Mentioning Alina Rosier and Lucia Fox
Open to other interactions!
Eyre told her that his siblings were all Ravenclaws and Slytherins.
“Well, actually most Springhalls are Ravenclaws. I’m the first badger ever, and my brother’s——ah, he’s a fourth grade——the first lion I guess?” She answered. “It’s good that my family don’t really care about which house you are in. I have two fellow badgers that their family wants them to be in Slytherin.”
She referred to Alina and Lucia. It’s said that Alina ran off away from the Great Hall after getting sorted, and Lucia asked their head of house if he could keep the secret for her. The Rosies and the Foxs seemed all worried about their children if they weren’t in the house they “meant to”. But Lindsey thought this worry of those pure bloods was lame. Very lame. The Springhalls never did things like this.
“So...where are you from?” Eyre asked.
“Kensington, if you mean by my birth place and residence.” Lindsey said, smiling. “And you please?” She added politely.
Kensington’s the best place in London, nope England ever. Thought Lindsey. She liked her residence there, among plenty of muggle houses in a muggle community. Even the old man (or scientist, as he called himself) next door seemed not that bad when she’s talking about her home.
“Hey Lindsey,” someone said to her.
Lindsey turned around, and noticed it’s Zykeal. They’d met a couple of times before, and this lion seemed nice.
“Oh hi Zyk.” Lindsey waved back.
He seemed knew Eyre too. Well, the Gryffindors seemed all together.
She turned back to Eyre. She suddenly remembered her question about the word “scientist”.
“Um…hey Eyre. Do you have any ideas on what exactly a ‘scientist’ is?”

The Professor of Divination sat on her pillow as the children filtered around the wide open space, staring dead ahead with statue-stillness, as if she had been in a glaring contest with a basilisk and had become petrified in a permanent scowl. Sitting on a blanket in the park was not how she spent her time, ideally, but she did enjoy giving students the opportunity to meet her outside of the classroom. Especially younger students, who she could goad into taking classes in her subject. Wherever Elspeth had gotten her information was perhaps an unreliable source, as right now the professor looked anything but pleasant. It was difficult to notice that in the low light, however, so the poor Ravenclaw @Elspeth Gollens had no warning at all about what she was in for when she approached.

The seat across from the professor was empty. Professor Kibitzer lifted a hand to gesture to it, looking left and right across the field, making sure she hadn't missed anything that young Elspeth had caught. "I don't see a line. Do you?" she said, looking over at the girl. Hands in her pockets, keeping her distance. What was it about her that made her seem so unfriendly? Rosalind wondered. She could see a few students eying her from the sidelines - @Dealla Prince found herself as the unfortunate target of the professor's gaze, and she could tell that there was a glint of recognition in the old woman's eyes. She had remembered. "Come here and take a seat before there is one."

With her first subject in front of her, the professor organized her implements. But the method at the front of her mind was one that required no implements at all - just a willing participant with at least one arm. From where she sat, Elspeth had a surplus of the required supplies, and Rosalind reached out over the table, offering her hand for the girl the rest her own on. "What's your name? Show me your hand and tell me what you'd like to know."
Interacting with @Elspeth Gollens, mentioning unfortunate @Dealla Prince. Room for spectators or others who would seek their fortune at the table, as well.

Adonis couldn't help but grin at her excitement. "Glad you're excited to hear about it." He then presumably followed her back over to their blanket but before he could sit down, he looked over at the blanket next to time towards his tentmates. "Be right back real quick." Don told her, holding up a finger to her before walking off towards his fellow tentmates.

