The Bubble-Producing Charm, First Year
The second that Callie realised that this particular lesson involved bubbles her excitement to learn another spell skyrocketed. Callie was always excited to learn another spell regardless of it's nature but the involvement of bubbles made her anticipation reach new heights. Regardless of her excitement and the amount of time she had spent reading up on the new spell the set up of the room surprised Callie. The presence of the upper years within the room only further added to her own excitement. Whilst the professor spoke Callie drummed her fingers against her thigh in an attempt to settle her own nerves which unsurprisingly didn't amount to much good. When she realised that she'd have to attempt the spell in front of everyone Callie's excitement suddenly shifted to anxiety. The young girl was still nowhere near confident enough in her own capabilities. What if she messed up? What if she fell over?
For the time entire time she waited for her own turn Callie was a bundle of nerves, anxiously drumming her hand against her thigh to avoid the urge to bite her own nails. It couldn't be that hard right? Why on earth was she so nervous? She was fine up until the mention of trying things in front of everyone. Perhaps all the realisation that some people thought muggle-borns were somehow beneath everyone had gotten into her head after all. "Bullarum Immortalem." She mumbled under her breath as she edged further towards her own attempt at the spell. "Buh-la-rum-im-mora-talem. That's not right, what on earth am I saying. "Why did the incantation have to be such a tongue twister? Callie was beginning to grow convinced the incantations for these kinds of things were so complicated just to spite her.
Before Callie could practice any further her time to attempt the spell had finally arrived and she found herself a nervous wreck. Callie stared at the Ravenclaw boy for a few brief moments as she raised her wand, hand slightly shaking in the process. Callie took a deep intake of breath before she finally attempted the spell and silently prayed she wouldn't screw up horrifically in the process. "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem!" She announced after pointing her cherry wood wand at the older Ravenclaw boy.

Professor Edit: The girl at the front of the line in front of Mr. Vonnegut seemed very nervous, nervous enough that, for a moment, Zahid was concerned that she was about to drop her wand. Dee skipped into the classroom that day, light-footed and light-hearted. They were going to learn a spell today - and not just any spell, a fun spell! Making unburstable bubbles, as useless and frivolous as it was, somehow held an incredible fascination to her.
While she still questioned Hogwarts’ curriculum sometimes - learning how to make fire before learning how to extinguish fire, learning how to make unburstable bubbles before learning the general counter-spell - she certainly wasn’t going to protest the matter today.
The tables had been pushed to the side for today’s lesson, and there were a bunch of older students present, who had apparently volunteered to be repeatedly bombarded with bubbles.
Dealla whirled around to face Syl, who she’d walked to class with. “Excited?” she asked, her blue eyes sparkling and betraying how much she was looking forward to shooting bubbles at people herself.
Excited was probably a poor word for it. Anxious was more like it. Sylvain had plenty of experience attempting to cast spells with his wand, but the first-year’s spells seemed to backfire spectacularly more often than not. “Sure, I suppose I’m a little excited to learn.” He was a poor liar, so he reluctantly told the truth. “Also a bit anxious I suppose.”
“Unburstable bubbles sounds like fun at least.” Dealla’s enthusiasm was a bit hard to match. It took more than bubbles or a new spell to get him enthusiastic about casting. It took learning and patience. For now, Sylvain was wary that his wand might not participate in the activity in the way the boy willed it to. Syl did his best to focus on his own confidence, but the more the wistful pre-teen thought of his ability to cast spells, the less assured of himself he became.
“Oh.” Dealla cocked her head to one side, not quite sure how to react to Sylvain’s lack of excitement or confidence, then reached out to take his hand and drag him into line with her. “You’ll be fine,” she assured him, with utter confidence in her voice. “And even if you don’t manage it first try, we’re not being graded or tested on this, so it won’t matter, right? Also, even producing soap bubbles or something from your wand should be fun, they don’t have to be unbreakable.”
