12

Mexican

Human

Muggle-born
Appearance:

Gregorí has short jet-black hair and dark brown eyes. He is rather short (although not very short) and is usually the smallest boy in class, whether as an Ilvermony student or when he was enrolled in his Muggle primary school. Born to a Caucasian father and a Latinx mother, Gregorí resembles his mother more, but his skin is somewhat paler than most Mexicans due to his father's genes. He also usually looks very serious and stern, thus in some ways potentially "scare away" people who are interested in making a small talk with him. However, it is just his physical appearance and has nothing to do with his kind heart.
Personality:
Gregorí is extremely intelligent, logical, studious, and hard-working to the point that he studies on Saturday mornings and still consider himself "lazy". He also likes reading, and prefers encyclopedias to novels. An introvert, Gregorí longs to have more friends but is unsure how, particularly since he is not good at making small talks and tends to be brutally honest. This is especially true in group context, and the boy always performs better in one-on-one conversations. In turn, not having many friends harms the boy's self-esteem and he therefore tends to doubt himself. However, deep inside, Gregorí is very kind and loving. Once he trusts and loves someone - whether it's a family member, a friend, or an animal - he loyally tries very hard to keep that someone happy and safe.
History:
Gregorí Erkens was born in a small Mexican village. His paternal grandparents moved from the Netherlands to Mexico even before his father was born (his father was also born in Mexico); whereas his maternal grandmother is a Brazilian who moved to Mexico in her teens and his maternal grandfather is a native Mexican, thus making Gregorí's mother a Brazilian-Mexican.
Gregorí has three elder sisters (the eldest being seven years his senior) and a younger brother (who is only a year below him), and thus never really has a chance to "stand out" despite his intelligence. Because of this, and combined with his introversion which makes him difficult to make friends, Gregorí has quite a low self-esteem. However, he loves all of his siblings, as well as his parents.
Gregorí's parents are both Muggles, and so are his sisters and brother. As a result, when his Ilvermony acceptance letter came, he first thought it as a joke. However, things started to change when the Mexican accidentally broke several glasses in a family reunion with his unintentional magic, which also led to him recognising the patterns of what happened at times when he was scared or angry.
Initially, Gregorí was reluctant to leave his Muggle school, his family, and his country to study in Ilvermony. During his first months, too, he got into arguments with fellow students who debated with him whether or not Mexico was a North American country, and he kept missing science classes.
Nowadays, Gregorí could usually be found checking out Muggle science books from the Ilvermony library, experimenting with potions to fulfill his ambition in finding cures for Muggle illness (even though he did realise it might take years), or fascinating himself with learning about magical beasts.
OOC note: This post was edited twice; first when the image uploading was failed because I used Google Drive, and second when I realised that I had used the phrase "unintentionally surpressed magic" which might sound like the situation of an Obscurus. Both problems are now fixed.

Healing Sage (490 words)
Gregorí was a Muggle science enthusiast, this was no secret particularly to those who were close to him. Among all of the science branches, however, he liked biology best. Even though his ambition was to be a Muggle scientist and not a healer or a Muggle doctor, he realised that he had a natural knack in the art of healing.
The boy sighed as he remembered his dream. A scientist or an astronomer... how wonderful it would be if he only could be one. But what could he do? As a child from a family of seven with low income, it would be impossible for his family to send him to a Muggle university to study what really interested him. Scholarship was an option, but then again, usually it covered only the university's tuition fee and not the living cost...
And even if I do study biology or astronomy, Gregorí told himself, where do I suppose I will go after the university? Becoming a teacher was out of question since he was terrible at communication. To really pursue a career as a scientist, that means he would have to venture to the States; as far from his hometown as it seemed, that would be the nearest option. The choice to live as a Muggle scientist was scarce in Mexico.
And now, here he was: in Ilvermony School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in the wizarding world. If he wanted to pursue a career which still had something to do with science, he might have to try to be a healer - that is, as long as it would not take so much time as the study to be a Muggle doctor. Doctors, he knew, took at least six years to learn when they were university students. And he did not want something like that; he wanted to help support his family economically as soon as possible, even though he also loved learning.
Gregorí stood up. Yes, a healer might have to do.
So from that time, he studied hard on healing potions and healing spells. Learning about healing potions and how to brew them was easier, as they were taught in class. Healing spells, however, was more difficult to access. They were not in his syllabus yet, and now that summer was approaching, it would not be an option to check out a library book of healing spells and practice them at home, in the Muggle world.
After racking his brain for some time, Gregorí had an idea. Maybe he could learn them next academic year at school; and for now, he could try improving his medical knowledge and ability in the Muggle way. Who guaranteed that it would not be useful for a healer? After all, magic did not solve everything, and Muggles also have strengths wizards should learn from.
And that was what the boy did. He spent his summer break studying Muggle's first aid techniques and their medicine.

