The round would ping off like pretty much any other round; only very quickly would San’s eyebrows rise up in amusement. There were to be Flipendos all around, which made sense. It was seemingly the most damaging one-off spell without taking into account prolonged fire damage. However, what amused her was poor Lamik backfiring a second spell this duel. He would know it was wrong the moment the words left his mouth, and as if he had cast it with the tip of his wand touching an invisible wand, the energy flew back at him. This is something that San would attribute to him being able to dodge Lily’s Flipendo. It had been cast pretty well, but Lamik would not be hit a second time this round. No, no, it would seem that the fourth year was his own worst enemy.

Everly was not going to lose her opportunity sending her own flipendo across the piste. It would also hit home, and while it would seem that Lily had almost dodged it, there was little room for speculation at how well Everly had predicted her movement. At this point, both Lamik and Lily would look like they were on their last leg, and San made sure to carefully observe them both as she was sure throwing a feather at either of them would knock them down right about now.

The smoke had completely dissipated and Everly regained control of all five of her senses once more, now able to clearly tell what was happening on the platform. Blue streaks of light were being shot all around, Everly’s toward Lily luckily hitting its mark dead on, and two towards Lamik-

Lamik’s spell had backfired again, his own wand turning against him again. Everly winced, feeling a wave of pity. Both he and Lily hadn’t dropped yet, but they both seemed very close. Hopefully Lamik could hang on for a moment longer.

Santario would be taken by surprise by this round, surely having thought that this would have finished the game or at least dropped Lamik. Lily would fire off a stunning Flipendo, and while Santario could have sworn it had been meant for Lamik, it would seem that at the last second, it decided to head for Everly, who was not about to take her first set of damage this duel especially not on something that indeed would have knocked her down. Luckily enough for Lamik, he would not seem to need to expend any of the, albeit small amount, of energy he had left dodging this round.

Lamik & Everly were ready to end this duel and claim their hard earn reward, but it would seem that Lily, while barely standing on her two feet, was still feather-light. She was not ready to go down, and even if it was for one more round, she was going to make the Gryffindors work hard for their victory while trying to prove that the underdog could win!

It would have been an easy win, had any of their spells actually landed. All of their spells went flying off course, straying from their targets. It seemed that both Lily and Lamik were very close to being knocked out - it was just a matter of whose spell landed first.