Honestly, the lack of grading was something Sylvain hadn’t taken into account yet. Combined with the confidence in their abilities that Dealla claimed, Sylvain was able to relax and rest assured knowing the only person he could disappoint in this situation was himself. Still though a seed of doubt was present, planted somewhere dark and deep within the boy. “You’re right, soap bubbles could be funny.” Syl’s face was a smile, but the kind of weak hearted smile the lad came to know Dealla wouldn’t accept as an answer.
Smirking, the young wizard knew that Hogwarts was primarily concerned with teaching young wizards how to control their powers, not cast spells. Sylvain was already capable of making bubbles, as was Dealla, it was the control that they lacked. What Sylvain feared most was losing control. “What if instead of soap bubbles, I make stinky gas bubbles, or my bubbles are too big, or small, or what if I make too many of them, or not enough to spray?” His voice was filled with dread and anguish. It was obvious from the way Sylvain spoke that the poor student had miscasted spells enough to have dealt with this issue before.
Managing to talk himself into his nerves again, Syl clenched Dealla’s hand, his knuckles turning white. “You go first. It’ll be easier to learn if I watch you go before me.” It was an honest extension. Sylvain often found it easier to follow an example than set one.
“Well, then I guess we’ll have to open all the windows - fast,” Dee retorted, then snorted at the thought of a bubble being too big. “I hope I make a giant bubble,” she said, grinning. “One a person could fit into. Then I only need to learn how to cast them around annoying people, and suddenly I’d have my peace whenever I want it. Also, in what world could there ever be too many bubbles?” She shook her head at the absurdity, but squeezed Syl’s hand right back.
A quick look towards the front of the queue told her that there were still a few students in line before her, so she just repeated the incantation in her mind a few times to make sure she didn't forget. Bullarum immortalem - BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem. It wouldn't do to try to talk Syl's confidence up and then end up failing herself because she'd forgotten the incantation.
Professor Edit: For a moment Zahid was worried that the pair of Ravenclaws was too distracted and not paying attention to the lesson, but it seemed they were simply discussing the lesson's topic.
Still, not great, but at least he couldn't fault them for not paying any attention to the lesson. It seemed the girl was attempting to give the boy a pep-talk and successfully at that. Their bubbles' colouring was still a bit … peculiar, but that's what additional practice was for. Still, their last attempts' bubbles did not dissolve but stayed as solid as the charm's bubbles were supposed to be, so he gave them both a nod. "Well done, Miss Prince, Mister Indarys. Though maybe a little less talking and more practicing next time, hm?" While some might consider the words a rebuke, his amusement at having to remind them (on principle) was probably audible.Bullarum Immortalem learned

This is my continued post!
With the firm grip of a close friend, Sylvain’s purpose was found. Sylvain was going to try his best to prove Dee right, and show her that he could be a competent wizard too. He’d set an example for himself. As they approached the front of the queue, Sylvain chuckled at the thought of encapsulating his foes in gigantic unbreakable bubbles. Dee was right as always. Giant bubbles was definitely the coolest way to defeat a villain the young boy had ever heard of. At least for right now.
They were nearing the front of the queue at this point, and when the person in front of her turned away to line up again at the back, Dee found herself facing a short boy who she vaguely remembered to be an older Ravenclaw. He was grinning, apparently immensely enjoying being sprayed with bubbles by a bunch of first years, and Dee grinned right back, bubbling with excitement. “Thanks for being our guinea pig,” she told him, before preparing herself to cast the spell.
Dee let go of Syl’s hand to grasp her wand properly, then raised it to aim at the fourth year. “BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem,” she enunciated clearly, the way Professor Zahid had shown them, then watched as a bubble started forming from the tip of her wand - growing and growing and growing until it was larger than a head. Apparently she was about to get her wish, but when it reached the size of a giant pumpkin, Dealla started giggling so hard she had trouble holding her wand properly, and the bubble burst, spraying everyone in vicinity with tiny flecks of soapy water that smelled like citrus.
