On May 30th, at 12a.m, Fern was born to Harmony and James Fallow, in London. Harmony wrote to her parents, in the British countryside. James wrote to his parents, who live in Ireland telling them the news. Since her parents were aurors, she usually stayed with her grandparents in the countryside.

Her house was warm and comfy, she usually stayed there in winter. She looked at different books to study, and played outside in the snow, that is if there was any. She was normally reading in the armchair by the fire.

Her grandparents house, were she usually stayed was small but homey, they had a cat named Starr and an owl named Constellation. She normally read books by the fireplace, or tends to the plants. Her grandparents, Skye and Leo took her out on walks around the countryside pointing out the beautiful sky and amazing wildlife. Fern spent most her time reading study books, that her grandparents had from Hogwarts.

The next few years Fern was reading books and playing outside, till she was 11, and got her hogwarts letter. She excitedly bouncing around and ran off to tell her parents whom were home that day. They were very ecstatic and sent an owl to tell Fern’s grandparents the amazing news. She was ecstatic too, the rest of the day they celebrated.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Fern was around 7 or 8 when she first did magic. Her mother and father were off work for a day, there was no wind, just a sunny day. Her mom was cleaning the windows her father was inside making lunch, Fern was pretending to fight a dragon using a stick as a ‘sword’ and a leaf as a ‘shield’, the ‘dragon’ was charging at her in Fern’s imagination, the leaf shield was a few feet away, Fern had managed to lift the leaf off the ground 4 or 5inches, stopping the ‘dragon’, her mother was watching then jumped up and grabbed Fern’ father, Fern was still holding the leaf in the air, it not swaying at all. Her parents were overjoyed.

Character Backstory:
Before Hogwarts, her family lived on a farm in England, raising all sorts of animals, including donkeys, horses, chickens, cows, sheep, and so forth. Growing up, Miciela had no issue making friends in school. In fact, Miciela was so outgoing that she often got in trouble in school for talking too much. One could say she took after her father, who is just as talkative and friendly as her. Her father, Aldo Romano, was a local healer who fell in love with a muggle he met at the train station when he first moved from Italy to England. Aldo spent much time in the Wizarding World following Quiddich players to heal them during their tournaments. Once he met his wife, Elaine, he decided to settle down on the farm where he would later explain to her that wizards were real. Unfortunately, Elaine thought it was a joke at first until Aldo performed Lumos in front of her. At that moment, Elaine was shocked, but after a few tense moments, she nodded. This was strange though because she was always known to be a very expressive person. Elaine would then spend the rest of the afternoon in silence until bedtime. When the sun rose the next day, Elaine was gone never to be heard from again leaving Aldo to raise his two-year-old daughter all on his own.

First Instance of Magic: One day, when Miciela was six, she was helping her family out at the farm by feeding the chickens. Unfortunately for Miciela, there was a pair of roosters in the flock that was prone to getting aggressive. As she was feeding the flock, these two roosters decided to attack her causing Miciela to panic. In her panic to get away, she made the roosters swell up fairly fast until an explosion of feathers occurred all over the farm. It was here that her father realized that Miciela is a witch.

Before I can add you to the index, a few things need to be changed:
  • You roleplayed as a first year in September 2022, so your character would now be 13 - please update the age in your encyclopedia and provide an IC explanation for why she didn't move up with the rest of her class.
  • The first instance of magic should not be so powerful that an adult wizard can't reverse it, and exploding the roosters is animal cruelty that isn't allowed on our site, please rewrite this. Here is a link with more information about first instances of magic.

Character Backstory:
Landon is born in 2012, in the city of Oxford.
He lived there all his childhood. His sister was born when he was barely 2 years old, it was also at this time that his grandmother offered him Mr Spark, the plush toy from which he never separates. Since his parents worked hard and did not have much time to look after him, his brother and sister, they spent much of their childhood with their grandmother. That brought them very close, and they are very close. She is a half-blood, and lives in a Moldu neighborhood so Landon grew up surrounded by Moldu objects, and knows this world very well despite being a born wizard.
He met his best friend Sasha there, he lives in the house next to his grandmother’s house. They used to play in the cabin at the back of the garden. It was kind of their secret base. Sasha and her family are Muggles and have no idea that Landon and her family are wizards.
Landon has no idea what it’s like to be in a school, all his life he was homeschooled. His father took his education very seriously and preferred to hire the best teachers to teach them while waiting for the return to Hogwarts. He also took piano lessons, Italian, Russian and French.
Two years ago Landon and her sister managed to convince their parents to adopt a cat, and that’s how Lilo came into the family.
First Instance of Magic:
Landon was 5 when the first sign of magic appeared.
It was a quiet afternoon, it was sunny, so her parents decided to install it on the balcony, which was located on the 2nd floor. Landon had fun climbing on all the objects on the balcony, to simulate a course. He ended up climbing on a chair posing next to the railing and leaning on it. He bent down to look at the cars in the street and fell. When his parents found out, and they came down, they realized he didn’t have a single scratch, not even a small cut or a bruise.

A few things before I can add you to the index:
  • Each encyclopedia needs to contain the full name, house, age, school year, species, and background of your character. Yours is missing the age and species, please add these.
  • First instances of magic need to be unintentional - wishing that Mr Spark would come to him and then having it fly over to him is considered intentional. Please modify this - here is more information you can reference. We also ask that the age of the first instance of magic is between the ages of 3 and 10.
  • Just wanted to make sure you're aware that if you wanted to use Landon's knowledge of the Muggle world to get the ability The Muggle Condition, you wouldn't be able to do that with the blood status of Wizard born on your profile. (See here for more information about our blood statuses.)

Character Special Race/Talent: Metamorphmagus

The Metamorphmagus trait has been passed down the one side of the maternal family line for generations. Her abuelo (grandfather) had no idea where the gene had started or how long it had been in the family but it came from him. Unfortunately, it did skip a few generations as of late. At the very least, it seemed to skip Xiomara’s maternal great-grandfather, as well as her mother and her mother’s siblings.

Her grandfather was the last metamorph in the family - until Xiomara, that is. It seems to be a trait that is dying out but it was not known why. Many people had married muggles - including her grandfather - so the pureblood line had been heavily diluted at this point that they were more muggle than wizards. Whether that correlated with the trait disappearing or not was unknown to them, but it was their closest guess for a reason.

