Charles listened to the girl who he now knew as Xailah. Foolish girl had given up her name so easily when she introduced herself. Now that he knew it he could use it to his advantage later on. Since he now knew who to blame for the attack on him, Although a attack never happened but that's besides the point, He was going to get the girl in trouble if he can. He would have to make up a convincing story though, but now that he had her name it will make it a bit easier than before when he did not. He saw her gloved hand but ignored it as he was not going to be as foolish as the girl and introduced himself. Oh no he was much too smart to do something like that.

“ What do you know of being wise girl. If you were wise you would have not attacked me unprovoked. Oh well I guess you will learn your lesson when you are in azkaban serving time for your crime. Oh i bet you have not heard about the new policy that was enacted by the ministry of magic. “ He said as he groaned in pain, He needed to get out of this bathroom soon and make his way to the hospital wing so he could heal. But he was having too much fun and although he was in pain he could not help but want to hear their reactions about what he just said. About how they will be sent to Azkaban for their crime of a unprovoked attack. None of it was true of course, But he was not about to admit that to the students.

“ It will pain me to see you in Azkaban.. All of this can be resolved if you just told me who or what you were protecting in this bathroom. That is all that i asked and if you tell me.. As well as the names of the people in the bathroom. Then I will not tell anybody what happened here. But if you do not.. Well a quick owl to my father and you be off to azkaban. I heard stories my father use to tell me that the dementors take no pity in children who are sent to Azkaban “ He said softly but in a voice that was slowly becoming more dark. The girl will regret attacking him one way or another and the boy.. Well he will think of something to get him in trouble. He hoped the boy would tell him his name and try to save himself from going to Azkaban that is of course if they believed him and his lies.

“ It doesn't matter what reasons you had. The ministry of magic won't care either way. All they know that a attack happened and that will be it. They have no tolerance for students attacking each other and would want to make a example of you by sending you to Azkaban. “ He said in a dark voice as he turned his attention to the boy now.

“ So you admit that you allowed it to happen and did nothing to stop it. “ He let out another groan of pain “ Now why would i allow you near me. After all that happened do you think i would let you anywhere near me. No not a chance you already did enough damage as it is “ He said softly as he let out another groan of pain. Once the blinding light went away he looked at the boy and squinted. Oh how foolish of him.. The boy was not in his house after all. “ Your not in my house after all. But neither are you brave to be in Gryffindor since you did nothing to help a fellow student. No your just a coward and belong in no house. My bet your a Mudblood. Just wait until the Ministry hears that a mud blood attacked me. Oh you be sent to azkaban along with your friend “ He said in a dark voice as he groaned in pain but slowly made his way closer to the door of the bathroom. He looked at the students and waited now to see what will happen.

Sorry for the wait y'all, wasn't feelin' well x Ax But in any case, since it appears Kathleen Taylor is unfortunately no longer with us on Hio, as de facto DM of the thread, I'll write her out of the story so we can proceed. Also, gave the thread a rather fitting new title. XD

November lay curled in his stall, hands pressed tight over his mouth, muffling every last sound, even his breath. Though he couldn't see much more than the occasional pass of feet by the bottom of his stall, keeping so silent allowed his ears to spell out for him the full story that transpired without.

He admired the catlike girl, Xailah's careful balancing of the situation, the way she carefully wrote him out of the tale, and kept her own head above water at the same time. He'd need to find a way to thank her, his gratitude was immense.

A soft squeal sounded from near him, the patter of frightened footsteps, and he figured that had to have been the other girl in there with them, the redhead. The footsteps continued, then there was a scuffling against the door, the silver plinking sound of something metal hitting the floor, and then a swift slam as the terrified thing managed to at last unlock the bathroom door, swiftly slamming it shut behind her where the lock clicked back into place. Well, that took care of one problem, and he suspected she'd be too frightened to ever report what she saw. That left one more....