After making his over to Zykeal, Dealla, Ileen and them, Adonis stuck his hand in between the second year Gryffindor and Ravenclaw and towards their bag of jelly slugs to pluck one for himself. "What's u- OH strawberries too? Don't mind me if I take some from you generous people." Adonis said teasingly as he also grabbed a few strawberries for himself to eat. "Anyways, I'm off now! I'll see you lovebirds and wingmans back at the tent later. Hopefully it's more chill this time." Donnie was referring to Zykeal and Dealla as the 'lovebirds' and everyone else as the 'wingmans'. As for the chaos? That was a throwback to their first night together when Rafael instantly chucked a some decoration on the coffee table at Aurelia and all hell broke loose right after that unfortunately. Fun times though. He then walked off towards the picnic table they all originally got their food from and snatched it off of the table, carrying it back to his blanket for him and Katrina.

He then plopped himself back down on the blanket beside Katrina with a wide grin, opening the basket for the two to let her take or make whatever from it with what was inside if she so chose to. "Back to Italy!" He clasped his hands together. "There's plenty of things to do in Italy. My mom's side lives in Riva del Garda next to Lake Garda. Their manor is right next to the expansive lake, so we have our own like private beach. Anyways, there's this really nice trail that I like to hike called Bocca Larici and it has a beautiful view at the end of the entirety of Lake Garda, the mountain ranges, and even being able to see Malcesine. The city life in the town of Riva del Garda is to die for as well. In a different region of Lake Garda, Malcesine is a colorful town is helped with a spectacular castle, which is best climbed at sunset to enjoy a stunning view of the lake and the town. I also usually visit Venice and Rome too whenever I'm there via Floo powder, so we can do that if you'd like. The structures there are amazing and there's the Coliseum, Barberini Palace, St Peter’s Basilica and St Peter’s Square, etc. Venice is more city-like in a sense rather than the touristy and capitol city that is Rome." Adonis went on in full-length about the array of things there were to do or see there and he most likely could've kept going in listing more but wanted to spare her all of the details. "So yeah! That's what there is to do in Italy and much more, but I'll let you decide." He said with a shrug and a grin, grabbing another bag of jelly slugs to open up and begin eating.

Despite having stood in line because she specifically wanted her fortune told, something about being called on made Elspeth uneasy, as if she'd half expected another student to walk up and insist that they were, in fact, waiting in line first. But no such savior appeared, so she walked over and took a seat on the poof in front of the professor. She couldn't put her finger on what it was, but something about the way that Professor Kibitzer held herself made Elspeth wonder if, perhaps, she'd already managed to annoy her. A nervousness twitched in her belly as she extended her arm across the table, laying her hand palm up. She spoke while gazing at the lines in her hand.

"Umm, I'm Elspeth. I just finished my first year. I was, I was wondering if you could.." she trailed off for a moment. When she'd been standing in the grass looking over, it was clear to her that she was looking for something. Some kind of answer. But now that she was being asked to produce a question, she was at a bit of a loss of how to phrase it. People are going to start lining up soon, so unless you want all of them watching you talk about being a scaredy pants you might want to spit something out now. She cleared her throat, "I was wondering if you could tell me about when I'll start to feel... better? I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time with- with words. Um." She sighed, furrowing her brows. Stumbling over herself wasn't how she'd wanted this to go. "I went to the Blossom Ball. Not for a long time. I just went in when I heard someone was screaming. To try and help. But I'm not very good at magic... This isn't-important. What I'm trying to ask is, when I was there I saw someone," she paused again, this time not because she couldn't find the words but because thinking about it at all always seemed to take her back. Like she could smell the smoke in the air again. "I saw something scary. And I was wondering if I'm ever going to feel better again. Or, when I will... feel... better." Saying it all out loud felt very silly. This was almost certainly not the place to ask a question like this. She was worried people around her (were there people around her? she couldn't tell from where she was sitting and wished very badly that she had eyes in the back of her head so she could sense their presence) were listening in and thinking she was crazy.

Finally, she looked up and tried to meet the gaze of the Professor. "Maybe that's not... the best question for now, though. Ummm. I'd also like to know if I'll ever be rich?" The eleven year old felt very out of her depth. But, at least the weather was nice?

