Alex would have arrived just one minute before the class started and had since then started making notes of what the teacher said. Once the instructions were given he put all of his focus on learning the charm. Whilst some people thought that charms were not good for dueling (his ambition) Alex disagreed. Charms were extremely varied and even the simplest charm could give an edge in a duel. As such he tried as best as he could to learn the charms he was given, which now was the Leviosa charm. Mostly a trivial one but even in the hands of a fool with a brain inside his or her head it could be used to surprise an extremely clumsy opponent, somehow>
Alex looked down the shaft of his 35,4 cherry wood wand towards the feather and got a focused expression and as he often told himself he would need Concentrations, determination, imagination and power to achieve any goal. Thus he used all of these things to first use the traditional flick and swish which had been done by thousands of wizards and wizard and witches before him and would be done by thousands after him. Then he (after a few 2 dozen tries of course) correctly pronounced the charm "win-GAR-dee-um-lev-ee-OH-sa." And then watched with instant gratification as his feather ever so slowly started to rise until it was about as high as his head and he tried to do a couple of more complicated tricks but found he did not have the control yet and it simply fell uncontrolled or rose uncontrolled not doing what he wanted to do. As such Alex slowly tried to improve his control on it but it as a gradual affair and in the meantime he watched the other students.

Aliea tiptoed into class, quietly settling down into an empty seat. Stealing a glance to her professor, she sighed in relief. Looks like he hasn't noticed. It seemed like students all around her were trying the Wingardium Leviosa charm. She looked down at her feather, and sighed. It's been a long while since I practiced charms. My mom did mention it'll be important. I should study, once this class is over. She took out her wand, and remembered Mr.Ollivanders' saying on her own wand. "30.7cm... Cherry wood and dragon heartstring. Seems pretty cool." She mumbled.
Aliea looked towards her right. A boy was watching his feather float around his head. Her gaze moved down to his robes, and name tag. Slytherin. Alexander Varellion. Hmm. Seems pretty friendly. I should talk to him, once I get this charm right. As she readied her wand, she exhaled. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Only the tips of her feather had risen, but the core of the feather had remained on her desk. She sighed. "I knew I needed more practice. Wingardium Leviosa!" She said in a louder voice, but slowly.
The feather first trembled, but managed to float. Aliea pointed the tip of her wand higher, and higher, in tandem with the feather. The feather finally stopped near the ceiling. Aliea flicked her wand once, then twice. The feather didn't seem to budge. She sighed. "Yep. Definitely needs more practice." She flicked her wand once again, and the feather began to float down, back onto her table.
She was willing to practice a few more spells, but decided not to push her luck. She was still unsure of how much she was capable of casting. She turned to the Slytherin boy. "I see from your name tag... you're Alexander, right? Alexander Varellion. Do tell me if I pronounced it right." She grinned, and glanced at his feather. "So, how long have you been doing magic?" She asked, curious about the boy.

Alex looked up surprised, he had been so concentrated on practicing the levies charm he hadn't noticed Aliea approaching him. But he quickly regained his cool and nodded at what Aliea had said "That's right and you are pronouncing it correctly, the last name is quite odd I know, it is based of some Latin name if I remember correctly but I don't know which exactly"
As Aliea asked about how long he had been doing magic Alex blushed slightly and rubbed his arms "Well I have of course been having accidental magic since my youth but I have only become aware of what magic actually was only a few months ago. Which was quite a surprise I hadn't expected to happen "
The feather that had been floating above him would now slowly fall down as Alex lost his concentration on it and focused his attention on Aliea. He also noted the wand that she held "You also have a cherry wood wand, cool." He would then ask Aliea a counter-question, a bit nervously so I might add "How long have you yourself been doing magic ? or at least known about it. I mean if you look at people who do extensive magic like fire whips they have probably done magic for a long time."