Now it was time for Dealla to let go of his hand. After finding resolve in the support of a friend, the lad kept his beasts at bay on his own. A confident smile crept across his face as the ever impressive Dealla Prince stepped forward to take her chance at producing bubbles charmingly. The wand motion was perfect, a simple flick and point of course. She obviously took care to ensure the incantation was dead on, but Sylvain’s worry grew as she hesitated while the bubble grew larger and larger. Bursting in a soporific spray and splattering in his face, the wary scholar couldn’t help but feel like it was done on purpose. It didn’t matter however, as the young witch’s giggling was more than enough for Syl to enjoy the incident instead of overthinking it.
Wiping bubbles from his cheek, Sylvain chuckled lightly at the levity of the situation. “I can’t believe I was so worried,” he whispered as he struggled to keep a second, but more nervous chuckle at bay. “Casting spells really isn’t so bad after all, and hey, at least none of it got in my eyes.”
“Oops,” Dee said, entirely unrepentant, took a deep breath to steady herself, and focused again. “BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem,” she repeated, and watched as a dozen apple-sized, dark purple coloured bubbles were released from the tip of her wand and floated towards the older Ravenclaw to cluster around his head without breaking.
She smiled, obviously extremely satisfied with herself, stepped to the side and turned towards her friend. “See? It isn’t that difficult, and failing once or twice doesn’t matter, either.”
The smell of grapefruit and maybe even the slightest hint of ginger permeated the classroom. It wasn’t the first time in his life he wished he could taste a soap, but it was his turn to attempt controlling the charm. Stepping forward, Sylvain looked to Dealla for one last bit of comfort before raising his wand. Of course, being a good friend, she reassured him that failing wasn’t the end of the road. Sylvain’s wand disagreed with her however. The Cherry Wood wand with Dragon Heartstrings was temperamental and willful. The wand wanted Sylvain’s willpower to control their combined magic instead of fearing it. Carefully, but assuredly he incanted “BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem,” as he directed his wand at the target. From there, the wand took over in its usually flamboyant fashion.
A constant spray of fist-sized technicolor bubbles spewed from the end of his wand towards the, all-too-willing, Ravenclaw volunteer who giggled a bit too much as Sylvain’s spell affected him. Watching as the waves of light were distorted by the bubbles, something deep within Sylvain felt soothed to see that he had managed it on his own. Still, he looked back to Dealla and Professor Zahid to see what they thought and if they had seen him accomplish it.
Dee snorted as she watched Syl’s bubbles bouncing off the older Ravenclaw boy. “See? Told you it wasn’t so bad,” she said, grinning, and spun around to head back to the end of the queue to wait for another turn. “Good job!” she called over her shoulder towards Sylvain. He really wasn’t a bad wizard, she thought, just needed more confidence. Well, of that, she had plenty to spare.
Sylvain’s mouth turned up only very slightly in the truest of smiles as the reserved mage’s friend made her way to the back of the line for another attempt. He was pretty proud of himself for having asked for her help. He was filled with even more pride when the second time around she nearly drowned the giddy Ravenclaw volunteer in giggles and bubbles.
Professor Edit: For a moment Zahid was worried that the pair of Ravenclaws was too distracted and not paying attention to the lesson, but it seemed they were simply discussing the lesson's topic.

The Bubble-Producing Charm, First Year
The brunette Slytherin listened carefully to the professor’s instruction. She had been excited from the moment she had entered the classroom and seen the tables pushed towards the wall. She liked the facts in History of Magic but learning a new spell was always challenging and fun.
“BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem.“ She whispered the incantation without her wand to get used to the sound while she randomly lined up behind a young Ravenclaw. “BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem. Bullarum Immortalem.“ Didn’t sound that difficult, did it?
