Unsure for Ava's question, I can answer the potion one.

Here's the link to the potion system. In general though yes, you can. There are three main methods potions are taken. Some are gaseous (as in they are inhaled), some are digested (have to be drunk), and some are contact (meaning they have to touch your skin or body). The best example is burning paste, a paste you apply to a wound on the skin and not eat.

Firstly to edit the size of an image you'll have to do it off-site on a website like pixlr.

Secondly, yes but you would still be Cassie, not some new character. You can definitely dress up and pretend to be another character, much like students in the errand 'Books Books Books'.

Thirdly, what do you mean by this? Do you mean between dormitories within your house?

Students are free to switch dormitories though out the school year. Being a mentor or prefect does not give you special dormitories - they would still share the same ones as the rest of their house. Being a mentor is an OOC role and IC the only thing a prefect role gives you access to is the prefect bathrooms.