Mentioned: Professor Lian
As much as Maria liked the outdoors during the day, she loved them at night too. There was something about the peace of nigh time that Maria liked, how sounds were always clearer, and the world more peaceful. The stars were pretty too, like the rest of the area they settled in.

Star chart in hand, Maria decided to look around before settling down to look at the sky. The full moon illuminated the night along with the red orbs that were conjured around. Picnic tables, and picnic blankets, complete with picnic baskets were also in abundance. Clearly, the organizers did not skimp on the food. The young badger made a quick note to secure a sandwich later on.

Several other students were already checking out the telescopes and settling down. She also spotted Professor Lian looking comfortable on a large rug waiting to tell stories. That would also probably be fun. Walking on, something else caught her eye. Or rather, someone. It was one of the more “mature” teachers, (mature meaning old) one whose class she had yet to be in. The woman had greying hair and high cheekbones. She sat on a blanket, another student with her, reaching her hand out. Illuminated by candle light, Maria could make out the crystal ball, a deck of cards and a jar full of something she couldn’t quite distinguish. She then concluded that this elderly lady must be the Divination Professor. But what was her name? The girl’s mind scoured through her many memories at school to come up with what the woman was called. It started with a K…sounded kind of like kibble? No, it was a little more than that. Kibble… something that sounded like… seltzer? Kibitzer! That’s right, she was Professor Kibitzer, and she was the American, if Maria recalled correctly.

With her interests piqued, she made her way over to the table. Divination was something she had yet to witness in real life, so it was intriguing to see it now. As she approached, she could see the Professor’s face better. She looked stern and wise, probably a little strict, judging from the frown lines. Caution would be best around her, the young witch decided. After all, you don’t want to get on a teacher’s bad side. Meekly, she approached the two, at the table stopping a little bit behind the other student. Her eyes were full of wonder and curiosity. The student’s hand was now in Professor Kibitzer’s hand and she asked questions. Cautiously, Maria approached to get a better look.

Tryna solve a problem like Maria.

"I'm from Bilbrook. It's a tiny village in the Midlands, not much there on the outside, but there is a large pureblood community in the outskirts." He explained. He opened up the chocolate frog to examine what the card was on the inside, the treat jumping down from it's package before freezing into position on the blanket. Gunhilda de Gorsemoor. An old friend. He remembered when he accidentally put a pin through her head when he was younger when he decided to hang his chocolate frog card collection all over his bedroom walls. She, and all of the other cards, had been moved to a Folio Magi years ago, and was probably unhappily collecting dust underneath his bed at home, but it was still a rather tragic memory. He wondered if any of them had still stuck around.

He put the card inside of his sweatshirt pocket before picking up the chocolate and biting into it. Chocolate frogs, even though they were objectively a lot more creepy than the slugs because they actually moved, were still delicious. While he was chewing, the girl had asked him if he knew what a scientist was.

"A scientist?" He asked, covering his mouth as he chewed so that the girl didn't have to see the chocolate in his teeth. "...Mmm.. Some sort of muggle science thing. They try to figure out facts about the muggle world, but they're also anti magic. At least, that's how I understand it. Why?" He took another bite of the treat. Although his muggle-born friends were able to enlighten him a bit throughout the year, he was still pretty clueless about most muggle affairs. His parents did a great job of keeping that stuff from him, and he hated that they'd done that to him.

one morning this sadness will fossilize and i will forget how to cry. ☆

Dee was still internally debating the pros and cons of having to face Professor Kibitzer again in exchange for a fortune telling, when a cold shiver ran down her spine, as if someone was watching her, as if someone was walking over her grave, as the mother of one of her childhood friends had always used to say.
She twisted around on the blanket to look for its source, and found herself meeting the gaze of the one and only @Rosalind Kibitzer - whose eyes seemed to glitter way too knowingly for her to have forgotten about the relay race any more than Dee had.
Snapping back around to face the other direction, Dealla groaned. This was the worst.

