2023, Stage 3 Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 4

Logan looked over at Sam as no spell was cast. Her incendio duo had managed to hit but for some reason that girl had done nothing. "You might want to pay attention Salwis!" The Hufflepuff called out to her opponent. Yes, Logan really wanted to win the match, but she did not want to win unfairly if the other duelist was going to be in a world of her own and not paying attention.

They said 7 is a lucky number. That saying is probably true for the two remaining Duellists still standing firm on the Duellung Club piste. Logan Baird a fourth-year Hufflepuff defending the black and yellow house and on the other side of the stage, Samantha Salwis represents the house of eagle. Both of the Duellists did not back down and rose to the challenge.

It seems like either Logan Baird or Samantha Salwis had the desire to prove something. Of what or to whom, only time will tell. After Salwis broke off from whatever distracted her mind in the last round, it did not take so much time as she bounce back and focused more on the situation at hand. Salwis knows the time running out and thus she did not waste any chance or time much longer.

Whipping her wand as she made the wand movement and whisper slowly for the Wind Jinx incantation, Samantha Salwis directed her trusted magical wand up toward Baird. Though Salwis seems out of it in the last round, for those who had doubt in her, it proves that Salwis was a great spell caster.

Her Ventus hit Logan Baird. The strong gust of wind produced by Salwis' wand managed to knock Baird several steps back and make Baird hard to see her surroundings for a quick second. Not accepting the attack from her opponent, Logan Baird sent off a quite powerful Flipendo at Samantha Salwis.

The force from the Knockback Jinx hit Salwis on the chest. It was an eye-for-an-eye-ish type of situation. This time around Cash did not ask how's Salwis fare. The only question that remains unanswered is who will come up as the victor in this last match of Duelling for the 2022/2023 school year.

And for Salwis' snarky comment about Cash's parents? They let it slide. For now, anyway.

When the other duelist called her out, Samantha still hadn't been able to find Bubba in the crowd and it made her nervous. But she had to go on, she needed to focus. Her best effort was put into creating the winx jinx and aiming it at the Hufflepuff. When she succeeded at hitting her target, a grin appeared on the brunette's face. Maybe she could do this. Her little daydream was interrupted by a flipendo hitting her, and the girl was forced back to reality.

Logan felt the ventus spell hit her and knock her back a few steps. Now was not the time to hit the ground because it would make her an open target. She muttered a near silent apology before quickly casting flipendo at the girl. Luckily, it had hit its mark. This was definitely turning out to be an interesting match so far, but the Hufflepuff was hoping to end the round soon because she was beginning to tire.

Round 8 was the literal playing with fire. Neither Duellists that still stand on the piste would not be backing down since the end of the match is neigh. It was a battle of who has the strongest endurance, stamina, and will for both Logan Baird and Samantha Salwis. Two more rounds in the near future and this whole match will be over soon.

Since it was only just the two of them left up on the Duelling platform, it was a shot-out cowboy-style type of situation. The clock is ticking out and Logan Baird did not waste a single second of it. Shooting out from the tip of her wand - every Duellist best friend aside the Flipendo - her Fire-Making Spell II hit her intended target.

As soon as the fire hit Samantha Salwis, the small red ember of inferno started to burn and lap up the Ravenclaw. The inferno was strong enough to put a pain against Salwis but from the look and shape of the fire itself will not hold for too long. The same case could not be said for Baird. It was a well-deliberated spellcasting from Salwis.

It was all or nothing, go big or go home type of occasion for the mighty eagle. Not so far from being burned herself, Samantha Salwis raised her wand. And in the form of retaliation, she also sends a strong Incendio Duo toward Logan Baird. The red ember was strong enough to give a burning sensation and pain behind the spell.

As much as Cash wanted to end the match, they could not since both of the Duellists still had two more antagonizing rounds that they need to pass through. Once the match is over then the moderator could call it over. The question that comes to Cash's mind is could either both Baird or Salwis push through their pain; bring honor and pride to their respective houses before one of them is unconscious?

The last two rounds will be interesting for sure if only both of them still stood firm up on the stage and did not give up in the pain that slowly taking a toll on them. 強い者が勝ちますように。幸運を! May the strongest win. Good luck!.

This duel started to look less and less good for Samantha and the young girl was unsure if she could still win. However, that didn't mean she would give up just yet. Maybe something magical would happen and she would end up winning. There was only one way to find out, so she didn't stop. Aiming her wand for the only other duelist left, Samantha casted incendio duo at Logan. A weak smile appeared on her face when she hit her target. It was sad but true, she had been unable to dodge the spell aimed at her and she too was suffering, maybe even more than Logan.

Logan should have expected that her luck would not last forever. Yes, she was doing rather well this match and was far from dropping, but her was currently on fire. She could feel the heat and slight burn of the flames as they crawled across her robes, but the Hufflepuff was not focused on putting them out yet. She needed to focus and would deal with the burns later.

It was do or die in round 9. For the remaining Duellists still standing on the Duelling Club platform, it was a fight for survival. And as the last resort before the last round that will be rolling in the near future, the Knockback Jinx spell had been shot out from left and right. The first one who would test their luck and fate is Samnatha Salwis.

The Ravenclaw was not much better from her opposing side. But it did not deter her to shot a Flipendo with the last remaining energy, endurance, and stamina the third-year eagle had. Raising her wand and directing it to one Logan Baird, her aim was true but Baird managed both not only dodging the incoming attack but overseeing it before the spell could even hit her.

Perhaps Salwis's energy was wearing thin and maybe that was the reason why her assault did not go as Salwis hoping for. But still, whatever Salwis had in her body, it is a fighter's spirit. And Cash for once was astonished - not that they will admit it out loud any time soon, anyway - by Salwis's fighting spirit since she was fighting until there was nothing to fight for.

The same case happened to the soon-t0-be fifth-year Logan Baird. She thought with the last Flipendo that shot out from her wand will put Salwis out of the equation and the bird miser but no, that was not the case. Her incantation and wand movement for the Knockback Jinx was down to the T but the result was just the same as what Saliws did to Baird.

Once the jet of light that indicated it was indeed a Flipendo came out from the tip of Baird's wand, Samantha Salwis with the last whatever energy and fighting spirit that still stored in her body managed to evade the could-be potential that put her out of the game but the match still went on. It was a matter of who still had the last energy to pull it through.

The rhetorical question will be answered in the last round to determine who comes out as the victor in this amazing match. May the best win!

The high hopes she had started the duel with had lowered significantly during the last rounds and this round didn't help either. The duelists used the knockback jinx and aimed their wands at their opponent. Samantha was getting tired but she still tried to hit the older girl. Casting the spell took a lot of focus, leading to her aim being off. Her spell missed and she let out an annoyed sigh, just before she dodge the incoming spell. Things could have been worse.

Logan was tired and just wanted this to end. She already planned on going straight back to her room, change, and cuddle up with Sherlock for a nap, it sounded like a great plan to her. Really the match was not going on for that long, but the Hufflepuff felt like it had been going on forever while she was the one casting the spells. Logan thought she could have ended it with flipendo, but the Ravenclaw had managed to dodge with ease. Maybe Logan would be able to end it in the next round.