Terrible Presence (407 words)
Gregorí did not want it. Well in fact he did not even realise it; but - people tend to be afraid of him. One look at the Mexican boy's face and most of them preferred to stay away, out of trouble.
They did not even get the feeling that they were wrong.
Gregorí Erkens was one of the kindest souls to ever walk on earth, but his appearance did not say so - even betrayed it, if you must say - and thus, a lot of people did not believe that anyone who could win him as a true friend would be very, very lucky. Such a shame, and everything was due to the misleading prejudice humans very often had upon others because of physical appearance.
The boy had a tendency to appear very serious, and of course he himself did not know this because no one could see his or her own face except when it was reflected on a mirror. However, for some, instead of looking serious, Gregorí looked like that he was in a bad mood.
"I wonder why he always feels so angry all the time," a classmate once complained about him; but because she did it behind his back, there was no way our Mexican boy knew about this. Like most normal people, he did not feel angry all the time, but his facial expression was interpreted as such by some.
"It's not that we don't want to talk to Gregorí," one of his Muggle classmates (from his Muggle primary school, naturally) tried to explain to the teacher why the other kids did not invite Gregorí to play with them. "We're scared of him. We do want to play with him, but then we always decide not to when we look at his face. He's... well, scary!"
And so it went on and on, and on, and on. Gregorí Erkens was intimidating. Gregorí Erkens was a boy who was perpetually in a bad mood.
His shyness did not help making a good impression. The Latino wanted to make friends, but he had no idea what to talk to others. He was not good at small talks, and his communication style preference was straightforward, "let's get down to business right from the start". He did not read between the lines; he was brutally honest without even meaning to be rude.
Ah, life! If only they could see how lonely and kind he was!

Name: Avery Beth Greymoore
Age: 11
Year: First Year in House Thunderbird
Race: Human
Blood-Status: Pure-Blood
Current home: Maine, USA

