Closed This Was NOT The Plan!

While Ava had found the food fight a little amusing once she wasn’t part of it, being covered in food was no fun. She wanted to glare at Lucian but knew it wouldn’t help her situation. Thankfully, Opeila Winters, another prefect she didn’t know well, used a spell and cleaned everyone up, leaving Ava grateful. She would have gone and thanked the prefect, but in recognizing them from the night of ‘The Incident’ she chose to keep her distance, much as she imagined the prefect would want.

She finally had the chance to speak and explained exactly what had happened, not changing anything to fit her. Well, not changing most. Although no one directly confirmed what she had recounted, no one denied it either, and that was good enough for her. So long as Avery had been listening to her as she gave the story, she would be fine, and detention free while the rest would be stuck doing Avery’s bidding. That ought to be fun, she realized with sarcasm, a detention with Prefect Leveret. They would probably end up giving him massages and the likes for Avery’s own entertainment!

Luckily for her, Avery nodded at her, telling her she was free to go. As much as she wanted to shout out ‘So long, suckers!’ she didn’t, knowing it would probably land her a detention. Anyway, there were two prefects nearby. She gave her own nod to everyone still here and made her way out of the chaos, giving Avery his own individual, deeper nod. Better to stay on his good side, although she really was grateful for him for regaining control. Maybe he wasn’t all bad…