Speaking of the devil, November's blood froze when he heard him speak once more. Azkaban. Prison. This boy could send them all to jail.

Immediately, a thousand thoughts ran through November's mind as he froze in place, eyes wide.

A thousand plans.

There were no stairs this time, no easy push and the deed is done. He'd have to find some other, more difficult way to take him out. But this time, he also had his tools. One cut in the right place, done. One poison administered as false care, done. One well-timed blow to the head, done.

But then, once done, would he be as lucky as to have the death ruled an accident a second time?

No, the staff here were far more attentive than the ones at his former dwelling, and even expert criminals couldn't always hide a body without a single trace, if the news was anything to go by. And he was just a boy.

Silent tears began to fall from his eyes to his knees below, as he struggled to keep them from reaching the ground, keep from making even the slightest bit of noise.

Alas, there is a reason for everything. Xailah had given them her name, because she wanted them to remember it- remember it well.

The redhead girl apparently couldn't handle what was going on. Xailah watched as she made a mad dash to the door dropping the scalpel in the process of her escape. Instinctively, Xailah made a grab for the gleaming instrument as it hit the floor; she felt her fingers wrap around the metal base of the scalpel. For a second she was tempted to keep the surgical tool for herself instead of returning to Stall Boy. It was so shiny and it glistened beautifully in the dim lighting of the bathroom, but she managed to resist the temptation of keeping it.

Tall Boy suddenly started making threats about sending all his "attackers" to Azkaban, which at first concerned Xailah- until she came to the realization that she had no reputation that could be harmed by being thrown into prison, besides Xailah was quite crafty when it came to a situation like prison- she would almost definitely be able to find some way out.

"I would like to see you try having me sent to Azkaban. So you go ahead and send an owl to your father, and when you write the letter to him I want you to make it very clear that the person who "attacked" you was a eleven year old girl, who is almost half your height, and that her name is Xailah Alptraum. I want your father to know that his son is a chicken!Cheep-cheep-cheep-cheep!" The concerning situation had now turned into a bit of a game, Xailah liked having someone to one-up.

There was still a problem though, deep down she still didn't want to get in trouble because she feared that her family would be disappointed, but if that was her fate so be it, she could at least try to continue to help Stall Boy, and Gryffindor Boy. She didn't like the fact that Tall Boy was now threatening to send Gryffindor Boy to Azkaban too, so she took the Gryffindor Boy aside. "Excuse me Chicken Boy, but my "friend" and I need to have a word." She led the Gryffindor boy by the sleeves of his robes, into the stall adjacent to Stall Boys cubicle. She then cracked the stall door just enough so she could keep a eye on Tall Boy.

"What are you thinking at this very moment? Because he's not going to accept your offers until he trust you." she whispered to the Gryffindor Boy. She took a quick glace to make sure Tall Boy was where she had left him. "Poor kid, he's too stupid for his own good, you know I think our best bet is to just hit him over the head and drag him to the middle of the forbidden forest. That way some critter can find him and eat him." Her eyes darted back to the Tall Boy, she would hate to have to chase him down if he somehow managed to escape the Restrooms. "Of course we can take more civil approaches to this situation- which might be best....we could maybe get him to hit one of us so we could get him in trouble, blackmailing is also a option- especially if he has a group of some sort. Or...Orrrrr...I can make him a offer that he cannot refuse. I think I'll do that." Xailah remembered that the scalpel was in her possession, she took it and wiped what little blood was still on it off, and then gingerly handed it to the Gryffindor Boy. "I trust that you'll give it to its owner. If our wounded friend happens to refuse the offer....well... pick your poison and we'll just go with the flow- I'm not ready to give the other boy up to him just yet." She gently tapped on the wall of the cramped stall, in a attempt to reassure Stall Boy. She could hear him softly weeping.

With a small grumble Xailah poked her head out of the stall to address the Tall Boy. "
Quid vultis plus?"
A simple question that should have a simple answer.

