Unlikely Friends Finished

Eris smiled uncertainly back at Kaegen, staring into the contents of his robes. She was a bit puzzled over why he was suddenly talking about candy, but oh well. She hoped he didn't have a concussion. She had read about muggle futbol players getting concessions and being damaged for life. But then again, muggles didn't have a hospital wing with magical nurses. "No running it is." Eris smiled, as she watched Kaegen crawl up the stairs on his hands and knees. She frowned, seeing the other children look at him like he was crazy. Her face heated up, as she tried to figure out ways to defend her friend. It wasn't fair that people were looking at him like that. Kaegen didn't deserve that.

Without thinking it through, Eris dropped down to fingers and tiptoes and climbed the stairs the same way Kaegen was. She didn't say anything as she did it, just glared at anyone who dared to look at Kaegen funny. It really was a workout crawling up the stairs, but Eris didn't complain once, nor did she say a word to Kaegen. She was too busy trying to not fall over, as her small legs slipped on various stairs.

Eri had ran straight the library. She got there first. As she slid to a halt she accidently slid into the wall hitting her head on the corner of the wall. She stood still gasping from the pain then laughed. Of course her of all people would get hurt in a castle full of stone. She touched her finger to the wound and looked at her finger. It was wet with blood. She sealed the wound and wiped the blood off her head and wiped her hands on her robes. She knew there was a big line and giant bruis abover her left green eye. Maybe they wouldn't notice the blood on her gands or the giant cut above her left eye tinted with the blue and black of a bruise.

She was sitting in the library with a stack of books in hand waiting for her friends to arrive in the library. She hoped nothing bad befell on them. Maybe they got lost? Did they even know how to get to the library? She shook the thought away and waited for them to arrive in the library. She probably tell them she was joking when she said last one their had to buy candy.
