Day at the Beach open closed

It seemed rather sudden that a few crumpled papers had gone tumbling across the sand before bumping into the boys', just a bit insistent with the soft breeze that had picked up along the shoreline. The paper wasn't exactly normal but carried a bit of heft that perhaps parchment would. Some of the wrinkles in the papers were tinged with color or lead stains. It was just as suddenly that a girl stumbled over, slowing to a stop not too close to the boys. Red strands of hair were coming loose from her braid, leaving the ginger with a disheveled appearance. Her cheeks were flushed as if she had either been running for a while, or she was slightly burned despite the briskness of the beach at the moment being nothing compared to the blistering summers. The blush on her face almost left her freckles to blend in some as she bit her lip, sea green eyes glancing towards the crumpled papers as she readjusted the sketchpad and assorted pencils under her arm.

With some hesitance, she came over, rolling up the sleeve of her cardigan with her free hand. "I'm so sorry, those er... kind of got away from me," she said with a quirky smile, pointing delicately at the crumbled papers as if asking permission to pick them up. She glanced back over her shoulder once before speaking and once after. Someways behind her, an older boy stood. He bared an incredulous resemblance to the girl, sharing most of her features from what the boys could see, as he was at a distance. He raised a hand in greeting to the boys from where he stood before he started back off, what seemed to be a textbook open in his hands. The girl didn't find it odd that her presumable sibling was reading a textbook while at the beach. Then again, she wasn't far off from peculiar with a paintbrush behind one ear and what looked like a daisy behind the other. At the moment, however, she was just rather frazzled.
