Henry watched as Alexa took a cookie from the girl before whispering something to Henry about Alina leaving. He shook his head a bit as he whispered back " no clue hopefully she's alright through," Henry then smiled toward the new girl as Alexa asked a question toward her and even through he wasn't hungry and not a big sweet person Henry still took a cookie from the tray as he muttered "thanks," before listening to the girl talk about herself and nodded a bit to let her know that he was listening before watching Alexa take another cookie which allowed him to chuckle a bit.

Loki already had major trust issues with others so he was still peering at Paige unsure about her as he jumped from next time Henry back to the seat next to Alexa, the cat definitely liked the red head.

Henry smiled a bit when he heard that she liked wolves being a werewolf himself but he didn't mention that to the two girls instead he would say " your in good company then because their are loads of muggleborns at Hogwarts. I'm a pureblood but I never cared for blood status so if you need any help than you can always ask me," Henry offered the girl a smile before continuing " I like books to, what genre's do you read? I also like music and animals to that's why I got Loki here really," Henry pointed toward his feline friend.

Alexa saw that Paige was embarrassed after Alina left, and mentioned something about it probably being because of her. "Oh, no," Alexa said, "Don't worry about it. It wasn't because of you! She must've just thought of something all of a sudden." She hoped to reassure the new girl.

Then Paige was talking about the things she liked, and Alexa heard that they apparently had several things in common, with reading, animals, singing, and surprisingly, wolves. She loved all animals, but wolves were exceptional animals, above and beyond so many others. They truly amazed her, and she had read a lot about them growing up in the non-magical world. "It sounds like we have a lot in common!" Alexis smiled at the other girl. "We were just talking about stuff that we liked to do, and I also really like reading, animals, singing and wolves! They and Peregrine falcons are my absolute favorites. Oh, and horses, of course!" She added, thinking of her old horse Blossom, and wondering how she would fare this school year without Alexa to love on her.

"I've also read a lot of Muggle fantasy and so on, because I am Muggle-born as well." Alexa mentioned. "My favorite books are the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and The Hobbit." Alexa turned to Henry. "I already know about some of your favorite things to do, but what are your favorite animals and books?"

She smiled at Henry. "I'm glad to hear that I'll be in good hands." Paige shifted in her seat as she became aware Loki looking at her. She started braiding some of her hair. It was a nervous habit. She had a fidget gadget at home, but she forgot to pack it. It usually helped with her ADHD. When she didn't have the gadget, she braided her hair. She never knew why.

"I like mystery, adventure, and books that include imaginary lands." She smiled. If she knew about this place before hand, she would of thought it was imaginary as well. Now she really didn't know what was real and what wasn't. The next thing you know, non-living objects will be talking. Or... unicorns are real. Or dragons. Dragons better be real. "Wait, are dragons and unicorns and talking objects real?" Her face turned red. She covered her face with her hands. "I really just said that aloud, didn't I?" She waited to be laughed at.

Ahh, Paige, why? You are such a geek. Paige rubbed her temples as a headache began to form. I'm not always a geek, I just geek out sometimes. Sometimes? These people probably think you're weird. Paige snapped out of it. This happened some times. 'The first sign of going crazy is talking to your self. Of course, the last is painting your self orange and sticking carrots up your nose.' This was a quote from one of her favorite books, The Train To Impossible Places. It helped Paige know she wasnt going crazy. It was a silly joke, but it made her feel better at least.

She turned to Henry after Alexa asked more about him. If she wanted to know people, she was going to have to pay attention to these kind of things.

Hearing Alexa reassuring the first year year that Alina didn't leave because of her, Henry thought of doing the same thing as he spoke " she said she was saying hi to a friend probably in a different house so it's not your fault like Alexa said," Henry smiled toward her before glancing his eyes back toward Alexa and her green eyes as she spoke.

Loki stretched out before laying down next to Alexa, letting his paw rest on her leg but also occasionally look over at Pagie with what seemed like a observant eyes as the conversations continued in the compartment.