Imagine a tropical beach. The kind with small, puffy white clouds barely visible in the sky. One with light blue waves gushing white foam on the warm sand. Different shades of blue in the water that hugs the beach. From icy white and pale blue hues to strong, dark colours that represent the dangers deep down in the ocean. Imagine a stormy sea where wind and water fight each other to get the upper hand. Imagine all these colours and feelings together. That’s what Avery Beth Greymoore’s irises look like. Her eyes could tell stories words would fall short for.
Avery’s hair was ,most of the time you saw her, tied in intricate braids or tight ponytails. She was raised to look flawless. At no point was she ever allowed to let down her hair, her parents told her so. Only to sleep, when no one could see her in a state that exposed and vulnerable. She hated it. Her go-to hairstyle contained to strands of her long, golden hair framing her face and the rest in a ponytail. Some occasions she would wear her straight and blonde hair in one complicated braid on the back of her head. This was usually when she had work to do. For example sport matches or horseback riding. Avery also had a passion for exploring. This exploring usually took place in hidden parts of the woods or some abandoned building she wasn’t supposed to enter. Greymoore’s appearance was considered beautiful in the Northern-American culture. Then again, her parents had a reputation to hold up so they would’ve done anything to avoid her not looking her best. She had a small, cute nose and blushed cheeks. A friendly and intriguing smile would glide on her face when she passed by you. On the other hand, when she relaxed her face muscles, her expression easily fell in what people these days call a “bitch-face”. She couldn’t help it, it’s just the way her face works. If anything would annoy her or she couldn’t reach her goals, it’s a face many would get to see. To distract people from being intimidated by her perhaps angry looking face, she loved wearing flowy, elegant summer dresses. A touch (or several) of glimmer never hurt anybody so she preferred stacking up her accessories. Earrings, several bracelets, necklaces and hair clips with crystals on them. Whatever made her feel joy when looking in the looking-glass. The description of Avery Beth Greymoore’s appearance would at first tell you she is the most girly girl you can find. Nothing is more true. Yes, she likes to dress up and look her best. “Don’t get filthy or lose control of your emotions”, was a phrase she heard occasionally. She was raised to be this way. But,… Avery was very good at keeping up appearances and making everyone around her believe she was this pretentious, egocentric person who felt better than all the others. In reality, she couldn’t feel better than anyone even if they were laying in the mud. Avery wasn’t afraid to get dirty to get things done. The girl could be described as loyal, motivated, caring and ambitious. If you hurt her friends, she would stop at nothing to get revenge. Even winning a game, she doesn’t mind bending the rules to teach someone a lesson.
Avery Beth isn’t a bad person. Au contraire, she is compassionate and loving. Unlike her kin. Her family has high standards and wouldn’t let anyone ‘lesser’ into their life. Avery wasn’t even allowed to have friends or have fun hobbies (other than the ones her parents found practical). They said friends were a distraction and if you can’t learn anything useful from a hobby then what is the point? Avery didn’t agree with that. Although she had a gift for causing trouble, she tried her best not to get on her parents bad side. That’s why she didn’t tell them about her adventures. These adventures would only happen when they weren’t home or when she snuck out of the house at night. She loved discovering secret places and writing about them in her book. Yes, she has a travelogue in which she wrote down where she found certain places and what she found interesting about them. Even the boring ones she would write about, simply because you never know when a hidden building in the middle of nowhere could be useful. Avery frequently liked to imagine finding something magical she wasn’t supposed to find and having to hide it away from crooks who would search for said item and wanted to hurt her for taking it. Her imagination went crazy like that sometimes. A daring, risky adventure where she was the lead character who had to save the world from people with bad intentions. Then she would gather a group of righteous and brave heroes to fight for the greater good.
Alas, that was unlikely to happen as she was just a boring school girl with rich parents. Well, not exactly rich but definitely not struggling either. She thought her family was just above average class. Her mum and dad’s big egos were aspects she was never going to understand. They were just like everyone else so why act like they were above them? She didn’t hate them for it though, what she hated were the fancy parties and late-night dinners they had to host or go to. It was all so overblown and pompous.
Avery had a sense of proud about herself. Being high-born had nothing to do with it. She was proud of herself because she worked hard to achieve her goals. Avery Beth was an ambitious young lady with the heart in the right place. Her not being allowed to invite friends over or throw birthday parties didn’t stop her from making friends. Friends were very important to her, she was close to the few she had. They were real friends. She was extremely popular in school so she knew a lot of people and they knew her but she wouldn’t all consider them friends. More like acquaintances. Avery was a good student overall. Of course, every student has their weaknesses. Hers was getting distracted by fantasy. Instead of paying attention in class, her head would be elsewhere. Most likely in of the secret places she recently discovered. This would hurt her grades a significant amount. Using her wits she found ways to manage getting out from any detentions or failed assignments. Avery frequently found some leverage to receive a chance to redo her failed tasks. It’s not her fault magic was so fascinating. Ever since she was little she was eager to go to school and learn magic. You can imagine her enthusiasm when she learned she would go to Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. Avery being who she was and not being able to contain her excitement during her childhood. Which as mentioned before, got her into plenty trouble.
Another trait her parents were not fond of. Even though the girl tried not to get on her parents’ nerves, she managed to do so anyhow on a daily basis. Ever since the passing of her brother they were too focused on her, making sure she would be careful. The witch-to-be hadn’t told her friends about her brother. She didn’t want to be pitied by them or be treated differently. Avery held all her emotions in an one day they would come bursting out. It was inevitable. All she could do was hope she would be able to control herself when they did. She would do it for him. Her late little brother…. All she could think was he died way to young. No person should have to go so soon. Oh, how she missed him. She loved that boy so dearly. When he was born, she was so keen to be able to come home from school when she was older and tell him about all the magical events at school.. It was something she wouldn’t be able to do. In honour of him, she wanted to become the best witch in the land and make him proud. For him, she wanted to discover something, or invent something… Anything to make him proud. And get her parents to stop smothering her. The young boy had gone missing around Avery’s ninth birthday. They had searched far and wide, using every manner they could think of but the boy’s body was found three weeks later. He was found in a lake a few towns down the stream. No one could figure out how he got there or even how he could’ve gone out of the house by himself, he had not learned to swim yet as he was still a toddler. Her brother’s death had caused a change in Avery’s point of view on life. It was an event that changed her life forever. The accident even caused her to act more reckless and wild because she was angry that no one had seen the little boy strolling around by himself. No one had helped him when he assumedly fell into the water. From that point in her life, Avery seemed to be angry in general. She definitely could not stand anyone who refused to help others in need. It could only take one person, one letter, one call to save someone’s life.
In fact, it was anger that caused her first outing of magic. The day the police came by the house and told Avery’s family they had found her brother’s body. She had been so shocked and so full of anger and disbelief that no one had done more to find him. When Avery heard the news she ran into the kitchen. She had no control over her emotions and felt the urge to break something. She really wanted to throw or slam or kick something to pieces. So the girl opened a kitchen cabinet and grabbed one of the ceramic plates inside. Her parents could hear the loud crashing and splintering of plates from the front door, in a hurry they said goodbye to the officers and followed the sounds into the kitchen. They witnessed Avery throwing mugs and plates on the floor in a fit of rage when suddenly all kitchen cabinets slammed open by themselves and other kitchenware started flying out onto the ground. It was quite the spectacle for both Avery and her parents. The young witch had quite a lot of cleaning up to do afterwards. Since that day she had been learning to control her emotions and she managed quite well keep calm in innerving situations.