Shortly before her eleventh birthday, Xiomara’s first instance of magic occurred. When she walked into the living room, where her mother was sitting with her grandparents, with bright blue hair and a very shocked expression on her face, her mother started to scream. Martina was thrilled and took it as a sign of her magic coming through. There was a hair-changing spell, after all. It was not impossible for this to be how it occurred. As a squib, Martina was not sure if Xiomara would inherit the magical abilities or not. So she was thrilled at the prospect that her daughter had the chance to go to Hogwarts and experience a life that she missed out on.

However, her abuelo was silent. He started to tear up from sheer joy and it took him minutes to explain why he was so welling up. He realised that this might have been a sign of her metamorphmagus powers coming through. None of his children had inherited that from him, even if they became witches and wizards. He was starting to think that the gene would end with him.

Xiomara was not only blessed with magical abilities - something she had started to doubt that she would get - but she was also blessed to be a metamorph. It was not something she cared about too much, thinking she would never be one anyway. However, when she saw the look of pride on her abuelo’s face, it became something rather dear to her.

He immediately started to try and train her to utilise her metamorph powers but it was to no avail, sadly. No matter how hard she trained - and she did train hard - she seemed just did not seem to get it. Whilst she had the trait, it was something she struggled to control. Occasionally, she would sneeze and her nose would change shape slightly. When she got angry, her mother could have sworn her eyes turned red once. Another time, she was panicking because she thought she had broken her abuela’s (her grandmother) favourite vase and she noticed that her hair had turned purple. She was getting better but it took pretty much all of her concentration to do even a minor shift and most of her transformations were still uncontrolled.
Character Backstory: On the night of 5th November 2012, Martina Torres gave birth to an adorably chubby girl that she named Xiomara Marisol Torres. Martina moved to Enniskillen, a town in Northern Ireland, when she found out she was pregnant to live with her parents so they could help her raise the newborn. This also gave Martina the chance to look after her parents, who were getting older.

Xiomara never knew her father and he probably did not even know of her existence. From what she had put together over the years, he was an Englishman whom her mother had met but it seemed to be a short fling, rather than a relationship. Martina was always angry when she asked about him, so it was hard to figure out what stories were true and which weren’t. Once she said he was a pureblood wizard who left because she was a squib and he was afraid their child would be but Xiomara was pretty sure from the other stories that her father did not even know of her existence. In truth, Xiomara would have liked to meet him but she was not driven by that desire, figuring that her mother would never reveal a name or what he looked like.

Besides, she also had to contend with her mother’s boyfriend at the time. She never actually met them from what she knew but she would occasionally hear her mother complaining to her abuela about a guy and it sounded like someone she had been dating. They never really seemed to stick around but it was also not something her mother spoke to her about so, for all she knew, her mother had a loyal partner for the past eight years.

She was really close to her family in general though and she did not hold any resentment towards her mother about her father or potential boyfriends. The young girl grew up in a mostly muggle lifestyle despite being a halfblood, because of her abuela (grandmother) who was a muggle and mother who was a squib. Her abuelo (grandfather) was a half-blood wizard though, so she knew of magic. She did not actually get her first instance of magic until rather late, and her family suspected that she too would be a squib as such. Xiomara attended a local muggle primary school, where she took part in as many extracurricular activities as she possibly could because she loved trying new things. It was likely also a distraction from the fact that she could not do magic, even though she knew of its existence. She wanted to find what she was good at in the muggle world, as she thought that would end up her whole life.

Xiomara probably spent the most time with her abuela. They would spend time getting up to mischief whilst Martina was at work. Her abuela taught her a little bit of Spanish, helped her fall in love with photography and taking pictures and taught her to cook. In truth, her Spanish was of a fairly basic level and she was, by no means, fluent but she would try to speak to her grandparents in Spanish. She also could not cook but she did often try to help out, even though she was probably more of a hindrance than help! It probably helped that she was partly named after her abuela - Marisol Torres (née Diaz) - and Marisol Senior always called her ‘Marisol’ instead of Xiomara, and she would always respond with “It’s Xiomara, abuela!” in a fake exasperation with a fake roll of her eyes. In truth, she was just playing around and she did love it when her abuela called her Marisol because she loved that she was named after such a sweet woman.

The day she got her letter to Hogwarts was a day full of excitement for her. Xiomara immediately started to bother her abuelo with questions, trying to drag them to the stores to get school supplies and learn everything she possibly could beforehand. He would always chuckle and say she’ll be fine and everything she needed to know will happen in due time but would regal her with a few stories of his school life or adventures. As she learned about the world a little, she decided that she wanted to become the Minister of Magic. It just sounded cool! Now that she knew she could do magic, she figured she might as well aim high! Of course, she had absolutely no idea what the minister actually did or what being in the ministry entailed but her abuelo said it would involve hard work.
First Instance of Magic: Xiomara’s first instance of magic came very shortly before her eleventh birthday. She had given up hope of becoming a witch, in truth. This was fine with her. It was not great as she thought it would be very cool to have magical powers - like a superhero. However, she had grown up in a mostly muggle household, so she supposed her life would just continue as it was.

Her mother wanted to throw her a big eleventh birthday party, though - perhaps with the hope of trying to keep her daughter optimistic, or maybe to distract her if she did not receive her Hogwarts acceptance letter. She had bought Xiomara a very large, poofy blue-coloured dress. The nine-year-old tried on the dress, as her mother had requested, to make sure it fit. Xiomara hated dresses but she wore it for her mother. As she was staring at the mirror, she could not help but feel that something felt off. Like something was missing but she could not figure out what. Maybe some bracelets or maybe needed to braid her hair? She had no idea. As she was staring at her appearance, trying to change it to look nicer, her hair suddenly changed into a bright blue colour.

Xiomara’s jaw dropped open, her eyes widened and she stared at herself for a few moments before just blinking. Over and over. It stayed blue. Immediately, she grabbed the ruffles of her skirt, trying to lift it as she dashed into the living room where she knew her mother and grandparents were chatting. She just stood there, allowing them to say something. It took a moment of shock but her mum started to squeal in excitement, hugging her and starting to play with her hair. Xiomara just stood there, trying to process what was happening. It took her minutes to accept the news - a huge grin flooding her face as she tightly squeezed her mother and asked “This means I can go to Hogwarts, right?”. As promised, on her eleventh birthday, she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Character Backstory:

Oonagh Brown was born in the Gateway to the Highlands Stirling, Scotland, on the night of 30th of March in the year of 2013 to a couple by the names of Iseabail Brown and Conall Graham. However to understand this young lady’s upbringing, one has to go further back, to a time in which Oonagh Brown was yet to be born.

