Quinn looked on sighing the vial still gripped in his hand. He was so tired, he no longer cared for the further drama unfolding in the room. Quietly and without any sort of fight he went back to his combined bed. Taking a seat right next to @Rosie Parker, his eyes drifted over to @Santario Martin before finally drifting back to the vial in question. If the vial in his hand would help with how he was currently feeling then it could be something deadly for all he cared. He just wanted to sleep and forget that the night ever happened. Which is why he paid utterly no attention to the crap show that was Erin happening not very far from him.

That is until he noticed something strange about the nurse's voice. Well it was less their voice and more or less tone of their voice. He couldn't quite describe it, and damn his natural senses of observation. There was something curious about the tone, cadence, or whatever the hell was wrong with the way they were talking. It didn't sit right with him to the point that something deep inside of him was telling him to stay alert. It would not allow him to give in to his current sorrow and so finally Quinn's miserable gaze shifted to the nurse. Scanning him up and down thoroughly. It was obvious he was staring but fortunately if one didn't look to hard at him it would look like Quinn was simply spacing out. The Half-Giant was now observing the situation properly.

He glanced down back at his vial and uncorked drinking down the contents. IF something bad were to happen it was gonna happen. Better to speed things up and see where it goes. He finished drinking his potion, and set it to the side refixing his gaze to the nurse. "Dank you and dis shooehld 'elp wit de pain in me jaw. Does dat mean it was brahken? If it was brahken 'ow cooehld i stell talk ahr was it naht a bad break?" His accent was thick as molasses. They were honest questions, but also he wanted to try and find out his attentions. The best way to do that was to observe his body language, the way he spoke, and how he acted. That's what Brannigan told him and years of practice made that task doable for him.

After having dodged the dancing girl (who happened to be the girl that punched her, great), Leah followed the nurse's instructions. A small silvery container... one with a green substance...

She ignored the arguing and tension behind her, choosing instead to find this Star Salve or whatever it was. The nurse would tell her of she'd found the right one, and she was pretty sure she could trust the school staff.

Ah! There it was! A small container with a wide brim. She looked inside and saw exactly what the nurse had meant; the salve was not liquid but not quite anything else. She supposed it was like some kind of body cream.

After this, she turned around briefly to see the dancing/punching girl @Erin Ryan still hopping about, and someone else pointing a wand at the nurse. What?

She'd find out why there were students threatening staff in a second, but first she had to get that other medicine for her best friend.

Straying to the door, she found the third shelf and picked up a few bottles that looked like likely candidates. Her task finished, she prepared to check out with the nurse and see if everything was ok when he suddenly told her to get behind him and started to put on some kind of glasses.

It looked mildly aggressive, but in a way she couldn't place. And there was no way she wanted to be on the receiving end of his anger when he was clearly trying to defend her, so she followed his instruction and slipped into the space behind him, quickly shutting her eyes and gripping the containers in her hands tightly.

OC: Was waiting on Jack. Just gonna get this over with so the thread can end.

IC:

A spell does not last forever, including the dancing feet spell. She had not brought her wand with her, the girls fists enough to fell her opponents. Or so the arrogant girl thought. Rather than end the indignity she hopped about like a hyperactive child given a bouquet of pixie sticks and being left to run rampant. Time mends all wounds and magic wanes, but energy was also finite. Her legs ached and she was breathing heavy, a fine mist of sweat left the part-Veela with a moist sheen.

She could stay and fight. She wanted to. Every single one of them, even the Slytherin likely deserved it. Allies of the part giant. Stealers of faces. Stealers of boyfriends that might have been hers.

Let the murse tend to their 'injuries.' Let Leah reconvene with the boy that looked eerily like her boyfriend. Rest. Recoup. Revenge. The three R's. She would find each and every one of them again, isolate them and destroy them.

 Just not today.

Probably not tomorrow or the next day.

She had to outlive them. She had to overwhelm them before they overwhelmed her. They were everywhere. A swarm and she was surrounded, living in the heart of their nest. "I am fine Jack Warren" Erin replied between breaths as she tried to keep her composure.  She cradled her broken, twisted hand in her other. Just a few broken bones, they will heal like the rest. She was going to find him. She was going to hurt him. Just not today.

Jack, Kyle and San?

She should have waited the nurse was of course very correct. Santario thought getting hit and slammed to the ground while wrestling a training bludger was bad? No. She thought Kyle shoving her to the ground as hard as he could and scaping her knee and palms up were bad? No. She thought tackling Kyle to the ground and breaking her arm was bad? Again no. Nothing compared to the pain once it started and it forced her to take in a breath of air sharply. Adrenaline immediately coursed through her veins as her right hand clutched the sheets beneath her as if they could somehow make it stop. It was as if each individual broken end of her bones had become white-hot searing pain radiating out from the breaking point. Molten lava making its way, slowly, down to her hand and up to her shoulder.

Fresh tears poured down the sides of her face freely as her body became stiff as a board beside her now labored breathing. If she had to ever describe the worst physical pain that she has ever had in her life up to today, this would be it. She wanted to scream and despite the air sucked into her lungs it was as if the pain had stolen it away… For now. It would only be a matter of minutes before an ear-piercing scream would manage to escape her lips if nothing could be done for her before then.

Oc: I am sorry I killed the thread. I am a bad person. I didn't mean to kill the thread
A look of sheer surprise cut across Jack's face once Erin had stopped dancing. A mental facepalm smashed through his mind. Of course, the spell wouldn't last. What absolute bloody idiot. What was he thinking? He had probably just signed his death warrant, and Erin's signature was at the bottom. This was bad...very bad. If Jack was smart, he would be afraid. Sadly, fear was a commodity that he did not have with any grasp of certainty. He popped up on his toes and glanced towards the exit. Maybe it should be for the best if he had just made his exit. Jack only seemed to add fuel to fire at the moment, and that realization was starting to dawn on him.

