Gryffindor vs Slytherin: Match 1
Alan was watching Santario as she spit the words and though in a way they reached him, there was also something that did not feel right. Santario would never say such things to him, or perhaps she would but not in such manner. He had been pushed away by her before but this felt different and so instead of getting angry at her, he couldn't help but laugh in disbelief. "Are you even hearing yourself? This is not you! And my age, really? We are both kids, you more so than I," he talked back to her. Despite not being out of breath or challenged by the duel, his breath felt heavy as his chest heaved. His eyes were focused on Santario, narrowed in confusion and worry. There was something wrong and though he felt hurt he wasn't sure if Santario was in her right mind or even herself at this very moment, so could he truly blame her for the things she was saying? "Come to your senses, please!" he tried once more, hoping to get through to her.

Gryffindor vs Slytherin: Match 1
Sarah smiled to herself as her spell flew from her wand, clearing the thick fog which had encased both her and Santario. It was a relief to be able to fully see again, not enjoying the low visibility when there was a chance it would lead to her missing an oncoming spell. At least if she could see it coming she could try and jump out of the way, to dodge the spell before it hit her. She decided she would try and ignore the arguments going on around her on the piste for now - Santario didn't seem to be changing her mind despite Alan's consistent pleas that she do so. Their back and forth was clearly getting nowhere and it was also clearly affecting their ability to cast as both of their spells flew off to the sides away from their targets. This duel was hard enough without watching their friendship wither away, so Sarah decided it wasn't her problem, not for not at least. Instead, she'd turn her attention back towards her opponent, just in time to see Galton's spell heading towards both of them. Her wand was ripped from her grasp before she even registered it had hit her. "Fuck's sake," she mumbled to herself, a frown settling itself on her features as she realised how dangerous a situation she was in.Action | Doing as strategized

Santario Martin & Sarah Lightwood
ReducioSantario and Sarah picked up their wands.
Effects: No longer disarmed, received half the Dodge bonus to their Evasion for the round (4 each).
The Slytherin's actions, for the moment, were clear: Get those wands back ASAP. Meanwhile, it was hard to tell which battle was more fierce, the magical one or the argument between Alan and Santario.
That didn't mean that Alan wasted the time in which Santario and Sarah were wandless, however, and with a well practiced spell, he shrouded their opponents in another wall of dense fog. Galton, unbothered by both words and fog, hit Santario with a competent wind jinx. Between fog and wind, the girl would have a hard time dodging any spells in the near future.

It seemed to Galton that whatever hostility his wand had entered this chat with had dissipated. There seemed to be enough chaos and power conjured in the duel so far to sate his wand’s appetite. And while Galton could only hope that his wand would continue to cooperate, he couldn’t help but smile from their current exchange.
With the added layer of fog returning to the stage Galton shot a short grin to Alan. The boy really knew how to read his mind some times.

Santario rolled her eyes. “So says the boy who has absolutely everything he ever could have wanted. Clearly, you haven’t been paying attention. Hardly anything I’ve been through in this school makes me a kid anymore. I haven’t been a kid since I watched my parents get murdered. So don’t dare think you can speak to me about such things, Vanes. When you have them eating you up from the inside out, then maybe, just maybe, you can talk to me about it. Until then, stop acting like a petulant child.” She was done. If it wasn’t for the consequences that would befall Sarah, she would have forfeited and walked off the piste in that very moment, but she did not for the sake of her partner despite knowing they weren’t going to win. She braced herself against the wind sent at her by Galton and picked up her wand before the fog made her lose where it was.

Alan could have had many thing to respond to that, some a lot more personal things. But the very last thing she said had caught him off-guard and was like a puzzle of its own. Eating you? What is eating you? What a confusing and weird thing to say, was it not? His eyes narrowed in confusion and momentarily he was perplexed. Galton's grin managed to pull him out of his stupor and Alan would return the grin with an uneasy smile of his own. Talking to San wasn't going anywhere, but clearly there was something wrong and he had to find out what it was!

Despite the bath at the beginning Santario was not looking good. Mainly because she seemed to be the big target for the Gryffindor's this round. Willow's heart ached as she watched the same fight happen between them as had happened with herself and Santario. Part of her wanted to tell Alan to give up on her, but it seemed wrong to intervene even on a social level during a duel.
Galton's Wind Jinx went off without a hitch. It didn't split, but it blasted Santario and Sarah successfully, leaving them slightly off kilter for the next round. Alan also hit Santario with a well timed Knockback Jinx. Willow truly had no idea how he was able to aim through the fog, but he sure was doing it. Santario retaliated with the weather-modifying charm, making an ominous storm cloud crackle above the lions. Sarah seemed to be slightly out of it, not casting anything. Willow's snug on the unnaturally hairless cat tightened ever so slightly as this battle raged on.

Santario mamage to conjure a dark lightning storm above the lion's heads, but she felt there was not much else she could do beyond continuing to brace herself against the fierce winds that Galton kept her consumed in. The Flipendo that Alan sent careening into her forced the air out of her lungs. It forced her to take a step back as she gasped to catch her breath.

Alan would attempt to put all of his focus on the duel at hand, so that his mind would not start to think about this odd situation with Santario. Especially her last comment seemed unsettling and he felt as if he heard of such a thing before though he could not put his finger on where he had heard it before. This was a bit odd indeed-. The Gryffindor shook his head to get rid off the thoughts that had invaded his mind once more. Focus on the duel.

The other snake girl must have really had it tough or something. Galton had been in similar situations before; all the stress bottled up inside of you, eating away at you from the inside. He and his wand were reflecting on times when they had both felt like that. Even just this match there had been a moment where they'd related to her. It felt good to express his feelings to someone.