Iseabail Brown was born into a family of farmers, as the oldest of three and her mother growing sick, she knew it was partially her responsibility to see to it that her siblings were well taken care of. Aside from a quaint cottage near the outskirts of the city the family owned a pasture with highland cows and blacknose sheep. What this meant for the young girl growing up was a tight schedule between early mornings, stressful days at school and even busier afternoons on the farm. She grew independent at a young age and knew one had to work hard to earn their keep and pave their way, a lesson she would later make sure to teach her daughter. By the time graduation rolled around she had set her sights on Conall Graham, a boy from her neighborhood. This only added to the tasks and numerous distractions she had in life. Between high school, a job, helping out on the farm and keeping her younger siblings in line, she now also had love to worry about, a distraction that was quite unwelcome yet too tempting to ignore.

So life kept her busy and when her younger siblings left the nest to spread their wings, she stayed to now take care of her elderly parents, with the help of her high school sweetheart turned life partner and father of a little daughter that had blessed the family at this busy point of their life. To keep afloat the entire family kept busy and so aside from managing the highland cows and other pastures that came with the cottage, Iseabail had taken the position in one of the local elementary schools, while Conall worked long shifts in a dreadful office job in one of the closeby cities, Glasgow. Coming home in the evenings with supper on the table was perhaps the most peaceful time this family knew, before it was time to retire for the evening. Their farm relied heavily on the help of student interns and low-earning farm hands during that period of their lives.

Oonagh, since the night she was born, had a temper unlike any other infant or kid Iseabail or Conall had ever laid eyes on. Oonagh did not visit a kindergarten, nor was she blessed with a nanny to give her the focus she could have used, what with how much trouble she got in as a toddler. Instead she grew young between cow feed and wool, raging war with the chickens in the coop that did not take lightly to her grubby little toddler hands reaching for their feathers, or the fact that she frequently decided to boost her immune system by stealing their seeds instead of feeding them whenever she was allowed to help an inattentive farm hand. Her wild curls were kept short until she had a word to say about it, as her parents grew tired rather quickly of having to pick all sorts of things out of her hair as well as brush out any knots that gathered. However as soon as she could formulate sentences and even before that, her tantrums quickly made such a procedure a nightmare for everyone involved; though arguably her complaints whenever her father had to pick little sticks, hay and animal feed from her hair from time spent at the barn and on the pastures, was perhaps not much better on either one’s nerves. Though there was less biting and hitting involved as long as her blonde locks were left unharmed.

Despite a lack of faith into the public school system, especially knowing how disastrous it could be for a free spirit such as Oonagh, Iseabail found herself unable to provide any homeschooling and there was simply not enough left within the family’s budget to hire a home tutor that could supply Oonagh with the education that was more fitting to her personality and being. So against better judgment Iseabail and Connal would send their little girl to an elementary school close by, knowing that while she would have trouble with teachers and authority, she would certainly not be a victim of the students. Too strong was her confidence and personality and in a way they liked her that way - rambunctious and trouble seeking - and would not have her any other way.

Her parents remained in the right, when seldom a day passed by in which there wasn’t a teacher’s note attached to her communication binder. Various complaints that were met with an eye roll and her parents were never quite sure how to deal with it. Arguably in many cases they did not even disagree with the essence or reasoning of their daughter’s behavior, so how does one punish a child for being ‘disruptive’ when the child was in the right? How does one scold their child for another kid’s broken nose when their daughter had stood up for herself? It was after all what they had taught her from the very start. To stand up for herself, to question authority and to pave her own way no matter what people said she could and could not do or achieve. Even when they did try to ground her for the more serious things, her young age did not stop her from climbing out the second story window or at the very least trying to and a broken arm and a hospital visit later, Iseabail and Connal knew that Oonagh would find ways to escape and who could blame her for wanting to spend time in nature? Other parents would have begged for a child that loved nature half as much as Oonagh did. It was however also in their interest to challenge Oonagh academically, though it would provide more challenge to them than her as getting her to pay attention without letting her mind wander proved more difficult. It was the more interactive classes in which the young girl thrived, though even in PE did she manage to disobey authority enough to only land her a passing grade, despite excelling at the practical portions of it.

Oonagh hardly seemed to mind the grades. To her she did not have to worry about the future. It had always been clear to her that one day she would take over the farm and she wished the day would come sooner. Her mother surely could trust her more, could she not? She knew all the things she had to do in and out, knew all the cows and sheep by name and still managed to upkeep the feud between her and the chickens. The cows were like second family to her and often her afternoons once school was over were spent amongst them, not other kids. Frankly getting a cow to let her ride on its back had proven more easy than maintaining a friendship and what was the point of keeping friends anyway? They came with commitments and demands. There was always something about school that felt like she didn’t belong, that she was destined for different things, bigger things than sitting in a classroom, learning about fractions and writing lines until her hands cramped up. She longed for freedom, adventure and a good time and frankly, not even home could give her that. The biggest thrill she felt was climbing the roofs and even school time was often spent getting places students were not meant to be. It was a game truly, to see how much she could defy expectations and that perhaps was the only thing that got her through lectures. That and staring out the window, daydreaming of big pirate adventures and hidden treasures, slaying dragons and overcoming obstacles no one else had ever faced.

Life however, loved to have some plot twists and Fate was known to keep an ace up their sleeve. So when Oonagh was nine years old, she was discovered by the Book of Admittance. But the fact would remain unbeknownst to her, until she reached an age of eleven. During playtime in the yard, she and another girl named Martyr found themselves locked in a storage shed for playtime equipment such as tricycles and other things that always turn out to be great tools for mayhem. The door was not actually locked, but being held close by some upperclassmen from fourth grade. Obviously that made the young girl’s blood boil and when she kicked the wooden door (not before screaming all insults and threats known to her) and the door creaked but then splintered into a million pieces, exploding from its hinges. Fueled by her anger the lioness charged the surprised boys and with Martyr not allowing their escape, was only satisfied after both of them had bloody noses and were crying for their teacher. Needless to say it was Oonagh and Martyr and not the boys who served detention that day and Oonagh swore to steal their homework and burn it the next time these boys would leave their school bags unattended. They have made an enemy, they were lucky it was their last year in this school…

𝕰arly 𝕷ife. Growing up on a farm was all that Oonagh could have asked for looking back. Two loving parents, freedom to do as she pleased, nature as her playground at her full disposal. Surrounded by stubborn sheep and unflinching cows in the Scottish Highlands she learned quickly that nothing could ever stop her from doing just whatever she pleased.

