Lamik continued to watch the game with a lack of interest. The players flew around the field, zooming past at incredible speeds. Most of them blurred in together, the red and yellow not really sticking out from one another in the boy's eyes. The beaters beat, and the chasers chased, and the keepers kept, but in reality, Lamik couldn't tell what was actually going on. He simply didn't care enough to put in the effort. Instead of the game, Lamik spent quite a bit of time simply staring at the school broom laying on the ground in front of him.

Of course, there were two players who did catch his eye. The first was Evelynn. If memory served him right, this was her first time playing as the first string seeker, and Lamik was curious about how she would do. He winced as she was knocked off of her broom, knowing the feeling all too well, and sighed in relief once she was caught. The second was Saskia Nicholson, the opposing team's captain, and the person who had knocked the aforementioned seeker off. Lamik had no more interest in Saskia's playing then he did in anyone else's. Instead, his interest in her was a bit more... personal.

Well that definitely didn't go as planned. As Quinn cheered on his teammates he was also closely following the match. When Evelynn was taken out he whooped and hollered. However that was very short lived as just moments later. Fellow beater, teammate, and friend Reid Kovacs. Was also taken out. He couldn't be saved and therefore Quinn being the only second string beater available. Had to take the field much sooner than he anticipated.

Deep down he was happy and he felt bad because Reid definitely deserved to be out there on that field. But Quinn would make up for that by doing the best thing he could think of. Going out on the field to wreck someone's day for his friend. A fun if violent thought for him. One he was not ashamed to have.

Standing up he walked away from the benches grabbing his broom and quickly taking flight into the field to join his teammates. Quinn was tough and could take a beating. Hopefully that was enough to keep things going. With a wild grin he laughed softly joining the flying frenzy. Quinn was ready for some mayhem and fun. Hopefully no one would harbor any bad feelings for him after the match. It was all just a fun game in the end.

“Woo-hoo! Go, Atlas!” Serena cheered as Atlas blocked D’Spacito from scoring. The Chaser was surprised though when Atlas threw the Quaffle to her. Thankfully, not too surprised as she still caught the red ball in her arms.

Oh, boy. She could do this. Quickly flying over to the Gryffindors’ goal post, Serena raised her arm to throw the Quaffle in. But her nerves must have overtaken her, because, well, she threw it with not quite as much force as she meant too. The Gryffindor keeper quickly blocked the ball from flying through.

“Shoot!” Serena exclaimed. In her head, a lot more colorful words were said, but she didn’t dare say them out loud. She didn’t want house points taken away just because she missed a goal.

Serena tried to control her frustration. There would be other chances for Hufflepuff to score. She just had to keep her head in the game. Speaking of which, she heard the ding of a bell, signifying that the Lions had scored.

Merlin, this was not going as well as she thought it would. Looking around at the pitch, Serena watched as Evelynn and D’Spacito were both hit by bludgers. While Evelynn was rescued by another Gryffindor, D’Spacito wasn’t so lucky. He plummeted to the ground. Ouch, that had to hurt. But at least there was one less opposing Chaser now.

But things took a turn for the worse. One of their Beaters, Reid, was taken down too. They really needed their luck to turn around now.

After their Keeper had magnificently blocked the incoming Quaffle the leathery orb was tossed back into play and AJ had no intention of letting it fall into Hufflepuff hands. Multiple chasers were likely going to be racing for it but somehow AJ managed to swoop in and claim the prize, the first time he'd ever had possession of the Quaffle.

Wasting no time he soared as fast as one could soar on an old school broom towards the opposing goal posts. This was the moment of truth where the boy needed to perform or be judged. He took a hard turn left and feigned the appearance of being ready to toss the ball, hoping to trick the Keeper into guarding that way before the young Scotsman suddenly pulled up and tossed the Quaffle straight through the centre hoop. Miraculously the Quaffle sailed through mostly unopposed, ten points were now on their side. Certainly a turn around from his performance in the official match.

He regrouped with his fellow Chasers, still riding the high of actually scoring in a game of Quidditch, still aware enough to see his Captain's outstretched hand coming towards him, to which AJ swiftly delivered a crisp high-five. The boy grinned as the Captain praised him "Ya didnae muss by much Cap! Nex' teem roond ya go' thum." He offered a few brief words of encouragement before returning to the match at hand.

He was relieved to see the Co-Captain had been safely caught by Charlie. AJ was sure given the shiny new broom that the other Chaser probably would've preferred to be doing something a bit more glamorous but personally AJ was happy to see they hadn't yet lost their seeker.

