The Last Compartment of the Last Car
Howie had stated that she was insane, he was being honest and sincere, she didn't mind. Aurelia always tried her best to meet her parent's expectation or make them proud, she didn't want to put a frown on their faces by loving someone they wouldn't see fit. She trusted her parents to know what she liked and dislike and they would definitely choose at least someone decent for her. Aurelia was still eleven, and had so much more thing to discover about. What would she know about love at such a young age?
She merely gave both of them a shrug, however, the thought bothered her slightly. She was over thinking, possibly. Then she herd the rolling of a cart.
It had been quite a while since Aurelia had a taste of chocolate. Her Mother had said it would rot her teeth and therefore never bought any to be put in the house. Her thumb slipped into the small thin cardboard latch of the box and pulled the lid open. She tilted the box diagonally, expecting for a few pieces of chocolate to roll onto her palm, instead nothing came out. It couldn’t be empty. Aurelia turned it so the opening faced her. She barely peered into the small whole when a dark brown object jumped towards her and landed right on the bridge of her nose.
“Get it offfff!” she screamed at the top of her lungs but still kept still, for she wasn’t sure what the thing on her face was. As if spooked by her yelling, the cold object hopped down, landing on her palm. It was a frog. A chocolate frog. Disgusted, the girl shook her palm violently causing the frog to fly in Howie’s direction.

A middle aged woman said after she slid the compartment door open. Ami had turned the offer down, Aurelia on the other hand, stood and walked towards the entrance where the cart was. She scanned through the huge variety of sweets she hadn't seen before. Her hand reached towards a small box. She brought it closer to her so she would be able to see the tiny letterings. "Chocolate Frogs". She handed the woman a sickle before plopping back down onto her seat."Sweets, anyone?"

The Last Compartment of the Last Car
Howie sat back in his seat, sweeping his hair back as he tried to make sense of everything Aurelia had said. He had much to learn about this wizarding world. Casting a glance at Ami, Howie saw that she looked just as baffled as he was. At least he was not alone in this. Just then a knock sounded on the compartment door, Howie’s eyes shifted in that direction.
A pleasant looking woman rolled open the door, in front of her was a cart piled high with all sorts of delicious and odd looking treats. Howie’s eyes widened at the site of them. “My my! What have we here!” Ami was quick to turn them down, but Aurelia made her way over to pick something out. Howie would follow suit. She picked an odd little box, handing the attendant a silver coin. Howie quickly turned away, taking his seat again. “Umm...not hungry, thanks.” A slight tinge of blush rose up under his eyes. He secretly prayed the other two hadn’t noticed, for Howie had no extra money. In fact, if it hadn’t been for the scholarship offered by Hogwarts, he wouldn’t have been able to come at all.
Just then Aurelia plopped back down in her seat, her focus seemingly on the box of treats. Howie looked out of the window to avoid eye contact.

Aurelia screamed, causing Howie to jump to his feet. He looked around frantically for the sign of the disturbance. “What! What is it!” He yelled back. She was flinging her hand around, trying to shake off something. Howie finally spotted it, a frog! How the hell did that thing get in here. Just as he was thinking it, the little bugger jumped right at him. Holding out his hands he caught it mid air. “Aurelia! Calm down, it’s just a frog.” He peeked into his hands, it looked unlike any frog he had ever seen before. It was completely brown and smelled...sweet. He looked back up to the other two, “What the hell is this thing?”“Get it offf!”

Ami crinkled her nose in doubt as Aurelia chose a chocolate frog, and as the sweets-lady rolled her cart away. Alright, an odd choice, but okay. Abella had given Ami the rundown on many of the common sweets and snacks the wizarding world had to offer, if only to warn her of what she could and couldn't eat.
Aurelia, despite being a pureblood, didn't seem to have this knowledge. Odd. Chocolate frogs were a staple of the wizarding world's sweets, it was certainly quite peculiar that she didn't know how they would react. Howie, of course, would have most likely never have heard of them, considering his decidedly non-magical upbringing. She doubted, as well, that there was a chapter dedicated to sweets in any history book about the magical community.
But oh, she was evil, oh so evil. Maybe she was more like her mother than she realized? Ami only looked on as Aurelia shrieked and flailed about before flicking the sweet to Howie, who promptly caught it and inquired as to what it was. Goodness, did these kids not- with a slightly exasperated sigh, Ami scooted to the edge of her seat, reaching for the now-empty box .
"Chocolate frogs," she read out loud, dropping the box in Aurelia's lap. "They're frogs. Made out of chocolate. Not chocolate in the shape of a frog, contrary to seemingly popular belief. Mystery solved." Nodding at the box in Aurelia's lap, she added, "There's a card in there. Check who you got. Howie, give Aurelia her chocolate back before it melts."

