Pain, suffering and agony. That seemed to be the running order for this duel which in many ways resembled Callie's recent luck quite well. This looming loss was simply a nicely packed addition to her newfound curse. Not that she was aware enough to even consider the irony as the poor girl was far too out of it to notice. Damn that bogies spell, damn it to hell.Action: Phased Out.

Opeila vs Callie
ReducioOpeila casts Mucus ad Nauseam at Callie
Wisdom DC: 12
Wisdom Check: [d20: 16] + 7 = 23 → Success
Auto-Hit: [d10: 6] → Fail
Accuracy: [d20: 5] + 7 = 12
Evasion: [d20: 15] + 8 = 23 - 2 (Dancing) = 21
12 < 21 → Miss
Between a drippy sinus and uncontrollable dancing, Callie was set to suffer by the Slytherin duellist. After a brief phase of extreme disorientation however, her symptoms subsided. Legs stilled, pressure alleviated, goop ceased to spout. Opeila was quick to prevent her opponent's recovery, but her next attempt at the bogies curse was avoided with a swift dodge. The Ravenclaw wasn't in the clear yet, as the seer remained thus far untouched, yet at least the playing field was even again.

Well at least she wasn't dripping like a faucet now. That had to be a minor consolation in what had become a bit of a nightmare. Without Thomas standing there by her side things seemed significantly more terrifying even if Opelia wasn't the scariest of opponents. Luck simply seemed to elude Callie recently and this duel was shaping up to be proof of such a fact. Bad luck or not the girl was still intent on not giving up quite yet, so free from the pitfalls of her debuffs she readied herself for the next onslaught.Action: Owled!

Opeila could practically smell the tension increase when Callie found back to herself. Quickly she casted a spell- to hectically. It wasn't too surprising when it missed the target completely.
The Ravenclaw was back, unaffected by bogies or dancing... Well, hadn't Opeila wasted her chance completely? Instead of trying to knock her out, she had played around with little spells like the dancing feet one. Well, let's see if she could still save this round...

Another pair of identical spells would bolt across the piste, only one of the Incendio Duos was different than the other: Opeila's was larger, angrier, more voracious. The Slytherin dodged the Ravenclaw's flames, and her own found their target, hitting Callie with an altogether different sort of suffering. Most Incendio would bite and be gone, scorching skin for just a moment. This one caught the fabric of her robe and crackled on, clearly not keen on going out so quickly. The pain seared her left leg with the familiar odor of burning robes.

It was almost going too well to be true. As Callie regained control over her body, Opeila's tension reached a new height. The Slytherin saw her opponent's spell before it could hit her and stayed out of its way.
Opeila herself once more jumped over her shadow, casting the best firemaking spell she ever had. Flames with a strength she didn't even know she could conjure exploded on Callie's leg and for a second Opeila could just stare at them, stunned.

Things seemed to be going from bad to worse rather quickly. So badly in fact that Callie found her mind drifting elsewhere. Ever since being kebabed by that pesky spider life had been rather...strange for Callie. Her rotten luck in this duel only served as further proof of her misfortune. It was almost as though an all seeing, all knowing...dice bot was actively hampering her efforts...Action: As strategised.

The Ravenclaw duellist fought on through the fire and the flames, though her Slytherin opponent remained fast on her feet. Both cast the Knockback Jinx, with Callie's clipping Opeila, whereas the returned spell hit straight on. The snakelette was sore but otherwise in good shape. Battered and burning, the eaglette was looking worse for wear, though didn't appear keen on giving up or going down without a good fight. Cries from the crowd around them fueled the scene with an urgent energy.

Opeila was doing just great. Her spells found their target precisely every time while she managed to evade one after the next.
When her knockback jinx hit the Ravenclaw, Opeila hesitated for a moment. Had she knocked Callie out? Was it over?
No.
It wasn't.
Opeila had not expected the knockback jinx that flew towards her in the next moment and moved to late. The spell clipped her, sending the young Slytherin stumbling backwards a little.
Her opponent didn't look like she was going to stay on her feet for much longer, Opeila was surprised that she still did anyway. She could feel with the Ravenclaw, as she had been in that position twice in the past- it was not pleasant.
Please, just give up...