Excited, she bounced up and down on the balls of her feet and watched her classmates who were already testing the charm on the volunteers from the higher classes. She could hardly wait to try it herself. Her fingers were itching.
This spell might look useless to many witches and wizards, because it was hardly helpful in a duel or battle. But Ileen enjoyed the thought of being able to cast never bursting bubbles. Something pretty and nice. Maybe she would need it one day, and if it was only for fun.
When it was finally her turn, she met the green eyes of an older Hufflepuff. She gave the boy a bright smile, pulled her wand and aimed at him. “Bullarum Immortalem!“
Full of enthusiasm and distracted from her target, she did not concentrate properly. In fact, she conjured up a few bubbles, but they were all different sizes and floated sadly in the air before bursting right in front of her nose after only a few seconds.
Ileen blinked in disappointment and wiped her face with her sleeve. She probably looked quite bewildered, so she couldn't blame the others for laughing.
Frustrated, she wrinkled her nose. Normally she performed spells properly at the first or at least second try. This time she wouldn’t waste energy on smiling at others but concentrate!
With this goal in mind she tried to block out the eyes of her target, raised her wand, and pointed at him again. “Bullarum Immortalem!“ This time, she managed to cast a stream of bubbles, still not all of the same size, but close enough. They were not as golden as the ones the Professor had conjured, but still! They were bursting when they touched the Hufflepuff.
With a little smile on her face, she smiled at him. She was getting there. If she would put all her energy and focus on her next attempt, she would hopefully succeed.
Her brown eyes narrowed as she aimed carefully before speaking the incantation. This time she managed to conjure golden bubbles, sending them through the room at the Hufflepuff. One of them bounced against the floor and then floated back up. With a satisfied grin Ileen took a step forward and tapped it with her fingers. The bubble changed its flight direction, but didn't burst. "Fun. I like this spell.”
Professor Edit: It was always nice to see students genuinely enjoy learning something new. Of course, he'd like if it happened more often when he was actually teaching history but he had no illusions when it came to the popularity of his subject. Still, he could appreciate the joy the Slytherin felt in learning such a spell as the one they covered today. "Well done, Miss Knight."Bullarum Immortalem learned

When the green eyes girl arrived at the classroom, one thing that caught their eyes was all chairs and tables were being pushed aside to one side of the room, making the class larger and free up some space. Next there are five volunteers in front of the class and it seems the five of them are upper-class.
Cash stood at the back of the class and leans into one of the wall as they listen to what Professor Masoud said. Professor Masoud asked the class participates to practice the spell without their wands first. This time Cash stand up straight and obey what Professor Masoud ask of them. "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem"Cash said under their breathe.
"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem"The brunette hair girl said once again. They groaned when the words that came out from their mouth feel strange to hear with their own set of ears. "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem"The young serpent said one more time, it is still strange to hear with their own ears. Cash shrugged their shoulder and pushed themselves.
They line up on the queue across the brown hair Hufflepuff boy that Cash did not pay attention to the boy name when Professor Masoud introduced the five of them to the class. When they standing in line, they saw three of their acquaintances. Dealla Prince, Slyvain Indarys and Ileen Knight.
"Oi, move"The boy stand behind them, nudge the green eyes girl softly. Cash whipped around and glare at the boy. "Do not touch me"They told the boy. Cash then move slowly until it is their turn to face the brown hair Hufflepuff boy. "Show me what you've got"The boy stated. Cash took out their wand from the inside pocket of their robe, hold it in their dominant hand and pointed it to the boy.
This is the nerve-wrecking moment for the serpent. Although it was not shown on their face, Cash heart beat increase a bit. Cash inhale and exhale their breathing, "Bullarum Immortalem"Cash pronounced the spell loud and clear. It was like watching a video on slow motion, the tip of their wand slowly producing bubbles.