The boy had only looked away for a moment when he head the familiar THUD of a Bludger hitting its mark just nearby, eyes wide, he scanned around for whom the unfortunate victim was and his heart sank as he saw the Captain plummeting towards the ground. He began to move to try to catch him but it was already far too late. "Jus' don' lund on yer urm Cap." He murmured some quiet advice before refocusing once more. They'd best get themselves in gear so that they had good news to deliver later.

Wren was determined.
The Gryffindor lions were going to win against the Hufflepuff badgers. They were just better in her mind. The lions were not afraid to get their hands dirty, to start blatching and things like that. While the Gryffindor teams were blatching (granted so far it was only her) the badgers were playing it safe. Yea, they were sending the bludger out but that was normal for a Quidditch game.

Wren attempted to blatch Teiki Laurent but at the very last moment, she succeeded in narrowly avoiding Wren. She started to fume. Now, she would have to take a penalty lap. Next time she tried something like blatching she would have to aim better. Aiming had always been a strong suit of hers but if you barely got it off you could miss completely.

As she flew her penalty lap, she thought of all the ways that she could get at the Hufflepuff team. She was a person to hold a grudge. She was still holding a grudge against a girl in the muggle third grade for pouring pudding down her shirt. She probably should let that go but she couldn’t let off how the whole entire class had laughed at her for that. This whole Quidditch ordeal was bringing up bad memories, but when her team scored a goal her whole thought process, ‘flew out the window’ as her mom would say, and she screamed
“YES! GO LIONSSSSSSSS”
She could overdo it sometimes but she thought a little team spirit never hurt anyone.

Reid was so focused on the bludger he was aiming towards Rafael that he didn't notice the one coming for him. His breathing slowed, his eyes felt so locked onto the student that it felt like tunnel vision. Like he practiced so many times in the lake, he hit the iron ball with a surefire precision right towards the captain. Though he wasn't able to relish in his victory before he saw something in the corner of his eye. Even as he slightly jerked his broom, the beater was hit right in the chest, knocked straight from his broom from the blow.

Pain wasn't the only way to describe it, this was the first time he was hit by the iron demon so there was a tinge of fear in that small second. It caused him to choke slightly and his grip slipped from the shaft as he was sent falling with his back first. His consciousness slipped even as the wind screamed in his ears rather violently and the last things he saw were the following; blue sky, crowds, and then the sand below. Upon impact, he landed and felt something horrendous course through his body. That was the nail in the coffin as his vision went dark.

Passively Interacting with @Atlas Reid
As soon as the game started, Aaron was locked in on Rafael. Perhaps he was bolstered by the cheers of his name from the stands, but the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain was the first to lay hands on the quaffle. Aaron raced after him, but his school broom was clearly being pushed to its limits. He was still several yards behind when D'Spacito took a shot at the goal. It was pure skill when their keeper Atlas Reid plucked the ball out of the air and stopped it from going through the goal.

"Nice catch!" Aaron shouted, pumping his fist in the air. With this being his first time actually in the air for an actual game, he was inexperienced and didn't realize there was no time to be shouting words of encouragement or jeers. Just his support of the keeper was distraction enough for Serena Bowen to get the Quaffle next. Of course, it was a good thing that Hufflepuff still had possession of the ball, but Aaron had yet to get a chance with it. He was quickly realizing that in an actual game, you needed to keep your eyes focused and your mouth shut. Congratulating teammates on their plays could wait until after the game.

As Serena flew to the Gryffindor hoops, Aaron played support and flew beside her. When she fumbled, he made a play for the ball but was bested by a Gryffindor chaser. Aaron gritted his teeth as the Gryffindor - AJ MacAllister - made a play for the Hufflepuff hoops. AJ scored. Aaron groaned. 10 points to Gryffindor.

Aaron's eyes immediately sought out the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain, knowing that he was probably gloating even if it wasn't his goal. There Rafael was, smirking directly at Aaron. The expression on his face was infuriating, and it was so clear to Aaron what the egotistical maniac was thinking. He was thinking about how much better he was, and how-

The twelve-year-old's mouth fell open. Rafael D'Spacito had just been knocked clean off his broom. It was shocking for Aaron to witness the moment of impact while up here in the air. It was different from watching in the stands. Aaron winced when the Gryffindor captain fell to the ground. There was a part of him that was cheering on the inside, because this clearly proved that Rafael was not as perfect as he bragged to be. And it had certainly wiped that smug look off his face. But a part of Aaron was terrified, because he had never felt the wrath of a bludger himself. Of course, he was no stranger to being hit hard because of Taekwondo competitions, but a ball of iron seemed like it might make more of a lasting impression. And yet another part of Aaron was excited, because if he stayed on his broom he would prove to be better than Rafael. At least for this game.