𝕰arly 𝕰ducation. Oonagh grew up in the Muggle world without knowing about magic until her letter arrived. Even her first instance of magic never seemed that magical to her. Everything in her life felt mundane, but exciting nonetheless. Growing up and going to a school in Stirling, the Gateway to the Highlands, she was always the terror of students and teachers alike. Her grades were pretty average, but she never was one to go above and beyond just to please anyone and her talking back and many fights got her in trouble almost daily.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
As fate had wished it, Oonagh had been at school. To be more precise, during recess while she was outdoors, she and another girl had been trapped in a garden shed that housed the playtime vehicles. The other kids held the door closed on them and as Oonagh’s temper snapped. A kick delivered to the door made it explode into splinters. Distracted by her anger, she paid it little mind and immediately went after the kids that were trying to flee, ready to fight them. Oonagh and the girl had decided that they wouldn’t let these kids get away without revenge. A friendship was forged that day.

Zoe was born on June 1, 2012, at St. Mungo's Hospital. She was always sick and had fragile health. Zoe had a difficult childhood. She couldn't find friends because everyone thought she was insane and weird because she was always forgetting that she couldn't talk about magic with them. And sometimes she forgot about that rule. The kids were making fun of her. However, she did have a childhood best friend, Alice, who unfortunately was a Muggle. After Zoe's mother's death, she lived for a while in her grandmother's house, which was situated in a Muggle village, where she met Alice by accident. She knew she couldn’t talk to Alice about magic, but they quickly became friends. When she got accepted to Hogwarts, Zoe was really sad because she couldn't tell her friend Alice about it. Zoe has a brother named Diego, who is 13 years old, a mother named Cindy, and a father named Sirius. Both of her parents were wizards with a pure bloodline. Her mother didn't like her much and favored her brother Diego, while her father was nice to both of them equally. Cindy, in front of Sirius, pretended to be nice to Zoe, but it was forced and insincere. When Zoe was six, Cindy died due to the dragon pox, which left Zoe with mother issues. She has a good relationship with her brother, who is in his third year at Durmstrang. He is in Durmstrang because Zoe's grandfather always thought that all the males in the family had to study in Durmstrang because of the strict and hard education there. He always thought boys would get stronger and smarter at Durmstrang than at Hogwarts or any other magical school. After her mother's death, her father took care of them and tried his best to be a good dad, though it was challenging for him. He now has a girlfriend named Miranda. She is really nice to Zoe and Diego. [/sup] Zoe loves her grandparents on both sides. But her grandmother from her dad's side died, and her grandfather is sick. She loves her grandparents from the mom's side. .

Zoe's first sign of magic was when she was 5 years old. It was in June, in a Muggle field. Zoe and her older brother went out to get wood like Muggles. A river was next to the field. Zoe went to get her head wet, it was very hot! She sat down, and then she fell into the water! Zoe's brother starts to panic. Zoe doesn't know how to swim yet. One moment, the water disappears. Diego, Zoe's brother, sprinted to pick Zoe up and get out of the river. Zoe's father was very happy for the first sign of magic. It was celebrated as a second birthday. An older brother who is in Durmstrang.

Your birth year is too old to be a first year now. I can see you did not roleplay onsite when you were here last, and as such, you can change your birth year to match the current first years who will be graduating in a few weeks (born 1st of September 2011 - 31 of August 2012) or if you would like to stay a first year this coming year and not graduate (please let your Head of House know) your character would be born between 1st of September 2012 - 31 of August 2013.

Can you also explain more on your characters backstory? Why she grew up with a muggle friend although Zoe was pureblood? Purebloods are integrated into wizarding society and most of the time avoid muggle society. It would be rare, and extremely difficult, to grow up in the muggle world. Also, why did Zoe's brother go to Durmstrang and not Hogwarts if the family grew up in England?

A few questions for your backstory. Why did people think Zoe was insane? What illness did her Mother die from? Muggle illnesses can be cured and so it would have to be a magical illness that her mother died from.

I presume you have also made edits to your encyclopedia as you are now completely missing a trunk post. You will need to add in a post that has your stats, abilities, spells and potions (explained here).

-The "creatures" Sheol was attacked by were vampires that had gone feral. It is assumed they had lived in the ziggurat undisturbed for the good part of a century and were likely suffering from severe mania due to prolonged starvation and bloodlust. How were they staying alive? ...I'll leave that up to your imagination but the implication is not pretty.

-Sheol's vampirism predates modern knowledge of vampires and how to deal with the ailment, his family dealt with his affliction very crudely as a result.

-Blood sacrifices still have a place in the Lazarus home, but to a far lesser degree than when Vampirism was first introduced into their bloodline. With the dilution of their vampiric blood (and inclusion of modern wizarding/vampire laws), the sacrifices are far and few, it is more of a religious and ritualistic practice now (yes I am aware of the provision of blood bags which they also utilize regularly, this is purely for flavor). Human sacrifices are not used anymore (and will not be), but they may still obtain blood from animals.

-The spread of Sheol's vampirism was eventually made into a consensual ritualistic practice among the Lazarus household as a means to ensure a longer lifespan, up until recent years. Prior to Asmond, the dhampirs in the family were turned/thralls.

-Noticing that those directly afflicted with vampirism displayed a decline in magical abilities, the Lazarus household began intentionally pairing themselves off with wixes from strong magical (pure)bloodlines to produce hybrids that displayed both magical promise and vampiric sturdiness.

-The vampirism is edgy and screwed up. It is meant to be with this narrative. I intend to expand on the origins more outside of this app (to spare it getting lengthy, sorry guys), and will run through the reregistry when I do, if need be.

Sheol Lazarus, great grandfather of Martyr, was not a man who knew fortune. He'd spend the better part of two decades in search of fantastical treasures he'd never come to find; suspended with the belief that patience and persistence was key, and if he looked hard enough he'd make his big break in the world of archeology and treasure hunting.

Patience and persistence would be no boons to him when he arrived at the excavation site of an ancient Mesopotamian ziggurat. Fully convinced the venture would be the breakthrough he sought, he eagerly took up the job with a small band of fellow archeologists in spite of warnings from locals that rumored the temple was cursed. Sheol did not believe in myths, ironic considering his profession, and would proceed with his investigation of the temple. He would find that the rumors were far more than just stories made up to scare tourists- they were very much real.

