the sweetest people Adlai knew. She also her first, and really her only friend.

“You seem like your having fun.” She told Ried as she noticed he was out of breath. She then looked over at the dancing crowd. It looked like fun, but she wasn’t sure if she’d be any good or be able to dance to the beat.

People never failed to amuse her. How the professors walked through thin clouds of smoke, and biting children; without taking any notice, was absolutely mind boggling. Maybe they were the crazy ones after all. And why did Xailah cast Fumos in the first place? Why, there were eyes that did not need to be watching the Kaegen and Aurelia conflict, of course. It was merely just a settle distraction. So this is what the night was going to be like- utter chaos, with no reasoning behind it whatsoever. Alright. She could live with that. At least the night was going to be an interesting one.

She was starting to get a little antsy, so she moved up and onto the far side of the stage (assuming that there is one, if not, she'll stand on a chair.), out of the performers way. She was still on the hunt, she knew the man that she was looking for, was still on the school grounds somewhere. People like him didn't just go away, because that would have been the smart thing to do. He was big. He was dumb. There wasn't much to it.

"Schrödinger, lets play I Ssspy." The little elevation that she got was just enough, for her to see the tops of everyone heads. "I'll ssstart." Hmm... The iridescent sheen from her eyes, bounced off of each person. "I ssspy with my little eye...something tall." Schrödinger looked through the crowd as well, a drowsy look in his orange eyes. He let out a croaky little trill. "Ah you got it first try." She had been watching the ginger boy who had gone to help the small first year, Leah.

"Okay your turn now." Schrödinger sniffed the air, his eyes half-shut. "Too easy. Tall and blonde? Its that girl over there." Xailah let out a uneasy chortle, and pointed a clawed finger in the direction of the tall female. This observation only set her suspicions in stone. She knew that girl from somewhere. But where? Tall blonde girls weren't particularly common around here. Perhaps she was a professor? We don't have any blonde professors. Maybe an Ilvermorny kid? No the other children weren't that tall. Maybe that kid is just a freak. -No, that wasn't right, none of those were right. She cocked her head to the side. "I know her." He was here alright. "Its my turn right Schrödinger?" Schrödinger mewled, and draped himself around her neck. "Alright. I ssspy..."