Green's eyes narrowed at Charles hatefully. He took in a slow, deep breath as he felt the inferno inside his ribs spark and burn and begin to blaze, crackling like the surface of cold metal going molten, black smoke and black flame. He took one sudden, sharp step forward, sole slamming down next to Charles' bleeding foot mere inches from where his blood stained the tile, hard enough to echo against the walls, hard enough to crack toes, had they been there. "What a very unfortunate decision," Green hissed, eyes dark, bare shreds of his former civility flapping in the wind over the frame of something sharp, primal, and vicious.

He opened his mouth to say something more when suddenly, Xailah was at his arm, tugging him into a cubicle. He blinked, bewildered, the promise of violence in his eyes sputtering out like fire under a wet blanket; he had most certainly never been in a bathroom stall with a girl before, and he was getting just old enough for the implications to buzz in his brain like panicky billywigs.

He took in a deep breath as he listened to her, realizing suddenly that she might have saved him from rash action; the boy's lies were as ill-conceived as he was beginning to suspect the York bloodline might be, that was certain, but he had gotten a rise out of him, and there was a good chance that could only have been intentional. There were loads of pureblood Gryffindors. The boy knew nothing.

I'll kill him. I'll kill him all the same.

So when Xailah suggested they knock him on the head and drag him into the forest, his eyes sparked, and he leaned in, conspiratorial. He mouthed something back to her, barely audible even to her, only the sight of his lips hinting at his words; then he nodded, whispering a bit louder, likely audibly outside the stall, if someone had been listening close. "You're probably right. Not worth our time," he huffed, tossing his bangs from his forehead irritably. "Everyone knows the Yorks are on the decline, anyway. But as you will," he bowed his head to her, following her back outside the stall after having pocketed the scalpel.

Once there, he went to the central pillar of sinks to lean against one, watching Xailah do what Xailah would undoubtedly do. He was quite content to play backup on this one. And ideally, they could serve as a distraction for November to escape, even if they did get in some kind of trouble; the way they were positioned now, York would have to face away from the stall to keep his eyes on both of them.

It just occurred to me that I've been assuming the Yorks are a well-known pureblood family amongst the old pureblood families that care about such things. Is it genuinely well known, or just old? How much would another pureblood family reasonably know about them?

Charles blinked a few times as he listened to the girl speak. Did she not understand what Azkaban was surely her parents must of taught her about the prison, about what happens to those that go there, About the dementors that guard it and prevent any of the prisoners from escaping. It was like the girl was taunting him and she very well could be, He was not expecting anyone to willing want to be sent to the prison. This girl was brave he would give her that, brave and foolish at the same time. But he could not tolerate being called a chicken as he was not a chicken at all. He took a deep breath and slowly let it out. Just as he started to speak he noticed the girl and the boy go into a stall together.. To speak he would think but about what he was not sure he could not hear their conversation. No matter he would say what he had to anyway.

“ Oh you wouldn't last a day in Azkaban girl. Not even a hour because that is how weak you are. If anyone is the coward it is you, But you are a useful coward as you told me what i came here to find out. So for that I will thank you “ He said in a dark voice as he made his way finally to the door. He placed a hand on the doorknob and turned around to face the others in the bathroom. He was tempted to take out his wand and say the fire spell and burn one of the stall doors. But he thought better of it. What would be the point of doing that when there were others in the bathroom with him. No he will think of another way to get hurt these students, Not by magic but hopefully by detention. He would need to make up a good enough story though, But who would he tell which professor would he whisper the lie too. His head of house perhaps ?. Or maybe one of the other professors who may believe him more. He was not sure and would have to think about later.