Aliea straightened as the boy Alexander regarded her. "Well, if you ask me, I've been doing magic for..." she trailed off, hoping to remember the exact date she'd set foot in the world of wizardly magic. With no luck, she simply replied, "for about three to four years. Haven't been doing for that long, exactly, so can't say I'm good at it." She fell into an easy smile, and continued explaining. "My mother was a witch, so I've seen her do plenty of spells. But I can only do the simple stuff. Simple charms and transfiguration spells, and a potion. Don't know any complex spells like 'stupefy', 'expecto patronum', or any fire whips, for that matter". She joked around, but sighed. "Wish I could be better, though. I knew I needed way more practice, but manage not to do them at all. God, looking at all these people doing so good just makes me want to study and practice harder."
She remembered that Alexander had said 'You also have a cherry wood wand, cool.' Glancing at his wand she noticed the smooth, red-brown wand. "Hey, that's nice. Same wood!" She exclaimed. "What's your wand made out of? Dragon heartstring? Phoenix feather? Unicorn hair?" Aliea managed to catch herself. "Oops, sorry. I guess my curiosity got the better of me. I get excited when I get curious, that's all." She explained. "Oh yeah, my wand is made out of Dragon Heartstring. Just saying." She added, out of breath.
She looked at the boy again, and spoke up again. "If you want," She looked more nervous now, as she looked away and tuck away at a lock of hair behind her ears. "I could always help, or even study together, in the future." She quietly exhaled and smiled at the boy called Alexander. It'd be nice if we could, actually. Haven't managed to make much friends, yet. And Alexander seems to be really nice. She looked up expectantly as she waited his answer.

Alex nodded once he heard her say"Wish I could be better, though. I knew I needed way more practice, but manage not to do them at all. God, looking at all these people doing so good just makes me want to study and practice harder." "Same here, you see people so far ahead of you and it gives you the drive to push forward and study harder so you can match them in skill.I myself try my best to come close, at least in things like DADA but sometimes it is hard to think how you can become better when there is such a huge gap between some people and others I mean I can list the spells I can do on my hand, mostly spells like diffindo, lumos or Wingardium leviosa. "
Once he hears the enthusiasm she had in asking question Alexander giggled a bit "Yes I know how you feel and I myself also often am liable to asking too much questions and being too curious. But back to the matter at hand my wand core is Phoenix feather. But dragon heartstring, that certainly is an interesting core if I may say so myself."
His smile would then grow even larger as Aliea suggested studying together in the future he would also rub his hands together in excitement and twitch a little bit "That would be cool, then we can share knowledge and explain things to each other if one of us does not understand. This would mean we get a superior exchange of knowledge and learn more and....." Alex then shut his mouth and blush a bit as he realized that he was once more starting to speak too much and get too excited about things that will happen. "But yeah that would be nice, to have someone to practice spells together with"

Aliea pressed down on the urge to whistle in admiration, as she heard that Alexander's wand had a phoenix feather core. "Yup, thanks. Dragon heartstring is cool, but that doesn't top a phoenix feather core! Wonder how they got that in a wand..." She trailed off in thought.
Aliea had bit her lip in fear of rejection. What do I do if he says no? It's during class, and I can't walk off like nothing happened! She tried to stay calm, and keep a poker face as she waited for his reply. Her face began to lit up as the boy's answer continued. "But yeah that would be nice, to have someone to practice spells together with". She smiled, keeping one side of the smile higher than the other, making it look lop-sided. "Well, that's great." She had forgotten all about her feather, and having to practice wingardium leviosa during class. Her mind started to race in excitement, on what they could do.
We could take notes during class, exchange them and have conversations on them! Or we could practice spells and making potions together! Or... Or maybe explore the grounds together...? Could use it as an excuse for gathering information on the school. Aliea's imagination started to get off topic, and she had to stop herself. "Umm... What classes do you take? It'd be nice to know... You know, to study together!" She realized she'd gotten loud, and cast a guilty look at the professor. She glanced at Alexander again. "Hey... Can I call you Alex? For... familiarity and for simpleness." Aliea blushed, gaze wandering back to her feather.