Sheol and his party would disturb something in the unholy temple that had been laying dormant for a very long time; a mistake that would very well be their last. They were quickly outnumbered by a swarm of beasts that smelt of death and moved with a speed no man could counter. Frenzied, the creatures pursued them with a hunger that only wild animals knew. A bloodbath ensued in the ziggurats belly.

Only the excavation party would know what went down- had any of them actually survived the assault.

Reports of the group would make their rounds in associated archeological circles, and they would eventually be marked as missing persons in the weeks to follow. However, be it by some miracle or otherworldly influence, members of the party started reappearing, Sheol included. They came back... different- for lack of a better word, and none would speak of their experience when pressed. Their associates knew something was wrong though. Eventually they were discharged from the excavation and sent back home to their respective families.

This was were things would go wrong for the prestigious pureblood Lazarus household. Sheol seemed to behave relatively normal once he arrived back home. And while his family detected something off about the man (which they excused as a downtrodden spirit, resulting from another failed excavation), home life was fairly quiet. Until one accursed night befell the family.

Sheol had been complaining the days following his discharge, about an "itch" in his stomach. He was hungry, always hungry, but food felt like ash in his mouth. It was unsatisfying. He'd grow seemingly ill in the span of a few hours, before restlessness set in. Restlessness turned to irritation, and irritation warped into maddened frenzy. His brother had been sent to his room to check on him, and would be met with a face full of claws and long, gnashing teeth. Sheol brutally maimed his sibling that night, but in doing so he discovered the sustenance he so desperately craved: blood.

Sheol was restrained upon discovery of the slaughter and locked away in a dep chamber of the Lazarus home. Unfortunately, his brother would not survive the wounds inflicted upon him.

Not... in a normal way. His body was taken for burial preparation, but it would never make it into the ground. On the morning following his unfortunate fate, while his family contemplated what to do with the man who killed him, he would rise at the first light of dawn: not quite dead, but not quite alive either. He was something other-

-A monster like his brother; afflicted with a curse that ran through the still water of his veins- a curse that his family had no clue how to handle humanely. Unwilling to give up their kin, the family kept both monstrous siblings behind closed doors. They hid the men from society, giving them raw animal scraps to quell their beastly sides. When scraps were no longer able to sustain them, the family turned to the occult for aid.

Rituals yielded promising results. Blood sacrifices put the men into docile states- human proved to be the most effective, but in a pinch, any blood from stolen livestock would do just fine. Over time Sheol and his brother were reintroduced into civilization- their resurgence was rejoiced and unquestioned by the public- even if the disappearances of local livestock and resident nobodies increased significantly following their reappearance.

With a growing hold on their affliction, the Lazarus brothers began to learn of its benefits: heightened senses, strength, inhuman speed, and a renewed view on life- all for the measly cost of some of their humanity. In the end, it seemed a reasonable tradeoff, and soon they sought to share their new gifts with their family. They'd turn those that were willing, giving them their sight and imbuing them with cold blood.

In time the family would become split. Some that accepted this new life would also seek refuge from it as they began to notice a decline in the magical prowess that they were once held in high regard for. The latter would later seek to dilute their cursed blood by continuing to marrying into esteemed wizarding families- a tactic that would prove effective with the generations to follow: the generation of Martyr's father, Asmond, would be the first generation of born dhampirs in the Lazarus family; followed by Martyr and her sisters as one quarter dhampir.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
This character's full first name is Magdalene, but she insists on being called Martyr, this is how she introduces herself, and is known by others.

To have her aesthetic and way of speaking make sense for the setting and her upbringing (because yes, she is still a pure blood), Marty has been introduced- to a degree- to some aspects of muggle life. Martyr's extremely loose and meager exposure to muggle culture is explained through her grandmother, Lilith.

The Explanation:
Reducio
-Lilith was born to a prestigious pureblood family and was given up for adoption in infancy. Her predecessors all experienced their first instances of magic very early on in life, and when Lilith displayed no signs of magic she was ignorantly mistaken for a squib. Fearing a potential blight in the family and the end of a strong bloodline, they removed their child from the picture. After all, they could always have another.

-Lilith was later adopted by a muggleborn couple; having been told she was a squib they decided to try to raise her in a muggle-influenced home so she wouldn't be ostracized and had a chance to at least fit into muggle society. Unfortunately, Lilith was just a very late bloomer and was not, in fact, a squib. She would learn of the wizarding world and attend a school just like any other wix.

-In adulthood Lilith would have daughters from a pureblood whom she had a few flings with. She would never marry the man and would raise her daughters by herself and with the help of her adoptive parents.

-Her daughters would grow up with knowledge and appreciation of both the magical and wizarding world (although understanding of the latter was very loose), and once they became adults and had children of their own, they would try to teach and show what they learned in youth to their children.

Biography:
Marty did not paint the image of a perfect pureblood daughter. She wasn't graceful or gentle. She didn't revel in the finer side to life that luxury offered, and she certainly wasn't prim or proper- to say the utter least. Martyr slouched when she sat. At the dinner table she propped her elbows on the expensive mahogany, despite her mother's incessant chiding about table manners. Flowery language did not find it's way into her vocabulary, and as a result there would be many a time where adults around her tried to correct the vulgar obscenities that often left her mouth. Her interest in her social status was non-existent, much to the frustration of many fellow purebloods she would encounter.

Her hair, although naturally black like her father's, had been bleached into a pale yellow as an attempted act of defiance (or perhaps an attempt to fit in with her blonde sisters and mother- a truth Martyr would forever deny), and was always teased into messy, sharp shapes. Although she was provided with the best clothes money could buy, Marty favored a wardrobe filled with distressed fabrics and interesting textures. Bold and dark were her favored flavors. She liked heavy shoes- the taller the sole the better. If they fell with a resounding thump! when she jumped on the marble tiles of her home, then they were good. Her accessories were just as outlandish, and often comprised of studs and spikes; sharp and pointy- just the way she liked them.

No, Marty was not the ideal pureblood daughter; but she was Asmond and Morgana's daughter, and they loved her all the same. Obstinacy, spikes, profanities, and all. Although, they really wished she'd lose the sharp metal jewelry, it scuffed up all their nice furniture.