Thankfully, distraction was soon provided by Ileen plopping down next to her, also equipped with strawberries.
Dee shrugged in reply and grinned, biting off a half of one of her stolen jelly slugs. "If not, they can fight for the remaining space," she said, her eyes wandering over the rest of her group. Maybe it would actually better for them to split up into smaller groups, with all of the tensions that were going on between them, but for some reason they had still come here as a group. Dee resolved to just enjoy the evening, the warm summer evening, and the fact that they were allowed to stay outside into the late night.

Zykeal didn't seem to have minded her taking about half of his jelly slugs when she'd been invited to take one, because it didn't take long until he was sitting down next to her, and placed the bag between them.
She snorted and shoved the other half of the jelly slug into her mouth. "Yes, I remember your incredible love for Astronomy and all things related," she responded, chewing. "But finding slugs? Where's your creativity, Mr Plane?"

Before she could provide more interesting things for him to find than slugs - how about dragons? Thestrals? Giant squids? - Adonis came strolling back over from where he'd been talking to his friend, but only long enough to steal their snacks.
Squawking in outrage, Dee threw one of her remaining strawberries at his back while he was walking away. "Get your own!" she called after him, then settled back down grumbling. "Also, what does he mean lovebirds, Opeila and guitar boy are still over there."

Speaking of... for a second, Dee contemplated her second to last strawberry, then looked over to where Percival was still standing. She wasn't going to lie, she had a ridiculous amount of fun riling him up. Since he seemed to have decided to dislike her no matter what, although she had repaired his guitar and he'd splashed more paint on her than the other way around, she was enjoying needling him maybe a little too much, but... it wasn't her fault that he couldn't get over it, right?
Before she seriously considered throwing it, however, she caught Ileen's gaze from the corner of her eye, and sighed in defeat. She knew her best friend wouldn't approve of her instigating fights on purpose, and it would be nice to keep the night peaceful for once. "I won't, I won't," she promised, with no further explanation. Ileen would understand it, anyway.

"Hey, if you ever come over, can you bring some more strawberries?" she called over to the rest of their tent mates, or whoever hadn't taken off yet to spend time with other friends like Adonis. "We've just been robbed." Not that she expected Percival to do her any favours, but maybe one of the others would.

Carolyn was usually very punctual person. Today however, she took a nap and it messed up her whole schedule. Carolyn never took naps during the day. It was extremely unusual. It’s because you don’t sleep enough, her brain reminded her as she was running to catch the bus. That much was true. She didn’t sleep well in new places, especially surrounded by strangers so it only made sense. Not to mention the never-ending mix of emotions. Excitement, nervousness, loneliness…she felt all of those at once. No wonder she was so tired.

“I’m sorry,” she said to the Head of her house when she finally boarded the bus. She was the last one to get on and as it turned out, the last one to get off as well. The second nap she had taken on the bus helped a little and Carolyn finally felt like she was finally ready for some awesome stargazing. She looked at her star chart. Hmm…maybe later. The young Ravenclaw did well in Astronomy class but she definitely wasn’t natural. Did she think space was awesome? Yes, definitely! But that didn’t help her store the information faster when it came to her brain. Still, she could appreciate the night sky without being able to name all the star constellations.

Taking out her sketchbook, Carolyn finally took time to look around. Other students were already spreading through the place and she definitely recognized some faces. Unfortunately, that didn’t necessary mean she had spoken with them in the past. After all, that’s why she was here. To make friends. But they are already grouping up. She sighed quietly, silently envying the other kids. Carolyn had troubles starting conversations with one individual at the time, there was no way she would try to do so with many people at the same time. Still, there was one very familiar face, exactly where her eyes landed on first. Elspeth! She perked up happily. It appeared her friend also wanted to learn more about her future.