Ilvermorny NPC
Appearance:Name: Caroline Carla Belindez
Age: 12
School Year: First Year
House: Horned Serpent
Race: Human
Blood Status: Wizard-born
Personality:Caroline has frizzy dark brown hair all around her head. She also has serious caramel eyes and beautiful brown skin.Caroline's go-to outfit is a warm sweater, black knee-high skirt, and some of her favorite muggle Converse sneakers.
Faceclaim : Amanda Stenburg
History:During her time at Ilvermorny, Caroline focuses on her studies more than anything. This makes perfect sense as she was sorted in the Horned Serpent house which favors scholars.Outside of her studies however, she enjoys writing to all of her family in California.Sometimes Caroline can be quite selfish when it comes to reaching her goals but she can also be one of the most loyal friends you'll ever have if she trusts you enough.
since I saw that clarity was needed I went back here to edit and make sure the situation made more sense.Being wizard-born Caroline grew up only knowing of the magical world,so once she got her Ilvermorny letter her parents had been absolutely thrilled.Caroline's parents and many cousins reside in California.Outside of California however,Caroline has more cousins attending Hogwarts that she has never met due to the fact her cousins is are all considered 'blood-traitors' to her mother's family.Ever since they were abandoned by the family, her 'outlawed' cousins have mingled with muggles in faraway Scotland to most likely escape the wrath of the family's elders. The only reason why her mother wasn't considered a blood-traitor when marrying a muggle-born, is because she allowed Caroline's grandmother to control most of her child's life from that day forward. When she was five Caroline had her first act of magic. It all happened when her mother was having a weekly chat with Caroline's Grandmother. That day Caroline had made a simple drawing of her father's broomstick, but mind you she was very proud of it.Her mother had left to the kitchen and her grandmother had just caught eye of Carol's drawing when she immediately took it out o her hand.As her grandmother realized the drawing was of her father's broom, she took to a disgusted face."How could your mother let you see that man?".To little Caroline's horror, her grandmother began to rip the drawing to shreds, not leaving any room for mercy.Just as the last shred hit the floor, Caroline's emotions willed the shreds to float up pack into the air and reassemble just as her mother arrived from the kitchen.Just as happy as she was surprised,Caroline's mother ran over to her daughter to have a heartfelt hug, just knowing that her daughter would an amazing witch someday was enough for her mother. When it come's to Caroline's linage, the Belindez family of her mother's side is an old and respected Pureblood family, that can be traced all the way to South America. This is most likely where her ancestors resided before migrating to the U.S. in the nineteen-hundreds.As for her father's side of the family, the Carson family.Which originated and currently resides in Louisiana. The family arrived in the south as slaves in the 1800's,though as time went on the family became quite respected in their small town town as great bakers of sweets.Even though the Carson family is much older, they are muggles, which is why the Belindez family puts themselves at such high standards as purebloods.