Magdalene Daeva-Lazarus was born a black sheep to a family of goats- similar by ways of shared blood, but there was no hiding her horns; or rather, lack thereof. What she lacked in bite, she had to make up for with bark; which wasn't the easiest to do when she was the middle of three children. She quickly learned how to claim her place at the family table through loud words and an equally loud appearance. Had she not, her sisters very well would have eaten her alive.

The early stages of Marty's childhood were fleeting, mishmashed blurs. She remembered being younger than she was now; she remembered the silly fights with her sisters, many of which carried into the present; she could even recall the spotty meetings with other families of pureblood ranks. The Alptraums were the ones she remembered best, as they were one of the few circles still willing to keep in touch with the Daeva-Lazarus household. As she got older, she started understanding more; such as why her siblings were so annoying, why her mother coddled her so much, and why other wizarding families held hers at a distance. Hierarchy was a massive b-i-t-c-h, that's what she'd come to understand; and the beginning of childhood was only one of the first of many hurdles involving the subject.

For a family of five Martyr's life was, if you asked her to describe it, uneventful. But then, a madman would call chaos peace, if that was all he knew. And as far as Hogwarts was concerned, she was quite certain her experience was going to suck. Big time. Who needed to go to magic school anyway? So far she had spent eleven years of her life being magical, and as far as she could tell, it wasn't anything special.

First Instance of Magic:
FIoM does tie in a bit with Alan's/Oonagh's which is why it is mentioned here in detail. TL;DR: Marty was the other child that got locked in the school shed with Oonagh, Marty was not the one who blew the shed doors off the hinges, however Marty's parents mistook the incident as her FIoM and pulled her from school as a result.

Although the Daeva-Lazarus household is primarily based in London; there was a time where they had brief stay in rural Scotland to visit extended family on Asmond's side. Despite being in possession of some of the best tutors their old money could unwittingly reel in, Morgana had persuaded her husband to allow her to temporarily enroll Martyr in a no-maj education; feeling that it was important for at least one of her children to experience what learning was like at a muggle public school, just like she had in her own youth.

Martyr would attend a small Scotland school for a very short amount of time, however, she would not share the same infatuation with the simple muggle school system as her mother did. She did not do well in the public setting, often getting into fights and intentionally provoking other students.

One day she would be singled out alongside another girl, Oonagh, at recess by several other children, and shoved into a garden shed on the school grounds. The children held the doors to the shed closed, taunting the two girls on the inside. Their attempts to free themselves would prove ineffective until Oonagh dealt a stellar blow to the door, completely shattering it. A friendship was discovered with the fight that followed their escape. I'll hold 'em, you punch- it was them against the world.

At least, for a little while.

Morgana and Asmond soon found out about the mishap with the shed, and mistaking the outburst as Martyr's own first instance of magic, her parents immediately pulled her out of school; and she received education from private tutors up until her acceptance into Hogwarts. Martyr never saw or heard from Oonagh again.

Only, that elementary school fiasco was never actually her first magical instance. Just like her grandmother and her very own mother, Martyr's magic had taken it's own sweet time to show. Her true first instance of magic was far less spectacular, and had appeared around age nine after she got into a petty fight with her older sister, after her sister found out Martyr had gotten into her closet and cut up some of her clothes. As a result of sudden confrontation mid-crime, Marty got spooked and caused her sister's wardrobe to combust into flames.

Many generations ago a wizarding family by the name of LaRue fled France during the first Great Muggle War and found themselves taking up a property just outside Holyhead, Wales. This property was part of a magical village on the coast and with it came a large boarding house that the family would now operate as their profession. Many witches and wizards would come to enjoy the scenery and to visit the ocean, while others were merely passing through in search of work or to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities. Unlike others within the magical community, the LaRue's had come to Wales with open minds and caring hearts. All beings within the magical community were welcome at their home and intolerance of any kind was no accepted on their property. It lead to a unique mix of peoples that were often seen at House LaRue.

This sentiment, along with the property would be passed down the family line. Come 1970, the wizarding community of the United Kingdom would be embroiled with their own large scale war and it was during this time that the LaRue's opened their property to all those seeking refuge from hate, intolerance and violence. It was during this time that a Goblin by the name of Larluff wound up at the property in search of safety and work. Being a talented metal smith he was hired on and soon got to know the LaRue's well. Especially a young woman by the name of Beatrice. She was a talented enchanter and soon took up a business partnership with Larluff. He would smith and she would charm, all leading to another enterprise for the property and to a budding romance as well.

Soon enough the couple would conceive a child a marry. Larluff even took on Beatrice's surname as he hadn't one of his own. Their child, Arlo, came sometime later. Their union was frowned upon by much of the wizarding community, but the LaRue's accepted them with open arms. Time would pass and little Arlo would grow. Being half Goblin he was denied entrance to Hogwarts, but his parents saw to his tutoring and Larluff's knack for smithing was passed on. The family continued to flourish and Arlo moved on to adulthood. One fateful day a witch by the name of Lilian would visit House LaRue while on holiday and being a business savvy woman she immediately took interest in the LaRue business of enchanted metals. Again a business partnership would be founded and again with time this grew from friendship to love.

The couple married and together they built up the business to reach far and wide across the United Kingdom and even to Europe as well. What was already a thriving business was transformed into a vast network and with it the family wealth grew. However, the LaRue's would keep their humble roots firmly secured on the property outside Holyhead and House LaRue continued on. Soon enough a baby boy named Lemmy was born. Lilian was sure her son would inherit the magical gene and dreamt that he would be able to attend Hogwarts just like she had.

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Little Lemmy was born on April 4th, 2013 to Arlo and Lilian LaRue one bright day on their property outside of Holyhead, Wales. The couple, along with Lemmy's grandparents all own and operate a boarding house there in a small magical village by the coast. A seemingly normal existence, but what sets the LaRue's apart from most witches and wizards is their mixed species family. It all started long ago when a Goblin named Larluff fell head over heels in love with a fine Witch by the name of Beatrice LaRue. For many years Beatrice and her family had owned the property and boarding house in Wales and when the first Wizarding war befell the U.K. they opened their doors to all seeking refuge from hate, violence and discrimination. During that time one of their guests would be none other than Larluff, who took up work at the residence as a metalsmith. Beatrice, being a talented enchanter was naturally drawn to the Goblin's work and soon enough a romance blossomed. Eventually a child, Arlo, was conceived and the two even married, Larluff taking Beatrice's surname as he did not have one of his own. Since then the LaRue's have kept the same open door policy at their boarding house to all beings of the magical community. Whether they be escaping the prejudice of their own families or the intolerance of their communities, if you came to House LaRue with peace in your heart, all would be welcome.