“ What a question to ask me Xailah, What i desire the most, Oh It is many things but there is one thing i truly desire above all else. “ He placed his hand on his chin “ Oh Yes I do have one desire above all else. A desire that burns within me. A desire to discover a forgotten place within the castle. “ He said softly before turning to open the door that lead out of the bathroom, He needed to make his way to the hospital wing and then a professor. He was not lying when he said he wanted to find the forgotten place, Or a chamber he should of called it.. But that would have tipped his hand too soon.

"For your information, yorks are an ancient house and far from decline Boy with no house, " He said in a dark voice as he attempted to exit the bathroom.

November felt his heart leap into his throat at Xailah's words, her goading, daring the other Slytherin to imprison her. He couldn't let this happen, not to the one who had tried so hard to protect him when she barely even knew him, had seen him at his worst. He was trying hard to find some way of thanking her, but now, he supposed, it might have to be neutralizing the threat against her.

The York boy would need to watch himself around stairs from then on.

But then the other two moved into a stall, a stall next to him, and began to whisper. It took all he had in him not to breathe a heavy, much-too-audible sigh of relief at their words, and a grin spread across his face beneath the hand he held sealed over it. It seemed he wasn't the only one with this plan.

Suddenly, the gears began to click into place as to why the cat-eyed girl hadn't shrieked and run from him the way the other one had, why she saw exactly what he was doing down here, what he was trying to hide, and had wished to protect him anyway.

They were cut from the same cloth.

Eleven years without seeing another soul like his was, and now he seemed to discover a new one every week. Maybe they weren't so rare as they seemed, maybe the rest were just, shamed into silence, the same as himself. He'd have to keep his eyes peeled for more, seek out the signs.

He could hear York heading for the exit, wondered one last time if he should just, rampage, end him now. But no, he needed subtlety, and with the other not knowing he was ever here, having no idea he'd witnessed the night's events at all, this gave him the upper hand. And November could play a long game.

She took the Gryffindor Boys whispered words into consideration...perhaps that would be best.

York... boy did that name sound familiar. The only York that she heard of around here was Charles York- it had finally clicked. The Tall Boy was Charles York, he fit the description well; Tall, blond, poor attitude towards non Purebloods. All the puzzle pieces lined up perfectly.

Of course figuring out the Tall Boys name wasn't the best part, or the most important; who he was, and what he did was the important thing. Luckily for Xailah, she knew exactly who he was at Hogwarts. The long hours of sitting in Charms Class, listening to silly banter, and gossip has proven itself to be useful.

"So tell me mister York...How do you think your little posse of Purebloods would react if they were told of your acts of cowardice?-Boy, don't think I don't see you trying to make an escape." She knew York led a small group of Purebloods, and that what little power he had must mean something to him.
“ Oh Yes I do have one desire above all else. A desire that burns within me. A desire to discover a forgotten place within the castle. “
Xailah let out a small laugh. "I must of left out the fact that your "Forgotten Place" is probably being used as a meat cellar- its practically useless for your means; its especially useless with the Creature inside of it dead. Such a shame, I would have loved to see it for myself. -Say if you ever get into the "Forgotten Place" bring me back one of the creatures fangs." She made her way closer to York, before stepping in some of the boys blood. It was starting to get sticky.

She looked down with a disgusted look plastered across her face, stepping in the blood was almost like stepping in a watery piece of gum. She didn't like the feeling. "Eweugh. Here you go, you can have this back." She said as she proceeded to wipe the bottom of her boots off on Yorks pants.

Oh dear. :C It certainly looks like... though I hope it's only temporary. In the interest of time, however, I'll write him out. I do hope I do his writing justice; he shall be missed.

York flinched in disgust as Xailah's boot dragged stick red down his pant leg, ruining its crisp folded black. "What do you think you are doing, you madwoman?! Ugh!" he jerked away, stumbling backwards on his injured foot with a snarl. He spat on the floor, disgusted. "This isn't over! We'll see how you like Azakaban when you get there, Alptraum!" he spat, slamming the door closed behind him.