Maybe I should just let her leave. Enough of trying to be a hero. Hesitation played across his demeanor as he glanced towards the exit of the room that held this communal crap show. It would be best if he found his way away from any of this mess. When in doubt, make like a tree and leave.

"Okay. You're fine." There was little conviction in his voice, however, the sarcasm that twisted around his words was stronger than any firewhiskey. With that final statement, Jack Warren awkwardly tried to exit the hospital wing.

"Dank you and dis shooehld 'elp wit de pain in me jaw. Does dat mean it was brahken? If it was brahken 'ow cooehld i stell talk ahr was it naht a bad break?"

Honestly, he was already talking like he had a busted up jaw. Finley had no idea what he was saying, he was looking at the massive youth with a blank stare. He was not looking at Miss Martin. Could he have stopped her. Probably. He should have tried. He would have tried.

There was nothing the nurse could do but react when Santario, the defiant little girl that came looking for help and healing only to become paranoid, aggressive and suspicious. Then in the blink of an eye compliant. There was a finite supply of potions, especially here in this Hospital Wing. Only so much healing tonics, skelegrow, calming draughts, sleeping potions and analgesics to go around. It was a waste to consume one, but there were wands being leveled against him and rash children with incredible power was a recipe for disaster.

She would take what was intended to be the second potion, after analgesia and a sense of drowsiness set, straight and neat. The pain would be near immediate. He would not even have a chance to find another potion before she started to scream. He fumbled in the cabinet, the shrill noise that erupted from her. "SomethingtoknockheroutSomethingtonockherout!" The bottles clattered and fell as he rummaged through the cabinet. A bottle of yellow fluid fell out and cracked on the floor, filling the room with a sulfur-like scent. "Danggit," he cringed as she took a breath and let out another scream. He looked frazzled, he hated that noise.

With a shaking hand he would draw a wand made of Holly and point it at the girl. A flick and a swish a flash of soft life he said the incantation "Somnambulist." A spell for sleep, often used on only the most deranged. In her case, the one with the least control. Anything was better than that sound

If...

When...

That spell takes hold, Finley would be a few shades paler and misted in sweat. "God damn it," he would mutter as he brought his free hand to his head.

The pain was a lightning strike after lightning strike, and she prayed that it would eventually kill her nerve endings. Someone was screaming… Make it stop. Make the pain stop, make the screaming stop, make it all stop… She had no idea that she was the one screaming, nor did she think the pain would ever end. It felt like she laid there for eternity. I deserve this… Leveling a wand at the nurse under a contagious paranoia did not warrant the kind of pain she was in right now, but she certainly took it as karmic retribution for what she did.

Darkness… Sweet, beautiful darkness wrapped its loving arms around her. No pain, no noise, nothing, and no one. It wouldn’t last, though, as her subconscious was filled with fitful sleep. On the outside, there wouldn’t be much movement. It would be noticeable by facial twitches and an occasional body twitch, but inside was where the real turmoil came from. The little 11-year old had been so stressed that she lived through all of her worst fears as she slept. The stress and the thoughts that she had been fighting back since she came to Hogwarts no longer had themselves blocked out and pushed down. Instead, they were now left to run wild. She watched Jake get beat up, she watched her parents die, She watched her friends die, and she watched someone turn their rage against her. Although her sleep would be sustained more than likely easily throughout the night, her night would still not be easy.

He had been a nurse for a long time, this incident would not be the first nor would it be the last time a defiant child nearly killed him and then nearly themselves. There was an ache in the man, the sort he could feel in his own bones after he cast somnambulist the first spell that came to mind to achieve his ends. The potion he had consumed, it did not effect this sympathetic ache he felt. Santario would be taken by her overwhelming need to sleep, landing where she may, cockeyed in the bed like a college student that found their way almost to bed at four in the morning. Wordlessly he would pull her the rest of the way into the bed, either the girl was a bit heavy or the man was not particularly physically powerful. It was the later, in terms of brawn it was likely that Quinn could hold his own against the nurse. His power was in the wand he seemed hesitant to use.

A blanket and a sheet, she was bundled and warm on this cool fall night. All that remained was the three boys -- the aggressive lycantrope, the part giant with a busted up jaw (perhaps, he might always talk that way), a confused young boy in the midst of a domestic dispute with a pretty but angry little girl and some confused young girl who might still be behind him. If they needed something more, he would provide it (but this thread is pretty dead) and wait for Santario to wake. He did not need to check anything else over, he just could not leave a young woman in a magically induced slumber alone in this Scottish castle. There was thoughtless and then there was dangerously foolish.

Finishing this thread up for you guys.

It was a rough night and when Santario finally awoke she was drowsy. Not the normal drowsy that would accompany waking up from a sleep after drinking a bottle of cough syrup. No this was the type of exhaustion that could only accompany a night of tormented sleep. Her head was foggy and when she reached p to rub her eyes she was met with crusties that could only be left behind from crying in her sleep. She groaned as her head pounded and she tried to open her eyes but it was still just a bit too bright for her.

She could tell she wasn’t in her dorm but she couldn’t exactly remember where she was at the moment either. It took a moment as she was slowly able to open her eyes that they started to adjust to the lighting in the medical wing.  “Please tell me threatening him was apart of my nightmare…” She whispered to herself remembering the events of the night past. Please let her having threatened the nurse have been just apart of her really bad dreams. It would be now that her tired sapphire eyes looked around for the nurse in question she needed to apologize to him for her actions. She knew she didn’t deserve his forgiveness but now that she had a clear mind she at least should give him the apology that she owed him.