This unique setting led to Lemmy having quite the revolving door of characters that influenced his early childhood before his acceptance to Hogwarts. New friends and new faces brought grand tales and adventure for a boy who was naturally full of wonderment. With multiple generations living under one roof the LaRue's are a tight knit family, yet many would come under their adoptive care. Taking care of each other was top priority, but sharing with their community was held in the same regard. While the boarding house provided a meager income to the family, the majority of their of their living is based off of the sale of handcrafted goods. Lemmy's father, Arlo, inherited his father's skill for metal smithing and there was no better saleswoman than his mother, Lilian. While they may not flaunt it, the LaRue's are quite a successful family that have amassed a small fortune. This has led to a comfortable childhood for Lemmy as he was lucky enough to enjoy the finer things in Wizarding life.

Lemmy's days would often be spent with his Grandparents as his parents busied themselves with work. They would school him throughout the week. Grandma Beatrice taught him the basics and the intricacies of the wizarding world, while Pop Larluff taught him of Goblin culture. He even taught Lemmy how to speak Gobbledegook. When his parents were done their work the family would come together every evening for meals and to tell stories around the fireplace. They would practice the basics of smithing or take strolls along the property. Weekends were reserved for travel or adventures in nature which left little Lemmy with quite the sense for exploration. All in all his childhood was a dream and then on his eleventh birthday an owl would arrive with his Hogwarts acceptance letter. What is to come is yet to be told...

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio

This magical moment took place when Lemmy was just eight years old. One day while the boy was exploring his families vast garden the most wonderful opportunity befell him. What more fould one ask for when a toad came across his path. Oh, how Lemmy wanted to befriend this newfound amphibian and soon a chase would begin. Everytime the boy got close his new companion would hop just out of his grasp and soon enough the two would make their way to a nearby pond. In just another hop or two his new slimy friend was but a moment away of returning to the safety of the water, but Lemmy just wanted to hold it! As the road took it final hop, Lemmy would reach out with both arms. His grasp was not long enough, but the toad would not splash below the waterline. It would float in place and gently glide back the the hands of Lemmy.

Regina SpindleWheel was born in St.Mungos. She had lived in her parent’s mansion, which is located near Hogsmeade. Before she attended Hogwarts, her parents sent her to live with her muggle grandma in muggle version of London, where she studied in a muggle school for 4 years. She made muggle friends and learned how to paint and draw.

Regina had 2 other siblings, her eldest sister, Bellus SpindleWheel, and her second eldest sister, Flora SpindleWheel. Bellus, Flora and Regina were triplets, being born in the same day and year. Not long later, her parents found out that Flora was a squib, being unable to perform magic. Flora always claimed that her muggle-born father was the reason she couldn’t perform magic. However, Bellus and Regina were lucky, being a half-blood witch just like their mother.

Compared to Flora, Regina had always been closer to Bellus. Bellus teaches her to relax and worry less about the past or future, and focus on the present instead. She also teaches her how to make more friends. While in return Regina teaches Bellus to be responsible, on-time and creative. Frequently, you could see Regina talking to herself. Most of the time it was because she had to remind herself to not be a “know-it-all”. Ever since the age of five, she had been acting like the eldest sister among her other siblings, even if she was the youngest. Regina enjoys painting, sketching and drawing in general. In fact, she always does it in her free time. Sometimes you can see her carrying her sketchbook around the school, or even carrying it down for dinner. She is an artistic and creative girl who would do well in RavenClaw.

Regina’s family are really strict to her and her sisters, they never allow rule-breaking or any sort of mischiefs around the house. Regina liked that rule, it reminds her to think carefully about the consequences of each of her actions. Regina’s father dislike animals, especially birds, although her mother tolerates them. She often begs her mom to get her an owl, as they are one of her favorite animal. Regina loves the nature, and she would never dare harm any living creature beings.

First Instance of Magic:

Regina SpindleWheel’s first instance of magic was on her 7th birthday. She was doodling in her room by herself, quietly, as usual, before she accidentally made a major mistake on the artwork, so she began searching for her eraser. When Regina returned to her paper with the block of rubber in her palm, she realized her pen began doodling by itself, creating a beautiful image of a raven with scribbles and circles. She was of course, both surprised and in awe. It was a memory she could never forget.
STATUS: Pending, Zach Zaphiere, 17 June
Reason for Pending:
1. There is no wizard hospital near the Leaky Cauldron. The famous wizarding hospital in London is St. Mungo's. You can also make the hospital vague.
2. In what environment does Regina live? For your information, Half-Blood kids are still raised with knowledge of or experience with the Muggle world.
3. Related to number 2, there would be no Muggle school around/near Hogsmeade since it is a wizarding village. If you want your character to still attend Muggle school, make her (and her family) live in the Muggle neighborhood.
4. Can you tell us more about her parents? Which one is a wizard? Which one is a Muggle/Muggle-born?
5. Since Regina and her siblings are triplets, what about her siblings? Are they wizards or squibs?
6. Your trunk post still misses the Spell and Potions part. Refer to this post when making your trunk.

No one chooses to be a Werewolf. No one. And if they did, they were out of their minds. Colby, a ten year old little girl at the time had a fate coming to her that she never planned. It was all but perfect. And it was all because she didn't care to stop.

Every summer, the Vidler's take a couple weeks to travel somewhere together as a family. It was the best the family was able to do after a quite extensive and heavy work schedule and academic year. During the summer of Colby's tenth year, the Vidler's had wanted to travel to a different part of Scotland than they had done a couple years back. It was one of their favorite adventures: hiking the highlands and witnessing the natural beauty of the world from its high grass to its babbling creeks. The Vidler family of four consisted of Colby, her brother Darius, and her parents Cassie and Jacob. Her brother Darius was four years younger than her. They were quite the opposite of each other. Colby was fierce and calculated with her thoughts and actions, never really caring to hold back her thoughts to others-- whether they were helpful or hurtful. Darius was quiet and shy, calculative in thought by a different means. Colby was the type to jump in the face of danger while Darius tried to hide. It was their differences that determined her fate.