"Dragons are real, there's different species each with different genetics. And Unicorns are also real, if you want I can let you borrow my book on magical creatures?" Henry replied to her question before looking back at Alexa as he heard her speak of her favorite books and animals before asking Henry.

Henry unaware traced the cushion of the train with his right hand or hand closet to the door probably due to his social anxiety as he sat in a way that he could face both girls before speaking " well uh my favorite animals are probably wolves, bowtruckles, dragons, moon calfs, nifflers, horses, foxes, and maybe a few others," giving each a smile and forgot that he said four magic creatures that the two might not know about before continuing " and my favorite books are the chronicles of Narnia, fantastic beasts and where to find them, alchemy, quantum physics, and maybe a few others."

Henry gave the both a small smile, he knew he was a geek so he didn't care if they said anything as he continued to watch his orange cat.

Alexa smiled at Paige, noticing her embarrassment. “Don’t worry, I felt the same way you do last year. People were telling me about hippogriff’s on the train, and I was clueless! Yes, all of those things are real. It’s amazing, isn’t it? I love the magical world!” She smiled at the new girl and then over at Henry.

She saw Paige rubbing her temples, and wondered if the other girl was okay. “Everything okay?” She asked, kindly.

Alexa turned her attention back to Loki, who had placed a paw on her leg to get her attention. She smiled at the handsome kitty, and began to stroke him again. “Sorry, I got distracted,” she whispered to him, giggling. She wondered if the others had heard her talking to an animal, and she blushed slightly. Oh well, better they know now that she did talk to animals!

Henry elaborated, explaining more about dragons and unicorns to Paige. He was so nice, Alexa thought. Clearly conscious of others and caring. She blushed again and smiled down into her lap, her hair swaying forward to hide her face momentarily while she gathered herself. Then she looked up again into Henry’s blue eyes as he answered her question. He listed off several animals, a few she was unfamiliar with, but didn’t quite catch this time in order to ask about them. It was nice to be around a fellow animal lover!

“I love the Chronicles of Narnia!” Alexa blurted, turning slightly pink and her outburst. Man, why couldn’t she stop blushing?! “What about quantum physics interests you, Henry?”

She looked at Alex's with a slight smile forming on her lips. She was totally blushing. And it was noticeable. She knew she was a stranger, but this girl needed to know. She took some parchment and a quill from her pack and wrote a quick note.

Okay this was getting... awkward. No matter how badly, like really bad, she wanted to make friends with these guys, it was getting harder by the minute. Like, super duper hard. Alexa just kept turning it back to Henry, her obvious crush. Henry was cute and all... but just not Paige's kind of guy. And Alexa clearly liked him already. Henry tried to talk to Paige, but no.

With a silent fight in her head she decided to give these two alone time. She was just taking up space as the annoying first year. "I'm fine." She said in response to Alexa. "But, um. You guys probably have um... second year stuff to talk about or whatever. I'll just be off. I'll see if I can find another cart." She doubted she would. They were probably all taken by now. Maybe if she gets yelled at for Standing in the hallway, she'll say she had to go to the bathroom or something. Yeah, yeah she could do that. She yanked her luggage off the rack and carried it out with her. These second year were probably done with her, anyway. She was tired of trying to fit in their conversation. "Bye."

Convincing @Paige Chase to stay with @Alexa Mackenzie

Loki sat up and seemed to enjoy the attention that he was getting from Alexa even through he didn't purr like normal cats to show his affection and still was giving the others a observant eye as he was watching the conversation to unfold.

"You like the Chronicle of Narnia to? Who's your favorite character? What do you think of the plot? How would you find the wardrobe or would you? Uh sorry- Paige any favorite books?" Henry replied and hoped to stay silent after his rapid questions about The Chroniclesbbn of Narnia but when he heard Alexa's question, Henry thought for a moment before speaking " I always enjoyed muggle mathematics and science it just seems so fascinating to me you know. Third year I want to take Arithmacy but ancient ruins and care of magical creatures sound blood amazing to as well as muggle studies, do you know what your taking next year Alexa?"

