xx 𝕷Avery was late to the spectating of the alumni Quidditch match. She had not even realized the event was that day until she had heard of it in passing conversation. Though at least she had made it. And of course it was when the game was starting to get interesting. It seemed that the team was smaller than a normal Quidditch match which meant losing players was bad. Avery winced as she saw alumni falling to the ground. That would really hurt.
But that was not the point of the game. The point of spectating was to enjoy what was happening and watch in expectation of what was going to happen next. Avery recognized her flying professor, Professor Weems as the moderator. Avery had admired the man and was glad he was the moderator. He was an amazing teacher and Avery had already learned a lot from him in the past year.
But that was also beside the point. Right at that moment, Avery had one goal in mind. Choose the team that she wanted to win. That would prove to be difficult as Avery did not know a few of the players and others were graduates she recognized or did not recognize.
Though one person caught her eye. She knew her from when Slytherin had crushed Gryffindor in her first ever official Quidditch match during her first year. Koko Riddle. The girl was a talented player and seemed to be playing Keeper. Well, at least Avery knew one person to cheer on which meant that Nebula Drift was the team she wanted to win. That would make cheering so much easier.
The Nebula Drift team was not doing too well compared to the other team, but that did not change Avery's opinion. Once she made a decision, the lioness stuck to it. No matter what happened or if her team lost. This was her team now, and she would make sure to give them her all and make sure they knew she was cheering them on.
"Yes! Go Nebula Drift! Go Koko! You guys got this! Keep it up!" Avery called out to her chosen team. If anything, at least a little cheering would boost their motivation considering things were not going well for them so far.
All that was left for Avery was to sit and watch. The outcome would be determined eventually, and all she could do was watch and cheer. That was her job, and that was what she was going to do.xx

A line of spectators had formed at the entrance to the stands of the Quidditch pitch, a mixture of Hogwarts students and alumni gathering to watch the second annual alumni sports event. Naturally, Frederick was among them, including a few people he knew, climbing the steps excitedly to get a good view of the Quidditch match. The boy knew that some of the players on both teams were former Hogwarts House team players, which immediately caught his attention.
As he searched for an empty seat, climbing higher to find a good view of the pitch, Buckley felt the blazing midday sun warming his body. Merlin, what was with this bloody heat? he thought, climbing the last few steps before taking a seat next to a shorter girl with dark hair and a stylish appearance, someone he vaguely remembered seeing in one of his classes or around the school corridors. "Excuse me," he said, not wanting to draw attention to himself, but simply trying to be polite. First things first, Frederick found himself having to take off his wine-colored jumper, pulling it over his head and revealing a fitted white T-shirt underneath, now the only thing he wore alongside a pair of simple jeans.
Before long, the brooms cut through the air and the match began. The boy kept his eyes fixed on the sky, trying to follow every play with the naked eye. Frederick had attended a professional Quidditch match before, thanks to his father's connections within the Department of Magical Games and Sports, but watching a match at Hogwarts, played at a higher level than the games he himself took part in, had its own charm.
Buckley unconsciously crossed his arms over his chest, keeping a close eye on every movement on the pitch. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he had decided to support Nebula Drift, and he dropped his arms to applaud Koko Riddle's beautiful saves. The Keeper hadn't let a single one through, and Frederick, as a rookie Keeper for the Gryffindor team, couldn't help but pay close attention and take mental notes. “Beautiful save!” he exclaimed, commenting to no one in particular. Clearly, Fred had the posture and expression of someone who knew quite a lot about the sport, being himself a Quidditch player.

He wears no caps to shield him from the sun. Seemingly used to it more than some.
The only sun protection he has is the sunglasses on his face. Which- unless implied - generally rests on the top of his hair.

It was the introduction to too many teams at once, that prevented him from joining the alumni games - even if he was interested in it at first. His job could be moved around, traveling wouldn't be so bad. Especially now when he was making somewhat more than his previous part time job. But he was already getting used to his own quidditch team now, while his heart was still recovering from the gap his Mahoutokoro Quidditch juniors left in his chest. How anyone could jump one team to another, he didn't quite know yet and admired them for it.
He was still saddened by the fact he wouldn't be able to see how Mahoutokoro and their new teammates from different schools would go yet. But arriving here to this rare event was better than waiting for the next time they opened hogwarts quidditch stadium for everyone. Hopefully, he would be able to meet recognizable faces here.
The arrival and unfamiliar was far more easy for him to adjust to with Ginyami by his side. Through their up and downs, they yet again find themselves in an unfamiliar situation. Long-distance. Well - as long distance as wizards allowed. Transportation was much more advanced with wizards. Though they don't met as often as either of them liked - Ginyami made evident effort to see him through the curious portkey. Which Sara didn't fully understand still. This would've been the first time Ginyami used it together with Sara. Hand in hand, they arrived at the event.
An arrival that had Sara give a less graceful entrance. Tumbling forward across the ground with nothing but a tense shoulder, and mixture of grass and dirt on his knees and palms to show for it. " I' I'm okay. That was just... fast". He assured first before even having the mind to stand up again. Shouldn't have let go of Ginyami's hand- he figured.