Slowly Carolyn made her way towards her roommate and Professor Kibitzer. She wanted to greet her friend but noticed Elspeth looked anxious, talking with the older woman. Perhaps it’s not the right time. “I’ll wait my turn then,” she said in hushed voice while passing her friend, settling for a short wave instead of an elaborate greeting. She knew that face, Elspeth was struggling and she didn’t need to be stared at while trying to get her point across. And so, the young witch passed the fortune telling station and the first table next to it in order to provide the other Ravenclaw with more privacy then settled at the second table. Perhaps she could draw the beautiful night scenery in the meantime. The full moon might have been gone now but she had a good imagination to work with.

“Ah, a scientist lives next door…he’s the only muggle unfriendly to my brother and me.” Lindsey explained.
Mr. Harriman was old, single, and quite rude. Ed called him “Harridan” instead of “Harriman”. Although her parents told the two children to behave well, Lindsey knew clearly that they definitely didn’t like that old muggle too——he never liked the Springhalls after moving in the house.
“How many siblings do you have?” Lindsey asked curiously. “Is your family…big?”
She then thought about her own family. Their were ten Springhalls and two Linfields. Not very large. Thought Lindsey. It’s not very common in pure blood families, but that’s just the case for the Springhalls. Some girls had been after her eldest cousin Enjolras already, for he’s the “heir”——although there’s already no heir in the Springhall family——and really handsome and smart.
No one would gonna got Enj, Ed and Ferre away. Thought Lindsey. Her three brother and cousins were all extremely amazing.
“Um…sorry for asking, are you having a good time with your family?” She asked, a bit embarrassing. She hoped that Eyre would not felt bad for this question.
I just want to make it clear. Lindsey thought. For Eyre’s really nice and if he’s lonely, I’d like to help him out.

Adonis seemed more than happy to lead the conversation for a bit while Katrina floundered in her thoughts. Katrina plopped herself down and rose an eyebrow when he said he’d be right back and dashed off to talk to a few other people. Katrina tried to not think too much about that, it wasn’t like she thought he was here to only talk to her. He had other friends, like she did. Katrina paused her thoughts, was she really feeling envious? Of what? The fact that Adonis had friends? She bowed her head for a second shaking away her thoughts before leaning her head back to look at the stars.

Her eyes mindlessly traced a few constellations, their names and the names of the stars that made them up wandering through her mind. She spotted a satellite and followed it’s slow path across the sky. There was a flash of something, she turned her head to see the last of a shooting star trail. Adonis had been right, there were shooting stars. Well, there were bits of rock burning up in the atmosphere all the time, but it lifted her heart to simply spot one on this night.

Katrina was so invested in searching for more shooting stars that she didn’t hear Adonis head over. When he plopped down beside her, Katrina looked over and smiled. He had just been grabbing a basket.

Katrina dug around in it for a moment admiring the amount of food resting in the bin. She wasn’t really hungry, but as she hadn’t had lunch, she decided she should eat. No reason to spiral into the bad habits again. As Adonis began telling of Italy, Katrina made herself a small sandwich. White bread, turkey, Colby jack, and some lettuce. It was only one slice of bread, torn in half to make two sides, she really didn’t need the carbs anyway.

Katrina imagined all the places Adonis talked about. She hadn’t ever really been out of London before. “Private beach? Hiking trails? This place sounds like heaven!” Katrina lost herself in her thoughts for a moment, imagining everything they could do. “I want to do it all! I’ve never really been out of London besides my grandparents house in the states… but there’s no one around there and nothing to see but the sky. Which isn’t all bad, but I’ve only seen pictures of Italy

The Gryffindor sighed, “I still have to wait another whole month?! How am I going to last that long?

When Adonis opened another bag of the Jelly Slugs, Katrina smirked. “I thought you’d learned your lesson,” she snatched yet another of the gummies and plopped it in her mouth, smiling as she finished up her sandwich.

I saw a shooting star while you were gone. Not sure if there are going to be any more though.” Katrina said this as a throw-away observation, mind still imagining everything to do in Italy.