2.) Is your character a Quidditch Player? no
3.) Is your character a Duelist? no
Abilities:
Perfectionist
ReducioWhatever person first said, 'Just try your best' to a child, probably wasn't in the Belindez family.
Being a pureblood child in the Belindez family was more then just frolicking around a playground, making friends with whomever you pleased, and thinking that your 'best' is enough for anything you try.
Being a pureblood Belindez child meant doing whatever the family elder knew was best. It was appeasing the family's honor among other purebloods, and not just doing something with ninety nine percent of your effort.
Though Caroline's case was quite different.
Her mother, Mariana did exactly the opposite of obeying the family elder's rules. Instead of marrying the rich pureblood man they had arranged she would run off to the south and meet Caroline's father, a muggleborn wizard, James Carson. By the time Mariana's family got to her she was already pregnant with a child, soon to be called Caroline.
Caroline's own grandmother knew the baby would have to be raised correctly in order to become a proper heir of the Belindez legacy. What a terribly clever woman she was, in only the course of a few weeks Carline fear-mongered her own daughter enough to leave James without another word and in turn secured control over Caroline's life as future heir.
Many years later, when Caroline began to understand exactly how important perfection was, a single moment can come to mind, the moment when she truly understood that perfection wasn't an option in her grandmother's eyes.
It was a simple necessity.
Little Caroline was only five when she made this terrible realization,
being taken care of at a small day-care facility for a few magical children, and just like any other daycare there were the trouble maker children that every other child and caretaker just didn't like at all.
Are you really assuming that Carol was one of those children?
How bold of you.
In the eyes of any adult and responsible human-or even partially human-being she was the adorable yet amazingly talented child every other parent hoped for.
(I really do hope you know where this is going-)
A true teacher's pet is how most would identify her at this age, and honestly they were't exactly wrong.
At that specific date, the group of trouble maker children had made the terrible mistake of stealing a caretaker's wand for their own kind of game.
Those children, knowing exactly what they had done was 'bad' ran outside the day care facility and into the sidewalk right outside.
Carol had scene the rascals take the wand and made the terrible decision to follow them outside in hopes of winning back the care taker's wand.and gratitude
The girl was about to heroically shout;
"Get back here!"
When one of children fell back from the blast of an outgoing spell.
Caroline didnt have time to scream for help when the blast of an uncontrolled spell knocked her to the ground and in a state of pain.
An uncle of Carol's was in town that day, how lucky of her to be escorted home with a free lecture of how stupid her decision was.
However, the worst punishment was when Caroline had arrived home to see her grandmother's lethal stare, and suddenly feeling all the guilt she had ever felt before.
The day was a whole fiasco, obliviating nearby no-mag and making sure that no one would be sued or arrested.
"You will never do something like that again."
Ammi said without a singe of hesitation.
"Of course Ammi.."
[/quote]6.) Backstory changes:
ReducioAs stated in her original backstory here, the blood traitors of the Belindez family fled to Scotland to escape many of the horrors family elders would deem fair punishment, there, Lucille's mother and uncle lived in peace and happiness not knowing their own distant relatives still had a grudge against something that happened years ago. The knowledge of any relations between Lucille's family and Carol's is hidden away with the Belindez family elders and Lucille's missing grandparents. The two girls have never once met each other, though soon that may change with the upcoming Ilvermorny visit to Hogwarts.
to be clear: the rest of Carol's original backstory is still canon, however, I wanted to change the fact the blood traitors fled to Europe were in fact related to Lucille.