Theodore wasn't amused. In his eleven years of life, he'd met enough pure-blood children who thought they were better than anyone. He'd be lying if he didn't think of himself as someone who was among the best at specific stuff, but he certainly did not let it be the first impression people got from him. The red haired girl seemed to be the opposite, offering him a handkerchief on behalf of other spectators. It would be something Theodore would've laughed at, had he found it funny.
Unfortunately for the girl, who Theodore supposed didn't even try to be funny, the sentence had made her look like an egoistic little girl. Probably someone who was only tolerated by some people just because they were scared of her. The glare didn't seem to scare him either; he'd seen people with darker demeanors than an eleven-year-old short girl who thought she could scare people away. By the behaviour, Theodore had no doubt that she was a spoiled little pure-blood. He didn't think about it being a wrong assumption. He wasn't the wisest person in the world, but he could tell when someone was a pure-blood; because most of them, if not all, acted like it.
"Ah, pardon me, ma'am. You just seem so... invested in something that had barely begun," he stated. As annoyed as he was feeling about the arrogance -no, he was not forgetting that impression anytime soon-, he had to remind himself that he was not at home. That meant he had to stay respectful to everyone, even if he didn't want to, and not ruin the Vorona or the Russo image. From previous encounters, he knew that was the case with a lot of pure-blood children. Theodore couldn't help but think of it as essential, but not only for pure-bloods; if kids acted out of line, it would be the guardian who was blamed, not them.

Percival wasn't too sure what to expect when Hanako had floated the idea of going to the upcoming alumni event. The idea of escaping their small apartment, far too small for three people, had been tantalizing. Especially since he had burned the toast that morning, and he could practically sense Hanako's judgment. Though, in all seriousness, being trapped inside day in and day out was starting to affect his sanity.- In Use: Polyjuice Potion - 08/21/26 - 11:10am -
To say that adulthood was starting far more differently than he expected was an understatement. Here he was expecting his Uncle to hold him under his thumb for the rest of his life, marry him off, and force him to stuffy ball after ball. It seemed set in stone, and yet he was free. However, freedom seemed to come with a painful and annoying price. The last time he had escaped his Uncle's clutches, he ended up being spirited away by some shady men back to his gilded cage, a fact he and Hanako had thoroughly discussed. Which is why he had barely set foot outside the apartment since he had left his Uncle's estate.
A safety precaution that now put him into this predicament, long golden hair draped over his left shoulder. Tucking a few strands behind his ear to try to keep it out of his face, to no success. A frown pulled across his face as he looked into the rather feminine face staring back at him. When Hanako had brought up the idea of using Polyjuice as a way to disguise him, he had thought he was crazy. Though there was some merit to it. His Uncle was looking for him as a boy, so what better way to hide from him than as the opposite gender? Besides, at least he wasn't the only one doing it.
Looking at the makeup carefully applied around his eyes, he could almost remember the feeling of sitting perfectly still as Hanako leaned in close to apply more makeup. His own makeup adorned softened features, his long hair cascading down past his shoulders. Percival frowned at his reflection before turning to change into a simple sweater and slacks. That had been the one thing Percival had put his foot down on. Though he tried to find a pair that looked a little more feminine than his usual dark colors. The boy would follow Hanako out of their hotel room, his earlier frown disappearing from his face as he walked beside him. It almost felt like old times, something that brought a sense of nostalgia and something a bit sharp.
"Really?"she said, glancing towards her, brow raised slightly. "Well, in my defense, I would probably get hit by a bludger if I were to focus on the crowd long enough to notice you." she said with a snort. Percival glanced around with a surprised look, scanning the crowd that seemed to have gathered. The girl could not help but be surprised at how many had turned up to watch the game. In her opinion, she thought playing it was a lot more fun than watching. A fact that she quickly reiterated to Hanako, "I have to say I think playing it is a lot more fun than watching." she hummed out thoughtfully.
Percival would let Hanako rest her elbow on her shoulder, a frown on her face as she watched the game. As someone fell, Percival let out a loud whoop, his other arm coming up in an excited gesture. "Did you see that!" she laughed glancing toward Hanako quickly. "I would say Nebula Drift is definitely not having a good go around. They've already lost three people!" she said with a laugh.