The bubbles fly towards the boy slowly and Cash waiting for the bubble to bursted. A few minutes later the bubble stay intact. Cash smirk and raise one of their eyebrow. The fifth year boy let out a chuckle. "Not bad, Freshman. Not bad at all"The boy stated and the green eyes girl nodded at his acknowledgement.Word count : 396
Professor Edit: Zahid was quite surprised when he heard Mr. Fabbri call the Slytherin a 'Freshman' as that was not exactly a common term on this side of the pond. Given how intently she seemed to be watching the progress of her bubbles as if she had to watch them move millimetre by millimetre, it almost looked as if she thought watching so closely would somehow slow time to enable her see every detail - but while her bubbles did not move any slower than those of the others attempting the spell, they did hit their mark and did not pop, so her focus seemed to have paid off in that at least. The Bubble-Producing Charm, First Year
Backtracked to Henry's first year
Henry was excited to hear that they were finally learning the bubble producing charm in class, he remembered how his older brother talk about how they used it during the Christmas holidays before Henry had a chance to go and he always thought that the charm sounded elegant and graceful but now he was learning it and he would have a chance to practice it, although he was a bit nervous and could feel his anxiety loom over his head when the professor mention that they would be practicing on older students. Henry didn't want to hurt them nor did he want to mess up and fail so Henry got up from his chair and went to the back of the classroom to practice the pronunciation when the professor was done with the lecture.
"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," Henry spoke quietly to himself, he thought he might have said it wrong so he spoke again "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," Henry thought he said it correctly but couldn't he sure which made him think of asking someone for help but his anxiety prevented that as he thought of someone laughing or bullying him for saying it wrong so he spoke again "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," when he was a bit more confident he went to the front of the room and stood in front of the older hufflepuff boy who they were suppose to practice on.
Henry took his wand out and practiced the movement a bit before he cast the charm, which was simply just point your wand at the target which was what Henry did. Henry then pointed his wand at the boy again to practice the movement and when he was done he thought that the older boy was laughing at him so he pointed his wand at the boy and spoke loudly "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," as he spoke a few bubbles came from the tip of his wand then floated over toward the older boy which Henry smiled as he spoke " not bad, right?"
Henry looked around and decided to do the spell again as he pointed his wand at the older boy and spoke loudly "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem," Henry watched as the bubbles floated from his wand to the boy in which Henry spoke " this is awesome, I wish Anna could see this. Maybe I'll surprise her with the charm at home?"

The Bubble-Producing Charm, First Year
Ah, another fresh smell of class.
History of Magic, to be exact! With each coming class, he started to like it, slowly but surely. As Remi walked into the classroom, however, as things appeared to be changed for something the professor appeared to be cooking up.
Listening to the professor, it appeared they would be learning a bubble charm which, in Remi's mind, seemed odd on why would a wizard would want to use it in everyday life for a said wizard, but he also knew that not every wizard is going to be going through combat and, with being first years, things weren't really going to get dangerous with actual spells like he was excited to learn, like hexes and curses.
Couldn't complain though. He was getting taught at the Hogwarts so he couldn't spoil that opportunity that his books have hyped him up for so long, the constant torment of his sisters. No more!
As Remi saw the stream of golden color bubbles, he was impressed, and almost immediately, he wanted to pull out his wand and show all of these people that he was the one.
That, thankfully, didn't happen as he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of everyone. He had a lineage to look up to, for Merlin's sake!He allowed the word to settle in his mouth before declaring out to the world,"Blah-bubble-blah..."He did a soft,"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem."this spell didn't really seem too hard, if Remi took the time to think of the spell, it had bubble in the name afterall."Hmm."He told the professor before getting his wand out,"I think I'm ready to try, sir."He remembers that he didn't need to yell every spell out, just say it properly."Bullarum Immortalem."
His wand produced about two bubbles, simmering in this weird cloudy-white color.306 words!