Ilvermorny NPC
Name: Hadrian Zuheir
Age: 14 | Fourteen
School Year: 3th Year
House: Wampus
Race: Human Wizard
Blood Status: Pure-blood
Appearance: Like a stereotypical pureblood, Hadrian is a well-groomed young man with a head of dark hair that is distinctive kempt and slicked up away from his face and is dressed in smart yet modern outfits on a daily basis. He has a pair of dark hazel eyes, defined eyebrows and an angled nose inherited from the middle eastern heritage that is diluted in his blood. At the age of 14, he currently stands at tall at 5’7.
Personality: Hadrian, although he portrays himself as a respectable young man who seems very pleasant and courteous, it is all but a facade. He loathes of arrogance, insincerity and deceitfulness and an ego too large. All that influences the conceited pureblood’s actions is his reputation and popularity. As such, during interactions, he comes off as amicable and perhaps charming to most, be it towards, professors or pitiful muggle-borns. It pleases Hadrian to have control over his wants and it simply agitates him if things do not go in order --- his order. Where in reality, he could not care less about the well-being of others who are not considered his family. Unfortunately, because Hadrian has a little sister himself, he has a weak spot for children and can sometimes be protective over them. However, this agitation only makes the boy more ambitious to achieve his wants and drive him to go far and wide. His morals are extremely victorian-like and he cares about self-preservation, family and the future. However, he can be hot-headed at times and cannot take the slightest of insults and does not understand ‘muggle jokes’.
History: Hadrian is ¼ middle-eastern and ¾ american. The Zuheirs are a pureblood family of Arabian (Palestinian) descent but have since migrated to America during the Arab-Israeli muggle war in the mid 19th century. In fact, Hadrian has never been to the arabian peninsula through his 14 years. The Zuheirs retain their wealth predominantly by securing ties with other families through marriages, claiming the inheritances from past generations and establishing lucrative connections.
Hadrian was the firstborn child to two pureblood parents followed by a younger brother and subsequently a beloved sister, 3 and 5 years apart respectively. He lived a pampered stereotypical pureblood childhood and when he turned the ripe age of 11, he was enrolled into Ilvermorny to hone the magic running through his veins. Like any other wizard, Hadrian harnessed his magic and in additional sought to make himself known throughout the school. The attention he was receiving amongst his proud parents and during pureblood balls and events was simply was not enough. This lead him to become one of those typical high school jocks in that typical tv series-esque american highschool. But over the years, that did not seem enough to satiate his thirst for popularity any longer. This was partially the reason why he had not hesitated to seize the chance when given the invitation on an exchange program to Hogwarts. partially
*cringe* During a pureblood annual ball in mid-june 2020 held at the Neptune Manor (yes, astrea’s house. This plot will be threaded in the near future), Hadrian quite literally met the love of his life. A girl whom he shared a dance with, they had been exchanging owls since the start of summer. A long-distance relationship was hard to keep up with, especially one their own aristocratic parents set them up with. Initially, neither one were keen on kindling this relationship as meant losing their freedom to love whoever. Contrary to the letters, despite their difference, both shared the acknowledgement of their duties as a pureblood and their parent’s child and their relationship began to grow from there. The more they got to know about the other the more this reluctance faded. Although a continent’s distance meant a long wait for each owl, every letter that Hadrian opened was a pleasant read, inked words full of personality and genuineness. They eventually met in person during the ball. For Hadrian, it was love at first sight and he had no doubt that she felt the same as they danced across the expanse of the ballroom. She had a blazing fire in her cold pretty eyes and a strong spirited soul, she was a person to reckon with yet one he believed he could tame. After the ball, the exchange of letters continued and the months past, Hadrian was on his way to his betrothed’s school. 6 more years there was before they were set to live their lives together and that was more than enough time for them to build their relationship.

Yes, Hadrian is betrothed to Aurelia cuz... character development and plays a huge part in her storyline. Currently, their relationship resembles that of very good friends or boy-girlfriends. I hope this app can get through as it’ll be super interesting to rp. Sorry about the lateness… im on hiatus and this was done with haste