ReducioPossibly unfamiliar looking to those who knew him. 'He' felt like being perceived as a 'she' today. Using the power of spells, potions and make-up, Hanako dressed far more feminine than his usual. His clothes were the usual he wore on the weekends when it was hot, but what most may notice is his voice that completely changed, much more softer - lighter. The make-up he wore intentionally did it's attempt to hide his sharper lines, and softening his features greatly. His hair that was usually jet black, was now a warm auburn colour, with bangs covering most of his forehead - unlike his usual hairstyle. Though his face, hair, and voice has changed, those who really take a close look may recognize him. Maybe. (No need to owl me if you want your character to recognise him, so long as its within reason)
"Really?" Percival - or rather 'Sasha' said. " "Well, in my defense, I would probably get hit by a bludger if I were to focus on the crowd long enough to notice you."

There is was- the tickling urge to lower her voice, lift the corner of her dewy pink lips and closer their proximity. At that last second, she thought she'd really do it. If it was anyone else, perhaps she would've allowed the tempting flirt to naturally slip out her lips and enjoy the possible reddened cheeks on Sasha's (Percival's) face. Alas- it was the fact that it was Percival- was why Hanako couldn't do it. Instead she shrugged with her usual smirk. " Considering the risk of being bludgered in the first place, I doubt my presence would make much different even if you did notice me"
It stung a little bit to know that Rainwood didn't even think that Hanako would ever had the mind to attend her games. Given how she acted towards him in their early friendship - she didn't blame her. " Burnett was part of the team for a while too didn't he? I remember at some point weren't there about 4 severus snape kids on the quidditch team?" Nostalgia - a shared memory they could never get back to. A safe topic to fall back on when in doubt.
"I have to say I think playing it is a lot more fun than watching." Sasha (Percival) says.
" Is it? Haa- well, what did I expect from someone who's been on the team as long as you have" she retorts, though pausing a bit to glance at her companion of the day. " You did seem the most in your element when you're in the sky, holding that bat" she comments, though her gentler tone - as if part of her didn't want to be heard- was indication that it wasn't a comment she expected a reply to.
There was a time where she wished Percival would have that glow on his face around Hanako, the same way Percival glowed on the quidditch pitch. That past seemed so distant and yet at times, while they started living together, occasional shared moments - was like unlocking small treasures Hanako had long forgotten. Forced herself to forget, really. Even now she wonders if what she was truly doing 'enough'.
But then seeing Rainwood's excited gestures and pure glee just at watching the game - directing all that glow to Hanako as if she was good enough to receive it despite all she had done - it send a sting to her chest, that translated in a weakened smirk. Once she got get her wits back, she responded in the only way she knew how.
" .. Wanna bet?" followed by a mischievous look.

I took the glass of Buttereer from Aaron and gave him a grateful smile before taking a small sip. The cold drink was exactly what I needed in the heat.
When he asked how fond I was of Quidditch I looked back towards the pitch.
"I really like watching it" I said. "I watched an International Quidditch match with my parents and my sister two years ago and I've been interested in it since then."
I watched one of the players speed pas us my eyes following them for a moment.
"I havve never actually played though. I would probably be terrible at first."
Before I could say anything else Diana came over and joined us.
"Hi Diana" I greeted her with a smile on my face.
I listened quietly as she talked about the match and her interest in Quidditch, Broom Racing and Duelling. She seemed excited about trying them all especialy Quidditch and I guess I feel the same.
As she mentioned wanting to be a Seeke I looked towards the players flying around the pitch.
"Seeker does sound fun" I said "Although I think I would be too distracted by everything else happenning around me."
I laughed softly.
When Diana asked who we were supporting I looked towards the pitch again. I did not really choose a side yet. I was here because I enjoyed watching the game.
"Honestly I don't know yet" I said with a slight laugh "I think I will just support whoever plays better."
I took another sip of my Butterbeer and leaned against the back.
While Aaron and Diana continued talking about Hogwarts and the different activities they might join I listened quiety. They seemed to have a lot to talk about.
I heard they were both in the same cabin in the Hogwarts Express.
Seeing them talk so easily made me think if they had become pretty close during the camp. I had not really noticed before seeing them together was different.
For some reason I found myself waning to be part of their conversation instead of just sitting there and listening.
I looked towards Aaron when he said he wanted to learn more about the Hogwarts teachers. I remembered my own exciteent about finally starting school.
"I think the best thing is perhaps to try everything at least once" I said "Then we can figure out what we actually enjoy."
Another cheer suddenly came from the crowd.
I quickly turned towards the pitch and saw the players racing towards the hoops.
My eyes widened as I watchhed them.
"Did you see that?"
I laughed completely caught p in the match again.
For a minute I forgot about everything else and just stayed in the moment, the match, Aaron and Diana by my side.
Everything suddenly felt so much better.

