xxx"Hey... nice cloak." Ellaine followed his gaze down to her own cloak. It was a lovely piece, its colour a nicely black, a colour her mother lamented, but it was pretty!

"Likewise! The green suits you very much," she added helpfully, though it need not be said. "It reminds me of those-- travelers, in stories!"

Perhaps drawn by Paul's attention -- her own words, too -- Skylar noticed her presence. "Ellaine! How are you? Ah, I missed you!" Her energy was certainly infectious, along with her hug, and Ellaine found herself returning the gesture, taking comfort in the nice feeling wrapped around her. "Nice cloak! Looks like I really missed the memo, huh?"

"They're very stylish, cloaks," she agreed. "Yours look nice too-- Your clothes, I mean, not your cloak." Which was quite foolish to say, considering that there were none on her friend's shoulders.

"Whoa... I think I wanna see that, guys. Shall we go inside? We can come back later." Now following her gaze, Ellaine set her eyes onto the pavillion. There was a conspicuous group of students gathering around, looking like they were about to... Well, like they were about to fire-dance!

"Well hell yeah! Let's go watch the dance!"

Her cheeks still felt warm. Ellaine studiously ignored it, taking hold of the new topic like one would a lifeline. Ellaine had heard of the fire dance before. A welcoming act of sorts, she recalled, but she must have forgotten again... Lacking any sensible thing to say, Ellaine let herself be dragged away with a laugh. It was a fun thing, stumbling together along, which made it all the more noticable when they came to a halt.

"Wayfinders, I would like you to meet my sister from another blood, Mikaela Hendricks."

There was a girl, which was quite easy to notice, considering that Skylar had been enthusiastically greeting her. Ellaine smiled, and it was an easy thing, for she was feeling light and happy. A greeting wave of her hand was what she'd gone for, while she did her best to record Mikaela's face into her memories. Brown hair... too-many, so instead she focused on her facial features, all the while trying not to seem like a strange fellow. "Hello... Mikaela!" she said, a curious note apparent in her voice. "I am Ellaine Weatherby-- it's nice to meet you."

She was wearing jeans, and light clothing, which did suit the Amazonian weather... Skylar probably had the same thought. It was already humid, the kind of warm-hot-humid she was not quite fond of, and that was without the upcoming fire show being taken into account.

Which reminded her--

"Are you coming with us to watch the fire dance?" she asked, partially intended as a rhetoric more than anything. Skylar was definitely not letting Mikaela go alone to the fire show-- fire dance, she corrected herself. It didn't matter much, with excitement already bubbling up because-- "it's fire!"
