"I'll stay in the Common Room if you are, it's way too early for bed.", he didn't want to sit on his own and made it clear. He would stay up as long as Lennox stayed up with him.
He thought about the riddle for a second, coming to the same conclusion Lennox had, at the exact same moment she said it.
"Hey, I was going to say that!", Joey exclaimed playfully, feigning annoyance, pleased they had both come to the same answer.
As Lennox had not made any motion to go through the door, he assumed he was to go first. Stepping over the threshold, he instantly felt the transition from the cold, dark corridor to the warm, bright Common Room - he hadn't realised how cold it was the other side of the door. It hadn't even been a cold day.
Despite the Common Room being warm and inviting, he almost wanted to step back outside again - there were other people in there. He had enjoyed it being just the two of them sat in the Great Hall and wanted to spend more time alone with her, even though he hadn't realised there was nobody else there until afterwards. He turned back to Lennox, as if he was inviting her inside.