Howie had extended his hand just in time, saving the frog from the dirty floor. It was still chocolate but who had invented such a thing? It would be sadistic to eat frog like creatures while they are still alive and jumping all around.
Howie had questioned what it was. Aurelia’s upper lip lifted in disgust as she stared at the sweet in the boy’s hand. It was chocolate, she still prefered normal chocolate in bar form rather than frog.
She turned around to slide the window open, letting the cold air flood, but as she did, from a distant away, she saw dark pointy ends stick from the hills. It was the castle! It was Hogwarts!

Ami had explained. Her mother hadn’t allowed her sweets but fruits. It was no one why she hadn’t heard about the magical chocolate before. They're frogs. Made out of chocolate. Not chocolate in the shape of a frog, contrary to seemingly popular belief. Mystery solved.
Immediately, Aurelia she took a backwards. She didn’t want the chocolate anymore, she could just throw it ourtside of the window, it was late autumn and the frog probably wouldn’t melt in the temperature. She had took the frog by a leg held feet at arms length away as if it was a very dirty sock, “Do you want it Howie?” She asked. She wasn’t going. To eat a frog, who knew what it might do to her digestive system?Theres a card in there. Check who you got. Howie, give Aurelia her chocolate back before it melts.

The Last Compartment of the Last Car
What an odd thing to make. Why on earth would any witch or wizard make such a thing. Gross images of biting into one flashed through his mind. Did they have chocolate frog guts? He shuddered at the thought.
Ami let out a sigh, possibly a bit frustrated at the other two for thier lack of knowledge, but she went on to explain what they were anyways. Definitely gross. Howie looked in her direction, sticking his tongue out at her as he held his hand out for Aurelia to retrieve her treat. She was obviously still disgusted by the idea of it, for she held it as far away from herself as possible. He couldn’t quite blame her. This was not a good introduction to the world of wizard snacks.

“Oh god no.” He held up his hands in refusal. “Chuck that thing.” He followed her as she made her way over to the window, but she stopped abruptly, staring out of the window. “Go on Aurelia, ditch that thing.” Howie looked over her shoulder to see what the hold up could be. Off in this distance he spotted it, tall spires reaching up from the hillsides, high into the sky. Holy smokes! That must be it! It had to be Hogwarts! “Woah! Is that the school? Ami come see!” He beckoned for her over his shoulder. “They sure didn’t hide it very well.”“Do you want it Howie?”

What a waste of chocolate! Ami would've eaten it if she weren't vegan- but oh well, lifestyle choices would be lifestyle choices. Still, quite the waste of food. It was still all chocolate, after all- most kids Ami knew who kill to get free chocolate. Interesting that these two refrained from eating the frog, plus, Aurelia hadn't even given so much a glance at the card in the box. Odd.
Aurelia moved to go throw the poor frog out the window, but was instead distracted by something. A castle? They were in Europe, there were castles galore, here. Howie rushed to the window, too, and pestered her to come see, insisting that it was Hogwarts.
It couldn't be, were they there already...? Slowly getting to her feet, Ami joined her compartment-mates at the window, peering outside. Indeed, there was an absolutely massive castle perched upon a hilltop, looking gloomy, yet regal at the same time. Really, just like an asylum.
So, this was going to be her prison. Not bad, to be honest. Pretty luxurious, actually, especially if the grounds were as great as her mom had boasted. But still, she wasn't going to like it here- she absolutely refused to. She wouldn't.
"It's not hidden because we're wizards, Howie," Ami chided gently with a small smile. "Only No-Majs can't see it."

The Last Compartment of the Last Car
Aurelia seemed lost in thought as she stared out amongst the hills. Howie could hardly blame her, the country side was quite beautiful, a drastic change from the streets of Manchester. As he stared out at the castle he would soon call home, the nerves began to flutter again in his belly. His compartment mates had been a great distraction but now reality was setting in. Howie was a wizard, and just over those hills was a school that would teach him to hone his abilities. He pressed his head against the glass, silently praying that Hogwarts would be different from his Muggle school, that he would find true friends and a community that would accept him. Ami joined him at the window.
Howie turned his head to look into her chocolate colored eyes. He couldn’t help but smile as she teased him, rolling his eyes at her statement. “Uh..Muggleborn...remember.” He said to her with mock sass. The two had developed a good rapport with one another. He appreciated her no fuss attitude and straightforwardness. Maybe this would blossom into a friendship during thier first year at school. Howie shifted his head back towards the window, letting out a sigh. “Almost there...are you nervous?”"It's not hidden because we're wizards, Howie," "Only No-Majs can't see it."