The Vidler family were hiking together across the plains of Scotland where there wasn't a town nearby to be seen. As the sun was beginning to set, they decided it was best to camp out the night and continue on their hike in the morning. As Colby's father was magically setting up their tent and her mother was organizing some of their belongings together to make for a smooth night, both Colby and Darius were playing tag in the field, enjoying the free range.

As the sun was fully setting, the sky began to darken, showing a cascade of bright stars. A vision they were unable to see back in London with all the electrical lights. They had also seen a large, full moon, shining brightly in the sky. It was like a nightlight in the dark. Her parents, knowledgeable of what it may mean, had told both of their children that they must stay in the tent at all times at night. Of course, to any child, that meant testing boundaries and seeing how much to get away with.

Colby was tossing and turning in her bed for what seemed like hours. Perhaps it was since her parents and brother had already been fast asleep. Colby couldn't help but to want to leave the tent. The sky was beautiful and the moon was mesmerizing. As she got out of bed and put her shoes on quietly, she heard a noise behind her. Her brother seemed to have woken up and grabbed her arm, urging her not to go out. Colby shrugged him off and teased him about being too weak and scared to join her. But of course, he went along with it because he looked up to his bigger sister.

Quietly opening the tent, they ventured out and looked around to find that everything seemed normal. Quiet, but normal. There was a sense of security that Colby felt with the large moon gifting light around the field. Colby had decided to go on a little walk. Her brother, urging her to not go, was brushed off once more. To Colby, it was obviously safe. Her brother, not having the power to stick to his guns, followed her once more. The more they walked, the further they were from their tent.

It wasn't until, from afar, that they heard a howl. Colby heard it, but didn't think much of it. Her brother, on the other hand, was shaking and scared. Colby gave a small speech to her brother to toughen up and that everything was going to be alright. It had to be, right? Or their parents would not have chosen to set up tent on a full moon night. Colby kept walking, jumping over a small babbling creek. That was when she saw a vast valley ahead of her that looked beautiful in the night. The darkness of hills and the swaying of the grass was mysterious.

As they both watched the valley and the sky together in peace and quiet, was when they heard the scatter of footsteps behind them. Colby tore her eyes away from the beauty in front of her and looked around. Her sense of security was slowly coming to an end. There was someone-- or something-- here watching them. Colby, a free thinker, began to calculate in her head what might be happening. Perhaps it was just a nighttime hare scurrying through the field. In her view, there was tall grass, but also medium and large rocks that were scattered about. As she looked around, there was one rock that was moving ever so slightly. Colby's heart raced. She leaned over to her brother, who seemed beyond petrified of what he might be hearing, and she whispered for him to run.

The minute she said the words, both of them began to run back to their tent which seemed a long ways away when in fear. Darius, young and sprite, ran as fast as he could to the tent with Colby a few steps behind him. As they were running, they could hear the heavy steps running after them, and soon a howl thereafter. It only made Darius run even faster, but it made Colby skip a step where she lost a bit of her footing. It was enough for the creature behind her to catch up. As Colby had gotten her running pattern back in action, it was too late. She had felt a sharp pain on her shoulder blade in her back. She screamed from the pain and shock, using her elbow to send a blow behind her, hitting the creature right on the nose and in turn, letting go. Tears flowed down Colby's cheeks, and she kept going, finally making it to her tent where her parents were out and awake thanks to Darius' screams and shouts ahead of her.

Her father, an Auror, had scurried the family back in the tent and had created a shield to protect them and himself from the creature that was approaching them. With time and impatience, the creature had given up and ran back out into the field.

Colby, bloodied from the attack, was hyperventilating in her mother's arms. Her mother, a Healer, was working her magic to clean the wound. It was then she realized that they was not just any animal who attacked her daughter. There was no way to fully heal deep bite on her back. Colby's father confirmed that it was a Werewolf who had bitten Colby. Both of her parents had stayed quiet, knowing the fate of their daughter. They knew it was not worth teaching her a lesson about not listening to their rules. No... That lesson would be taught on its own for the rest of her life.

Every full moon, Colby is given Wolfsbane by her mother and is still locked up in the basement of their home for an extra safety measure. Colby can often be heard screaming in pain in the basement when transforming; her bones shifting and body transforming into a beast of the full moon night. Her fur color is similar to her hair where it is light brown with lightness on the tips of the fur. Her snout is small and her eyes change from her usual green to a piercing yellow.

For every month that passes, Colby began to shift in personality. Her bubbly and innocent personality became more angry. She was still the same girl who was calculative and would speak her mind, however, her childlike demeanor was vanishing and she now feared each full moon every month rather than bask in its beauty and glow.

Character Backstory:

Colby Vidler was born January 29, 2013 in London, England by her two parents: Cassie and Jacob Vidler. Both parents are magical; her father a Half-Blood who works as an Auror in the Ministry of Magic, and her mother who is a Muggle-born who works at St. Mungos as a Healer. Both her parents' work can take quite a bit of their time, however, they always seem to make time for Colby and her younger brother, Darius. Colby and Darius are four years apart, and only really started to play with each other when Colby turned eight.

Colby attended a nearby elementary school of her district for her education. While her father had hoped for her to be tutored at home, her mother, a Muggle-born, thought it best for her to socialize and be a part of the Muggle world before being fully immersed in the magical one for the rest of her life. Colby strived in elementary school and prioritized in understanding the world around her than just her studies and making friends. She found the subjects of math, science and history boring. Little would she know what subjects would be like in Hogwarts; subjects that may spark her interest more.

While making friends was easy for Colby, keeping them was rather difficult. She was not skilled at furthering relationships past the acquaintance level. This made her deem to be more independent and confident in her own skin and decisions. Perhaps this may also change in a boarding school where you are unable to separate yourself from your peers nights at a time.

First Instance of Magic:

Colby had always known about magic and was always prepped by her parents that one day her magic would surface. There was a time that Colby would wake up one day and wait for magic to accidentally occur. Her parents told her that when she least expects it, it would happen.

It wasn't until the summer after her eighth birthday that her magic accidentally surfaced. She and her family try and travel for a couple of weeks in the summer from a school and work-heavy year. During this summer, they traveled to Scotland to see the beautiful landscapes. During a hike, Colby's father had said a joke that really rung with Colby and her brother. They both laughed in the beginning, and her laugh had gotten more intense that she fell on her knees laughing in the tall grass and slowly on her back. She laughed so hard that all of a sudden bubbles started to blow out of her nose. That only escalated the laugh more and her parents and brother couldn't help but join in. It was a wonderful experience for them all.