Hadrian Zuheir's Abilities:’s Grace | Fearless | Charmer
’s grace
Reducio
Hadrian lived an extremely privileged childhood in the Zuheir Manor. Without so much as a request, the boy was provided with everything he wanted, needed and required. As the oldest child and her father’s successor, Hadrian was free to do anything he pleased. That was until he enrolled into school. To be frank, Hadrian never liked a majority of his first year in school. His former lifestyle was suddenly stripped away. It did not matter if he held his father’s last name, he had little to no authority in the halls of Ilvermorny, at least not in the beginning.
At school were rules limiting the boy from achieving things in what he saw was necessary, teaching the pudwedgie kid who called him out for a foul move during the quidditch game for example. Throughout the year, Hadrian caused but had never got into trouble. He had learnt how to manoeuvre around the hallways swiftly, crouching low under the concealment of shadows lingering in the corner as those with authority neared, slinking silently near the walls to avoid the weary patrolling prefects after curfew.
Hadrian further honed his skill when he was given the role as a prefect in his second year. Boy, did he enjoy the authority that came with it. Simply, catch the shenanigans and make them do your dirty work. Hadrian delivered countless detentions. With such grace, the student never saw him coming and never got the chance to conceal whatever they were doing in the first place.
Even after the school year ended, Hadrian stepped down as a prefect, despite the authority it gave him he had already established his presence in the school. He still continued utilising this skill, this time for a cause more significant. Despite Hadrian’s father currently the head of the Zuhier household and wealth, to his own direct family, had an older cousin and was entitled to inherit the Zuheir wealth. It was simply how the Zuheir tradition was, there was nothing much Hadrian or his parents could do. But ambitious he was to shove his own cousin out of this line and reign as the Zuheir successor. On one summer, his aunt and aunties came to stay in his family’s manor. Determine the young Zuheir was to find a flaw in Sharic, he began slinking into the young man’s shadows and watching him wherever and whenever he could. He moved with such grace, silence and skill.
His efforts were not futile. Very soon he found a flaw. Sharic had been using the floo to travel to England very frequently that it seemed suspicious to the young boy. Unbeknownst to Sharic, he had been followed by his younger cousin. Hadrian soon discovered that Sharic had been seeing someone. A secret sweetheart, one of impure blood. Not only that, Sharic had a betrothed. Hadrian did not hesitate to rat his findings to the rest of his family who were outraged by the news. It was not long before Sharic was disowned, his last name striped from him and Hadrian then became the Heir to the Zuhier wealth.
Fearless
ReducioHadrian was never always fearless. As a young boy, he had been afraid of many things, even the dark and the shadows scared him to his parent’s chagrin. His parents, the Zuheirs wanted him to be a perfect child so that he might succeed them in the future. He had to possess strong traits to command those around him. Fear, it was a trait that weakened the young Zuheir. With that amount of fear, he was not cut out for the role. Despite only being a boy, his father was determined to make a man out of him. Whatever it took, even if his childhood was stripped away from him.
To say the least, his father was not a very patient man, at least not in the eyes of the young Zuheir. Present, his father certainly succeeded but if there was one thing Hadrian now feared, it was his father. The intimidation the man possesses is powerful and Hadrian wishes to follow his footsteps in order to possibly become a man as significant as his own father one day.
His father went to great deals to remove the stubborn fear in the child. For such a feat, his father allocated a room, where Hadrian were to face his fears every week. The room waas down in the cold basements of the Zuheir manor. The boy dreaded being in the room, it brought nothing but bad terrible memories. “It is for the best,” he always told Hadrian. At five years of age, Hadrian was locked in the room and only allowed out once he stopped weeping and acknowledged that darkness could never hurt him. Once, he was only allowed out when he had slaughted an acromantula half his size with a dagger. At first, the boy had been afraid to go near the eight legged creature but soon, after avoiding the large spider for hours, he had gotten both tired and hungry. And so his own survival instincts kicked in and he slayed the creature and he was hten allowed out.
For two years, the room had been used to shape Hadrian and make him stronger. The times he visited the room got lesser as Hadrian became less fearful. Soon, Hadrian nothing could spook the teen. At 10 years old, he was as close to a fearless person as he could be.
I am not able top give you the role of Prefect as that gives you authority over other students in character from this portion of the setting. I would need to seek further approvals regarding this. Update: No longer Prefect.
I contacted the Lore Team regarding the Floo Network. I am uncertain if the Floo Network between the states and the UK is a thing. They might be separate. Update: There would be floo between the states and the UK but it would not be something in a private home, it would be akin to an airport for wizards basically found in magical communities. So you would have one that brought people to Diagon Alley for instance.