"Muggleborns are still wizards," Ami mumbled under her breath, rolling her eyes in an overly dramatic fashion that was 100% sarcastic. Oh yeah, she wanted to be friends with this kid. People who couldn't take a joke, couldn't lighten up tended to be... well, downers, if anything. Howie didn't seem to be one of those types of people- in fact, he seemed to appreciate her blunt way of putting things, instead of masking things in soft words like most other people would do. Wonderful.
Ami scoffed at Howie's question, adopting an expression of extreme superiority. "Nervous? Why would I be nervous?" Ahahaha, she was really fricking nervous. After all, she was going to a new school, one where she didn't know the people, the teachers, the classes, the subjects... She had always been a pretty smart kid, but this was a whole new realm of schooling. There would be no more extra credit she could bank on if her grades began to slip, no teachers she could bribe with Christmas gifts and cheery smiles.
This was the real world, now. She needed to grow up.
"Are you nervous?" Ami shot back, keeping her calm and cool demeanor on the surface, her facade still strongly intact. No one would be able to tell that she was slowly freaking out inside. "Don't be. It's just a school. I'm we'll be complaining about the homework load in no time, just like any other school."
As the train screeched to a halt at the station, the call for the first years to find a boat partner was heard, and Ami glanced at Howie and Aurelia. "No more than four to a boat," she repeated, echoing the groundskeeper's words with a shrug. "Unless one of you two wants to back out now, I'm going to guess that we're going to be sharing."
"If you push me into the lake, I will murder you," the redhead added on as an afterthought, recalling the fact that she couldn't actually swim. Lifting her backpack onto her shoulder, but leaving her suitcase behind as instructed, Ami stepped out of the compartment with a deep breath that the other two wouldn't see.
Time to go kick butt and face her fellows classmates.

The Last Compartment of the Last Car
Aurelia knew the wizard world liked to keep itself well hidden from the eyes of muggles. But it couldn't be hidden from muggleborns since they have magic in their blood somehow. The hills were beautiful, especially when the setting sun was in such a gorgeous shade of orange. It was Autumn, nearing Winter, she had heard about a snowstorm that had hit Hogwarts few years back, shutting the school down temporarily when the snow flooded its insides. She hoped that the weather this year wouldn't be as bad.
Ami then mentioned about the boats. Aurelia had completely forgotten that the transport to the castle were boats for first years. She had heard that dangerous creatures lived underwater, merpeople and a giant squid. she had also heard that the boats were magical and could sail itself so there would be an unlikely chance of it tipping.
Ami had already stepped out of the compartment. Aurelia smiled at Howie. He was a muggle born, Hogwarts was going to be something interesting for him.
"Good luck in Hogwarts, Howie." she said, with slight sarcasm in her tone of voice as she put her foot through the threshold. She began making her way to the nearest exit.
She heard Howie ask. Aurelia pressed her lips tightly together. She couldn't say if she was nervous or not, she didn't know what to expect. Howie and Ami weren't bad at all but what about the others in the school? She certainly didn't want bullies. Are you nervous?

Ami warned. Aurelia laughed slightly. No one in the right mind would want to get in trouble on their first day of school. But it wasn't guaranteed that it wouldn't happen, sometimes, things could happen when eleven year olds were too excited. If you push me into the lake I will murder you.

Howie laughed as Ami rolled her eyes at him, busting his chops one more time as the train screeched to a halt. He tried to draw some of her courage for himself as she claimed there was nothing to fear. However, Howie had his doubts. How the heck was she so confident in a situation like this. He was a confident boy most of the time, but this new magical world scared the hell out of him. What if he was no good at it? With one last jolt the train pulled into place at the station. The announcement came out to them. First years partner up for the boats.
A cold sweat broke out across Howie’s brow, his stomach clenching. Boats! What the hell! Why! The castle was just across the way. Ami asked him to come along, and in true form, threatened to kill him if he pushed her over. Push her over! More like cling to her for life. Howie didn’t know how to swim. He barely heard Aurelia wish him luck before following Ami out the door. With shaky hands he bent down to grab his pack. “Ami! Wait up.” He called out in a shaky voice, running after her.