Professor Edit: Zahid was a bit surprised that the Gryffindor announced his readiness to (attempt to) cast today's spell to him, but he observed the (somewhat successful) attempt. With a bit more practice (and confidence in his casting of the spell) the boy would do well with the spell. The Bubble-Producing Charm, First Year
Backdated: To Flash's first year
Flash wasn’t originally all that keen on learning how to make unbreakable bubbles. He wasn’t entirely sure what use they would be, and as a rule he generally focused what little spare time he had on things he deemed productive. Reading, researching, reviewing… well, he still couldn’t pass up the opportunity for learning something new. One never knew when or how something could be useful, and sometimes it was just a matter of creativity. Better to be prepared for anything, and to fill out one’s arsenal. It wasn’t as though learning the spell was going to be hard. Not like Professor Zahid’s actual class, Flash’s worst subject by far.
Flash said nothing during the short instruction, and queued diligently, awaiting his turn. He idly watched in amusement at some of the other attempts, not expecting to have any problem with the casting himself. It wasn’t as though he was the most confident spellcaster in the world, but his pronunciation was fine. He had practiced it out loud with the rest of the class. The wand movement and concentration were usually the trickiest part of any successful cast, but that was also a simple matter on this occasion.
His attention was entertained long enough for his turn to arrive, an older student he didn't recognize in front of him and awaiting his harmless bubbles. Being in a room full of others chanting the spell, he felt no particular stage fright when pointing his wand at her.
"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem." Flash was sure to put emphasis on the correct syllables.
Nothing flashy, just another faceless student in the crowd.

Professor Edit: The next student whose attempt he observed, seemed, while not quite confident, at least not concerned about his ability to cast the spell. And to rights, it seemed as the boy easily succeeded in the actual cast. "Well done, Mr. Holmwood."

Another class, another spell, another learning opportunity for this studious Slytherin girl. Taking clear, uniform notes during this History of Magic class, Amara felt ready to begin practicing this Bubble Producing Charm. As the older students lined up on one side of the class, the first years lined up on the other side, ready to start.
Most first-year students have just begun the spell and with a final glance at her notes, Amara points her Mayhaw wood wand at one of the elder volunteers, and redheaded Slyerin and lets the words of the charm fall from her rosy lips, "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem" As the words drip down and awaken the power nestled in the first-year, multi-sized golden bubbles emerge from the tip of her wand.
A smile makes its way across Amara's face, what girl could be immune to shimmering gold bubbles that are all but invincible, definitely not this girl. Taking a small bubble in her hand, Amara runs her delicate fingers across the smooth surface, trying to figure out where they came from and how this works; something to research later. She looks around the room, seeing it filled with more shimmering bubbles and plenty of delight from other students.

Katherine wasn't really amused about learning how to make bubbles appear from her wand, she was more interested in powerful spells, spells that can protect her in an actual fight but first she needs to make little steps she thought to herself, she watched other first years try and attempt the spell on the older opponents.Katherine didn't doubt herself she knew she could do it,The spell itself was simple but the name was hard to perfect.
she said in her thought "BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem its not hard" she watched some of the first years try it and fail ,doubt started crawling in her maybe it isn't as easy what if it doesn't work I would look like a fool I should perfect this she took a deep breathe and shook of her doubt since doubt is an enemy and she doesn't lose as she walked up in line she stood in a line which had a red haired slytherin she watched as some failed to do it and some succeeded,A rush of thought came to her of what her father would think if she fails she tried to avoid her thoughts and wait patiently in line.
After a while her turn came up she got her wand and determined her head to focus and she said confidently"BUL-la-rum im-MOR-ta-lem" and soon later a bunch of clear bubbles came out the end of her wand she knew she wouldn't fail or did she, she gave a big smirk and watched her bubbles and noticed other peoples bubbles.

Professor Edit: The Gryffindor currently in front of Miss Ojeda seemed to be one of the ones with more bravado than actual confidence but from Zahid's experience that just meant she would need a bit more practice to settle. “Well done, Miss Labrouder.”