From his spot by the stalls, Green clapped, eyes wide. "Impressive," he said without sarcasm. "I get the sense he's not used to receiving that kind of resistance to his bullying. A shame; it was a lie about the Yorks, they really did produce some useful contributions to society, at one time," he murmured, stepping over to the thin pool of blood with a grimace. "I suppose we should clean up the evidence, but I'm sure that can wait."

He cleared his throat, looked back at Xailah with a slow smile. "Until that time, as I said, a pleasure to meet you, Miz Alptraum. My name is Rainier Green," he extended a hand. "And you've just done me a tremendous favor by defending my friend, and my self. Without your quick thinking, who knows what might have happened with this," he asked, producing the scalpel from his pocket carefully and gesturing towards it.

He knocked gently on November's stall. "It really is all clear now," he confirmed. He looked back towards Xailah. "I hope you'll meet me in the common rooms later so that I can reimburse you for the fizzbang. And, I suppose, the banana," he tisked his tongue, looking at where it lay on the dirty bathroom floor.

At last, more storming footsteps, and then, calm. November had managed to stay silent and hidden until the threat was gone, once again. He had a habit of that, it seemed. it was what had allowed him to survive, do as he pleased, for this long.

All the same, he was terrified.

He heard a soft knocking on his stall, Green calling the all-clear, but for a moment, he still had to fight, will himself to move at all.

When he did at last, it was to use the toilet he'd sought shelter on, the fear bubbling up through his gut until he retched. Well, there was certainly no more hiding now. So he grabbed his things from out of the lid again, cleaned himself off, and slowly, carefully, eased open the door of the stall.

"H-hello," he whispered, peering around the cold metal edge of it like a baby fawn from behind a tree, his large, dark eyes flitting from Green to Xailah and back again. "I, um, thank you for helping me back there, I do hope you're not in very much trouble, and I-... I promise I'll help you out of it if it does come to place..."

This time she didn't try to stop York, after all the best part of the hunt was the chase.

She turned to the frail boy who had helped back her up, a amused look on her face. "I don't think we'll have to worry about him, I have observed that most children like him are all talk and no show." Xailah knew that she would have to go after the York boy sometime during the night, at least to clean up any blood trails that he left behind.
"Until that time, as I said, a pleasure to meet you, Miz Alptraum. My name is Rainier Green,"
Xailah hesitantly accepted Greens handshake, and returned a warm smile to him. "Lovely name, I wish I had a name like that..." she let out a small chuckle. All joking aside, she really did want a normal name- if her looks didn't make her stick out like a sore thumb, then her name definitely did.
"And you've just done me a tremendous favor by defending my friend, and my self. Without your quick thinking, who knows what might have happened with this,"
"I'm glad I could help in some way- although I do admit that I'm curious to what would have happened if I had said nothing." She came to the conclusion that if she had said nothing, the York boy would have taken the scalpel.
"I hope you'll meet me in the common rooms later so that I can reimburse you for the fizzbang. And, I suppose, the banana,"
"-Thats not necessary...I'll let you backing me up, be your reimbursement. Besides I have a lot more where that came from." This was true, but she didn't just have small fireworks, she had a treasure trove of random objects stored in random places. Yes, she had a hoarding problem, and was often called a Niffler, or was accused of having "Dragon Sickness". She directed her attention back to Green. "Though I would love to meet up sometime soon...the three of us." She gestured to Green, herself, and the stall. That was when it opened, another frail looking boy opened the stall door and peeked around the side of it. Xailah looked him over for a brief second, analyzing his posture and his shifty eyes, but she only smiled at the boy. She didn't want to scare him away again.
"I, um, thank you for helping me back there, I do hope you're not in very much trouble, and I-... I promise I'll help you out of it if it does come to place..."
"Well...there's Yorks little bathroom ghost," She found this boy rather funny, she wasn't sure why. "I think I'll be fine for now, but thank you for offering mister....um, whats your name?" People offering to help her, was like a foreign language to her.