The heat radiating off the Hogwarts Quidditch pitch on the twenty-first of August was absolutely blistering. The air was thick, heavy and aggressively humid making Bartholomew Lindenmomo instantly regret wearing his signature maroon flannel. Normally the Quidditch stands were the last place he would ever voluntarily spend his afternoon. The chaotic, screaming sports energy was usually a drain on his social battery filled with students acting like complete NPCs over a game of flying balls.. Today was different. The international summer camp was hosting an alumni match between the Nebula Drift and the Battling Abraxans and the aesthetic had been completely overhauled.
Of the usual rigid wooden benches and intense sports rivalry Professor Katherine Townsend had transformed the stands into a massive chill picnic. Red and white gingham blankets were draped across the seating areas complete with pillows and small baskets. It was giving cozy vibes despite the sweltering sun. Bartholomew navigated through the growing crowd of students and alumni dodging a few overly enthusiastic fans and made a beeline for the refreshment station. He grabbed an ice- cherry popsicle and a chilled drink mentally handing the professors a massive W for the elite setup.
Finding a quiet corner near the back of the stands Bartholomew set his acoustic guitar down gently on a gingham blanket and leaned back against a plush pillow. He unwrapped his popsicle letting the freezing sweetness combat the heavy summer heat. Below the adult alumni were paddling through the humid air on their brooms warming up for the match. Bartholomew watched them with curiosity. It was a random highly eclectic roster today. He had heard rumors about the players—a metal charmer, a trainee auror, two headmasters, a duellist and even a starving artist.
"Bro, a starving artist playing Quidditch is peak main character energy" Bartholomew thought, thoroughly amused by the concept. It was honestly a flex to show up to a magical sports event with that kind of resume.
Suddenly Professor Ruckus Weems’s magnified voice boomed across the entire pitch from his Oakshaft broom. "Welcome to the annual alumni sports event! This summer we’re playing quidditch!"
Bartholomew winced slightly at the volume pulling his guitar a little closer to his chest protectively but he offered a slow appreciative nod anyway. He watched a group of students from Uagadou and Mahoutokoro laughing together near the front row proving that this networking event was actually doing its job. It was definitely cool to see the different school aesthetics clashing and blending in one place without any drama.
He wasn't emotionally invested in whether the steelblue or dark green team took the victory. For him this was a premium opportunity, for solid timepass. He rested his hand over his guitar strings occasionally plucking a muted chord that perfectly matched the distant hum of the crowd. Surrounded by the chatter of international students the comfort of the picnic setup and the shade of his messy fringe Bartholomew took another bite of his popsicle and settled in. It was a zero-tension afternoon and that was literally all he could ever ask for.

The scorching heat of the sun bearing down on the vibrant green quidditch field made Rosamund feel like her skin and her retinas were being slowly torched to ashes.
Born and raised in London, she was much used to the rain and the cold. Even with the light sundress that her mother made her wear for the game, the feel of the hot, humid air on her skin made her want to wish for a nice, cozy thunderstorm right about then.
Though, that would likely disrupt the game that everybody seemed to be excited for, so maybe just a little drizzle will do.
Looking up at her mother talking to a friend—someone from her year, it sounded like—Rosamund surmised that the only reason they were even here slowly cooking under the blistering heat of the sun on the quidditch stands was for her mother to catch up with her fellow alumni. But as she saw her mother sporting a rare joy and openness talking with a friend, she couldn't bring herself to disrupt them either.
She took a deep breath and resolved to bear the heat for a while, gathering her long, wavy hair in a bun and trying to catch the eye of one of the people distributing cold drinks and snacks. She might as well enjoy a popsicle or two while she tried to understand the rules of the game.
