I understand how you feel. I’m the middle child and my older brother isn’t so great at times. He tells me to leave all the time.Nero Jade-Huntsman wrote: 28 Jun 2025, 02:48 Hello.
It is currently storming in my area, and lightning is flashing.I find it reallynpretty, and wanted to share something. My sister interrupted me probably about 5 times, saying she didn't care. Eventually my mom told me to drop because my sister didn't care.
Then, while we.we're at the light, She started bouncing her leg, which moved the whole car. I do this often, so asking her to stop would have ended in both my sister and my mother telling !e I could say that because I do it all the time. Despite the fact that I kinda did it to myself, it still hurt.
As much as I want to talk to my mother about it, my sister would just tell me she doesn't care and order me to leave her room and her alone. I think my mom might just say something like "she didn't care, and I didn't want to listen to her do that" or "just ignore her" neither of which would help, really.
If there's any advice anyone would like to share, I'm open wide.
When that happens I either go on here or write about it. Writing makes me feel a whole lot better. If there’s anyth8ng you like to do, colouring, drawing, writing, singing, then maybe do that and get your mind off of the problem

Generally, my suggestion is - you cannot control the actions, thoughts or attitudes of others but you can control your reaction. If she does not care, something that she has the right to feel (or not feel one can suppose), that is on her. Her choosing to vocalize it is also her choice and it will effect the relationships she has with other people including you and also the general vibe. If you are sharing something you are excited over and she says "I do not care", well that is sad for her. There is nothing you can do to make her care or share your passion, trying to will only frustrate you or diminish your own experience. The answer is simple, "well that is just too bad, this is pretty neat." Take pictures, live in that moment, share it with friends or those that share your passion.

Heya, me yet again. This is a small thing but i just need to get it off my chest to be honest. So right now i am on holiday with an all inclusive with my family. We have only been here for 3 days but my mom has managed to mention weight about 7 times, like "try not to go overboard", or "watch how much your eating" or "really dessert again?". This is really irritating and i swear to god if she says ' a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips' one more time i'll actually loose it. I just don't know how to politely tell her that yeah ill try to keep it in mind but i also wish she'd just let it be, like ok i may gain weight but is that the end of the world?! And this isnt even the first time shes done it, like i feel like mom is always making a snide comment about weight or skipping dessert
Ik shes looking out for me, but the way shes commenting kn weight is really frustrating and i just dont know how to tell her so she wont get offended....,
Thanks for reading my rant. Lol.

I’m so sorry this has happened to you! It’s so frustrating when people act like they think they know what’s best. You’re on vacation and should get the chance to have fun and splurge a little without feeling bad!Emiline Hunter wrote: 11 Jul 2025, 03:02 Heya, me yet again. I don’t know what you could say to your mom kindly, but don’t take it personally. You’re a different person and everyone is different. Yet again I’m so sorry this is happening to you! That isn’t fair at all!

This is another small tangent from work - and along the way, do permit me to give you all some trivial but well-meaning and important general advice for anyone interested in a few broad household tips.
Advice first... My friends, please remember to take your rubbish out frequently. And use bin bags/liners to put the rubbish in, not in the actual bin container itself. And if you're already doing that, congrats! Keep at the good work!
Because unlike you hygienic heroes out there, I've spent the whole day cleaning kitchens where the rubbish hasn't been taken out and was left to gather in the corner by lazy students. Without using the black bags we provide them. All day, I've felt rotten (pun possibly intended?
) and the kitchens smelt foul. And because it was left there for what I presume a good week or two, there's a whole legion of flies about the building. So now I've spent 5hrs feeling like something's crawling on me or something's stuck in my hair.
Take your rubbish out between 1-3 days. If it's an open lid bin with food in it, take it out as soon as possible. And please use bags to put it in! No one wants to have yuck stuck to their bins... Me for instance!
It keeps the room clean but also smelling fresher than raw food and takeaway leftovers
And it reduces the chances of fly-infestations!
Advice number two... Please clean your dirty dishes as soon as possible after using them. Some people might let them steep in hot water before rinsing them and that's fine! Just remember to clean them up and put them away afterwards
Again, for everyone already keeping tidy with their pots, pans and plates, well done you!
Again, these students have left week/longer than a week dishes standing. Dirt and food were caked on them and didn't help the fly situation. Nor the smell. It means it's hard for me to get at the counter top and spray it down. Not that I feel that good about moving them all to the side in a giant unclean pile. It's just a bit depressing seeing one half of the kitchen a mess even though you've done your best to clean it. Does that make sense? Obviously I've done my best to get around it without moving them too much whilst ensuring the kitchen is actually clean. But there's only so much you can do when every surface is dominated with dirty dishes. Never mind the rubbish!
And finally, advice number three, which is a nice jumping off spot from my last point... Please sweep the floors regularly! Between dirty dishes and mountains of neglected rubbish, that will affect the state of the floors. Simply use a brush, sweep the floors and put it in the bin. Voilà! Because old food stuffs, wrappers and stains make it difficult to get out when you're on a time crunch. It also means your feet aren't sticking to who knows what on the floor!
I reward a gold star and an Emmi hug for everyone looking after their living spaces. Unlike you guys, I've felt rather nauseous and off-feeling after cleaning those kitchens earlier because these students can't clean up after themselves. I've gagged and coughed plenty of times today because my word... Those were rough to clean. And even then, they weren't all fully clean because I've ran out of time trying to do the stairs and de-clutter their rubbish, which is more time consuming than it should be, but it is...

I’m not posting this for advice since there’s nothing I or anyone else can do in this situation, but I am asking for you guys to pray. One of these things has been happening since the beginning of this month, but I’ve held off until now from telling anyone until I found out more information.
Basically, as most of you have already heard, a couple days ago a close family friend had a bad heart attack and he’s now in the hospital. My family was over a day’s drive away from home and we were unable to see him. We received news this morning he is doing better, but I’m not sure if he’s out of the hospital yet. My family is home today, so we’ll hopefully also get to see him.
The other thing isn’t easy for me to say since there’s a lot of history about this that I don’t want to get into in a public area since it’s very personal. Basically a family member of mine (I won’t say how he’s related for privacy reasons) disappeared around July 4th and we haven’t really been able to talk to him. He’s an adult, so he can handle himself, but it’s really been hard on my family. Please pray for these two men since they both have a long journey ahead of them.
