aww,im so sorry to hear that. we both know you didnt have any fault here. parents tend to judge without listening sometimes, im so sorry that happened to you. if you wanna chat to clear your mind,im just an owl away.

So basically its my second day of my job and i fell asleep for 10 minutes while working, the boss found me asleep and woke me up, asking if i was okay i replied 'yeah' and now she just emailed me to talk to me tommorrow.... im quite worried cause i really dont wanna let her down or get fired.

I don't think she'll fire you! I think she'll ask if something is going on at home or something

I hope everything’s alright! I’ve nearly fallen asleep before at jobs, so I know the feeling. But, don’t stress yourself out. You were only just recently hired. You’ll be alright! She’ll probably just ask if everything is alright and about your sleeping schedule.

It's alright, getting tired is not your fault, and she'll probably understand. I mean, she hired you for your talents and skills, so I don't think a short nap like 10 minutes will get you fired.

so - not really here for comfort but more for advice + to hear y'all's thoughts + opinions etc.
As some of you may know, i start college next week. I get dropped off on thursday, and my family will be thousands of miles away, legit across the US from me.
I spend the summers across the country from them, but this is a much bigger step in my mind. I know 100% that i am making the right decision for me, and my parents know that this will be exactly what i want and need. I still am attempting to figure out how to deal with all the emotions thought, and this is where i wanted advise. How do y'all who are in contact with your family but living away from them, how do y'all deal with being homesick? or how do y'all make sure you stay in contact amidst your busy life and theirs?

Baileyyyy, you're going to do so amazing at college and this is a really big step, but you're going to learn so much at college and i'm so happy for you. (I do not currently live away from my family but I have spent a few weeks away from them so here is my advice):
-Try and facetime/call/text/video call your family members when you have the chance (especially during the first weeks when you feel more uneasy)
-Find out if you have any extended family members or family friends who live closer to your college's location, if you aren't able to go all the way home for holidays/breaks, these people can be a great resource
-Exchanging pictures or updates about what's going on with your family is always nice, I always do this when I'm away from home for longer periods of time
-Honestly just bringing a scrapbook or memory book with things that remind you of your home and your family can do a lot of good when you feel homesick