Aaron shook his head and looked around for his own Captain. Saskia Nicholson was doing her job and targeting the Gryffindor seeker at the moment. Right. He needed to get his head back in the game. This was his chance to prove that he was better than Rafael. He would avoid any bludgers and make goals, two things Rafael had failed to do this game. In fact, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain would probably be out of it for the rest of the match. Too bad he wouldn't get to see Aaron shine.

Aaron Jones flew back to his position and prepared to continue playing.

As Atlas hovered in front of the hoops she adjusted her gloves to make sure they were secure as she tried to keep tabs of everyone on the pitch. She had dove headfirst into danger in the past but there was something about this that made it so much different. Perhaps cause she was one of the most competitive people she knew or perhaps it was the fact she wanted to prove herself as a first-year reserve but whatever the case, her heart was keeping a rapid pace in her chest as she floated in place.

As soon as the game started Atlas watched as Rafael quickly snatched the quaffle and raced towards her. This was it. Atlas gripped her broom tightly and watched for any sudden movement as she quickly swooped up blocking Rafael's attempt feeling a rush of adrenaline as she tossed the quaffle to Serena.

She heard Aaron congratulate her as a smile appeared on her face. Nodding to him, Atlas turned her focus back to the game as she watched Serena miss the goal as the Gryffindors were back in possession of the quaffle.

MacAllister raced towards the hoops as Atlas could feel her heart in her throat as she sped to try and block the throw to no avail watching as the ball flew over her head and into the goal. The first points of the game were because of her as she felt her enthusiasm diminish. No...have to keep the momentum up. She thought to herself as she took a deep breath in and shook her head trying to lift her spirits as she realized she let her team down.

Stay positive. Stay focused. You can do this Reid She continued to reassure herself as she leaned forward on her broom watching the rest of the players squirmish. In a furry of action, Atlas witnessed Reid Kovacs being dropped from his broom as well as Rafael D'Spacito while another Gryffindor almost met the same fate.

She could tell Teiki had seen the snitch as she quietly cheered for her under her breath so as not to distract her. "You can do this Teiki. You can do this."

But she needed to stay focused so she wouldn't let the Gryffindors score again as she resituated herself on her broom breathing slowly and evenly to keep her focus and cool.

As the game set itself in motion, Saskia took the time to observe the field. Most of the Chasers had headed towards the quaffle, but she had another task to focus on. Raising her bat above her head, she turned towards her target- the Gryffindor Seeker. She didn't personally know her, but she did know that she was the second-string Seeker of the team. This time around, she would have been on the playing field instead, replacing Lamik. She hoped she wouldn't take it personally if she lobbed a bludger her way.

As soon as the iron ball flew close by, she swung her bat. But she decided to be smart about it this time. As much as she wanted to put her all in the attack, she also wanted to make sure the bludger actually hit. It would have been a useless attack if it never got to meet its target, after all.

The bludger sailed towards the Seeker with enough precision to knock her down. She was saved by another player, although with a glance around her surroundings, she could see that the Gryffindor Captain himself wasn't so lucky. And apparently, Reid wasn't either. With a grimace, the Hufflepuff glanced as the third year fell, guilt creeping in. They were down a player now. It was up to her to make sure they would have won this match before anyone else went down too.

May saw how Annie Morgan go to the Quiddich pitch and mount her broom. May was still cheering, but, her cheeks were red, and she couldn't breathe properly because of the dense air and her lungs, and throat, all dry. She coughed a few times, but dot stop cheering. Wouldn't even dare to stop cheering for her team on such a important day.

Gryffindor was in the lead, but not for much longer. Well, she hoped. She cheered for Teiki, but she seemed a little bit lost. But there it was! The snitch right in front of her! May cheered even stronger, now her face even more red than before. She just had to stop a little bit and sit on the bench. She still had her Hufflepuff Quiddich robes on. Her school broom was on the floor, near her.

May cheered for the captain, and Hufflepuff chaser. Saskia Nicholson was almost knocked out by a bludgeon, but another Hufflepuff player saved her. May applauded even harder.
The Gryffindors were back with their possession of the Quaffle. MacAllister was reaching towards Reid's hoops. May could only pray that the Gryffindors wouldn't score. She cheered for Atlas, and kept seeing what was up with Teiki. Oh, she was still going for the snitch. "You can do this Teiki!!"