Alex would blush a bit at the compliments he was getting for his wand core "Thanks, and I imagine the soft part of the feather will be wrapped around the strong part of the feather. Thus making it a bit more vertical rather than horizontal. " He would also, quite similair to Ailea think about all the things he could do, since he didn't have much friends yet that would be ncie, someone to chat with and he could of course study a lot better and do lots of things that were cool, like exploring the grounds and the castle or learning cool spells together that he by himself wouldn't have been able to figure out, the possibilities were endless, oh and they could try duelling together it would be so cool and they could talk about cool books or spells. NOPE. ALex then mentally said, regain mental control and stay calm, it won't do to be all too energetic and not think clearly.
He would then talk once again in an eager and excited manner"Well of course for the first 2 years we must take all core subject but I am particulairily interested in DADA, Charms and I am a bit interested in potions, since I heard some of the spells had really cool effects felix felicis and......" ALex would then grow silent as he started he was starting to go into full talking mode
"And that's ok, but as long as I can just call you" He would then read Aeila's nametag "Ally" he said jokingly

Siege was later than the usual late that he would usually be. He walked in and everyone already was doing something...And he was not. Not that it bothered him, but he knew he was behind...He usually just uses what the teacher talks about as a studying point for him, but now...well that's not the case. His silent footsteps hit the Transfiguration class, unsure of what to do...Wait. He was sure, he was gonna slack off...
*Well...They've already started, so...I'll just ahem...Stay back here real quick.* As the boy would move to the back, hoping that the teacher won't see him. It was a pretty big room, quite huge for a classroom even.
Portfolios decorated the walls, each of them unique, and frankly was ignored by Siege. He didn't care about them at all, even if they were moving.
"Ah, let me see..." The boy would mutter as he pulled out the right book for this class. "Charms...Now let's see...Sounds really...I don't know? Weak? "Charms" what kind of name is that! Eh, well it seems to be pretty important...so..."
The boy flipped through pages and more pages, hoping to find an exciting "Charm". He kept flipping through the book, hoping to find one thing that would interest him, and that he would find, as he looked down upon the title of "FLAME FREEZING SPELL".

Aliea's eyes widened at the mention of the subjects. "Well of course for the first 2 years we must take all core subject but I am particulairily interested in DADA, Charms and I am a bit interested in potions, since I heard some of the spells had really cool effects felix felicis and......" "That's great! DADA is cool, so is Potions and Charms. But I like transfiguration, too. History isn't really my thing, and so is the Study of Ancient Runes. Although I'll take the classes." Aliea sniffed, wrinkling her features. She supposed she would take the lessons, for basic knowledge in the wizardly world. However she always ended up feeling sleepy, or almost nodding off during those classes.
Aliea grinned, her playful side coming out as she heard "And that's ok, but as long as I can just call you" She waited for Alex to continue speaking. "Ally." She smirked, and replied. "Oh, if that's how this is going to go, then I might just end up calling you..." She wracked her brain for a good name, one that would have a good effect in calling Alex. "Alexia!" She cried out in triumph. "Alexia." She repeated the name, nodding to herself. Then she burst out in giggles, barely managing to speak through the laughter. "Ahahahargh, I'll call you then when we meet up for studying. Alexia!" She breathed quickly, trying to recover herself. She felt more confident in talking to the boy, and wanting to tease him more. She smiled to her self. I really hope we can be great friends. It'll be beneficial to both of us. Besides, it's quite fun teasing him. Haven't got the chance to tease anyone, recently. She looked back to Alex, raising her eyebrows, all while having a playful grin on her face.

Alex would listen intently as Aliea spoke, carefully notinng and remembering what her favorite subjects are and which she was less interrsted in. But as Alex heard Ailea's nickname for him he would grasp his heart and get a look of mock pain on his face and would exegerate the voie of a pained knight. "Oh sweet lady pleast call me not by that name. It makes me sound like a girl and whilst I praise the kindness of the fairer kind I prefer not being a girl. I don't have many of the traits of a woman as I can say, though my hair is quite fabulous " Alex would joke with a smile.
"So please kind lady, let's just call each other the names that hast been give to us by our parents. It will save us a lot of trouble and pains, so please noble lady do not let me suffer the eternal pain of this nickame" Whilst he was doing this Alex was grining while he acted. He had not really had the chance to be a bit ridiculous reently and it was fun to not be the serious slytherin for once. It might not be advantageous from a strategic sense, acting like this but hey he was a child. He was supposed to have fun, not constantly plotting to gain an advantage. That could always come when he was older, for now it was time to goof of and enjoy.
