Thank you for all the things you guys did in this site, from lessons, support, encouragement and answering the questions we have, made our time in this site much more enjoyable. I remembered when I first came in this site, I had zero idea on how to rp, how to write a story and stuff like that, but because of your encouragement, I've become a more confident writer and someone who loves this site like it's my life. Thank you so much, I can't even represent my gratefulness and respect and love with words for you all!!! <333

To all those departing their role on staff,

I wanted to make this post with this account to just emphasize how important HiO has been to me all of these years! I discovered my love for role-play on this site and have had the pleasure of taking a character all the way from first year to graduation and beyond. Now on my second gen character I am still just as in love with this site and this community as I always have been. (Sorry we don't chat much IRL, I'm a bit shy OOC) Over the years I have dabbled on some others sites, but I have seen just how bad/toxic those communities can be and how quickly they can crumble and go dark. Having been on HiO staff a couple of times myself I have seen firsthand just how much work goes into to keeping a community both healthy and alive. So, I thank you, the ones before you and the ones to come for all of the hard work and effort you have put into all of this. I am so lucky to call HiO my home for creative writing and that would not have been possible without you all. I'm always open for a thread, so hopefully you all will continue your own passion for writing and I can come bug you with one of my characters! Love and good luck to you all!

I do remember when I was just starting out and did not have the best... 'internet mannerisms'. You admins were patient with me and I could see all the love and support you put into this site. I'm very sad to see yall step down, but with how well you've handled everything as admins, I'm sure its for the best of reasons. A community's moderation team can really make or break it. You guys didn't just make it, you lifted up and supported. I hope that you find joy and fulfillment in whatever your next endeavor is!

Dear Cara, Galahad, Lesmana & Nora,

It truly does feel as if it is the end of an era, and I know for a fact that it's been a wild ride. Thank you all so much for keeping an eye on us crazy kids both ic and ooc; I don't think the site would be the way that it is in both structure and enjoyability if it hadn't been all of you at the helm to guide us.

I know from my own experience that the HoH team not only helped to introduce me to the site and this variety of written roleplay, so I know for a fact that so many other users have both been acclimated/introduced and gained a love of this type of fantasy as well (and will never forget or lack for a thankfulness for being coached or helped with their developmental journeys along the way). Your impact on the ooc community and the players will forever be beloved, and I hope that in the next chapters of your lives you continue to do great things for those around you on and off the server and wherever you go.