Why does it fit my character?
Theo had no idea of magic before he was told of it and it had opened up a new world to him. He does not longer waste time on muggle abilities, which he can easily replace with magic, but he had to for eleven years.
The young boy grew up in the muggle world, visited a muggle kindergarden and a muggle pirmary school. Whe he had still visited school, his only target had been to get to the best possible secondary school. And then magic got inbetween. But since he had never expected it, he acquired the skills that one just learns when one is young and spends a lot time with other boys. Not to mention simply loves to provoke others. And just can't resist to put a toe across the boarder, as soon as the consequences become acceptable.
Theo knows how to throw punches. He knows how to physically fight. He even learned how to do it secretly, after it got him and his parents in front of the principal a few times.
Although he doesn't necessarily need those skills anymore, now that he learns many very interesting spells, he has noticed, that thisseems to be exactly what all those purebloods are thinking. They didn't think it would be necessary to acquire certain skills that might be more important in the muggle world. Theo simply loves to get them by surprise through easy muggle tricks.
Just before he went to Ilvermorny, he even took his time to learn simple muggle card trick to brag. It works perfectly and he is extremely proud of it.
Through simple muggle games, Theo has made himself a name at Ilvermorny, used his bloodline for his own advantage.
Sometimes he questions it. Sometimes he thinks that something might be wrong with him, as there are only very few muggle borns at Ilvermorny, secretly of course, Theodore Duncain has no insecurities.
But in the end he is a creative and optimistic boy. He can see opportunities in almost every bad situation. Theo knows a lot about muggle technology as well and he just likes to show off the aditional knowledge he has. Of course he made sure to inform himself about the magical world before he started to show his knowledge off, it would have been embarassing if someone could have shut him off with one seemingly simple question about the wizarding world. No, Theodore Duncain, the muggleborn would not stop trying until his circumstances helped him go up in the 'hierarchy' of students.

ReducioCyrus was the type of boy who was full of chaos; the type of boy who would answer the "if someone jumped off a cliff, would you?" as "absolutely". Cy would do anything to prove himself, and he began running around Manhattan at the young age of seven. His parents didn't care, and he feared nothing. The world didn't scare him, so he did as he pleased.
By the time his aunt and uncle became prominent figures in his life, Cyrus was used to doing things by himself. He made breakfast without fear of burning himself on the pan, although he needn't make lunch or dinner - his parents always ordered things for him. While the boy might have lived a moderately sheltered life - what child of businesspeople didn't? - he was lonely, and there was always a bundle of energy manifesting inside the child's heart, waiting to be set loose.
After ending school one day Cy came across a group of kids. They weren't usual schoolboys; he could see that from a single glance. Their beat-up leather jackets stood out in stark contrast to his school blazer, and the fact that some of them didn't wear shoes let Cyrus know he'd ventured into the "wrong area of town". They surrounded a much smaller boy, one that wasn't in Cyrus' year; no, he was quite a bit younger. This kid was maybe nine, if that.
Cy wasn't deterred; he wanted that child out of the situation. "Hey, idiots!" yelled the blond, only glancing down to make sure his duck-print shoelaces were tied. A brazen grin decorated his expression as he charged forward, imagining he was a knight in medieval times and that the other boy was a lass, or lad now that he thought about it, in distress. "Make way for the king!" he shouted, his words echoing around the alley.
Now, any other child would have noticed how stupid the plan was. With Cyrus, however, there really was no plan. He did things on impulse, having no fear of the consequences that might arise from his actions. Putting one foot in front of the other, he charged at the other kids, shoving one of them as hard as he could.
He wasn't quite strong enough to knock the kid over, but he got the group's attention away from the young'un and onto himself. "Get out of the way!" he whisper-yelled to the smaller boy, and he was pleased to see the other kid running out of the corner of his eye as he felt a blow land on his arm.
Cy hadn't been strong enough to fight off the kids, but it had been your average schoolboy fight - everyone got hurt, to some extent. When Cyrus returned home, a triumphant grin on his face, his aunt shot him a questioning glance as he flopped down on the couch, exhausted, and shouted "No Regrets!"
Because really, he had no regrets. The feel of adrenaline in his veins had been amazing, and he would do it again. Cy wasn't a wimp. In fact, one might call him fearless.