Although he was then distracted when Paige said she was leaving and said bye to them both although Henry gave her a smile as he spoke " oh bye but you can stay if you want? Really, were sorry if we forgot about your or talk about things your didn't know about Paige."

“To be honest, I haven’t finished the series yet! So far my favorite character is Lucy,” Alexa said with a smile. “I think I would find the wardrobe the same way, by hiding in it! For me, it would’ve been a cozy place to read with a flashlight.” She turned to Paige. “Have you read any of the Narnia books? What kinds do you like to read?”

Henry seemed to know a lot about what to expect next year in terms of classes, but Alexa knew very little outside of Care of Magical Creatures, which she definitely wanted to take. She told the two of them that. “Other than that, I don’t know yet! Not Muggle studies for me, coming from a Muggle family… Yeah, I really don’t know! What about you Paige?” She didn’t know if the other girl had any magical experience from growing up, but guessed that she didn’t from her earlier comment about dragons and unicorns. Alexa had felt the same way last year.

Paige discreetly passed her a note, and when Alexa read it, she turned even more crimson. She blushed that everything, not just because she had a crush, and it was something she hated. To have it pointed out hurt a bit, but she could also see that Paige was feeling hurt and awkward herself, heading toward the exit. “Oh, you don’t have to go!” Alexa cried out. “Sorry for talking about the wrong things. What would you like to talk about?” She asked politely, wondering if the other girl would stay after all.

"Wait Paige, were sorry if the conversation wasn't making you comfortable but please stay and what do want to talk about," Henry spoke trying to pursue the first year to stay in the compartment with Alexa from what he was hearing. The twelve year old felt horrible that she
leaving, he knew how difficult and lonely it could be at Hogwarts as a first year and only wanted to help. But to see her leave from something that he did definitely didn't sit right with him so he was trying his best to convince her to stay, hopefully Alexa was to and from her words it definitely sound like she was to.

When she left and Henry stopped his pleading with her, the boy would turn back to face Alexa before speaking " well I feel horrible, I hope Paige is alright. Should we go after her maybe?" Henry would look around before his landed on Loki who was stretched out next to Alexa on the seat before the boy would move his glaze to her bright green eyes something that felt rather comforting to the twelve year old before he would ask her " so what now?" The boy didn't want to move and liked being with Alexa but he wasn't sure what they should do now.

Alexa watched as Paige disappeared into another compartment, and frowned slightly. She was very disappointed in herself for having inadvertently run the girl off… She knew exactly what it felt like to be a first year with no friends, and yet she had been so focused on Henry (it was hard not to focus on him, honestly!), that she had not paid enough attention to the other girl. She felt bad, but at the same time frustrated. She and Henry both have tried to convince the girl to come back, but Paige just ignored them.

And then there was the note that she had given Alexa. Of course Alexa knew she was blushing! She couldn’t help it, she blushed everything. Whether because of a… Crush… Or not, she constantly flushed in social situations. She didn’t know how she felt about the other girl pointing it out… But her feelings weren’t exactly positive about it, which was extremely rare for Alexa. She usually thought well of everyone.

When Henry said that he felt horrible and hoped that the girl was all right, Alexa nodded in agreement as they closed the compartment door and returned to their seats, now just the two of them. The train chugged along, getting into the Scottish countryside already as the sun began to set. Only a little bit longer before they arrived. She wondered how older students got to the castle: first years crossed the lake, but what did everyone else do?

When Henry asked what now, Alexa shrugged uncertainly. “I’m not sure. I don’t think we should go after her… I know she heard us, so I don’t think she wants to be here. I feel bad, though,” she said, shaking her head. Then she returned to the conversation they were previously having. “I think we were talking about Narnia. My favorite character is Lucy, though I’ve only read the first three books. What about you?”
