Backstory
Craig Stine, a man who once went to Durmstrang for his youthfully studies. Now, he's teaching at one of the schools that most seem to rival. It was unsure why, but making a mockery of it was what Stine loved to do. A mockery of his school he hated growing up. What all did Durmstrang provide besides endless pantsing and wingardium leviosa on the wrong things. Embarrassment was all he felt growing up, and when time finally came for graduation, he left the school of depression.

He had no true friends, his parents died his first year of Durmstrang, no one wanted to adopt him, so the Headmaster looked over him and attempted to make sure that he was well fed and taken care of. He was well cared for by the House Elves there, even if the students then treated them so badly. Stine tried to avoid it as much as possible, but it seemed to be utterly impossible. When the school year started or started back up after winter break, or even just spring break, the Charms and Transfiguration professors there were at least nice enough to provide new clothes for the boy. Those two were like parents to Stine.

So when he left, sure he hated it all, but, he still had a desire, a longing, to stay, to be with his professors, but it was the second Wizarding War at that time, and it was a really bad time to stay. He packed up his stuff and set up a portkey to MACUSA in the United States, got approved my MACUSA to live there, and now teaches at Illivermony, as the Charms and Transfiguration professor. The two classes are pretty much the same, aren't they? He was eager to see the students when they come in. However, the man does speak Swedish as his primary language. If he happens to speak to people in class with his accent, or even switch over to Swedish rather than English, just know it's perfectly natural.
First Instance of Magic
It was in the midst of his humiliation at home, right before he was coerreced into coming to Durmstrang, before his family died. Bright lights shone in his room, and it scared, or rather, shocked, Stine awake. His ten year old body not used to sudden light. He was so scared by that as a matter of fact, that he screamed one word out in Swedish, "NEJ!" And that seemed to be what it took to shatter the light, bringing only natural sunlight in as his eyes fluttered awake. What he saw was his dad picking out glass pieces from his skin, looking at the boy in his bed as if he was scared. This wasn't normal. Not to his dad. Not when his dad had a different way of his first instance of magic.
