If anyone wants to know the story behind Cel's eyes, it's, uh, super complex based on her history, but nowhere as cool as Rowan's story :sweatingbullets: Cel has heterochromia, which is supposed to represent the divide between her past before her obliviation and now. IC nobody really knows where her green eye came from, since her biological mom's eyes are brown and her biological dad's eyes are grey-blue, but her stepfather has green eyes despite the fact that there's no passage of genes between them. It was kind of there so that Cel could be mistaken as her stepfather's daughter,  but it's kind of developed into a symbol of her self-doubt, because even though Asher is out of her life, he's still kind of a lingering idea for her, and it's a bit of a divide between her blood family with the Grays and her past. Her brown eyes come from her mother, but she's got eye freckles in both eyes, kind of a contrast to the linkage back to her family, because literally she doesn't know anyone who has those. Over the years her eye color will [spoiler alert] change a bit. Honestly a big part of it depends on whether or not Dori appears out of the void this summer.

Oh, shoot. I swear I knew about your heterochromia. I just... Yah know. Forgot entirely until you just now brought it up. ALSO WTH all you people have these fantastic deep symbolisms behind your eye color. I bow before the sheer quantity of deep thought you put into your OCs appearance. Like holy heck.

I'm going to have to start paying attention to people's eye color now, I swear. I never really thought about it.

Haha, Koko's eye colour represents her personality. She can seem, well, terrible, but gold... In a way it represents her changing personality, though they do usually shine gold. When they're greenish, she's usually feeling a little jealous, when they're blueish she's feeling slightly more emotional--so most people shouldn't bother her if I describe them as having a blueish tint, unless they want an enemy. When they're their usual gold, she's feeling triumphant, or just not feeling much. They are usually gold because she always wants to triumph over everyone. Just a little bit of symbolism...

Lol I think half of us are doing what Rowan did--I did have a little bit of Cel's eye color background from  before but the details were mostly spun out just now. All I really had of it before was just the division symbolized by her heterochromia, mostly just caus I don't want to be one of those people who goes 'omg this character has different colored eyes because it's COOL and EDGY."

After all, if you're describing her eyes then they're probably already in a thread with you, so it wouldn't make much sense for them to just up and leave because she's getting mad. Plus, I have a feeling most of the people on here would want to go toe to toe with whoever steps up to the plate

In my experience, there are very few who actually leave a dangerous situation. Most make their OCs dangerous enough to compete with just about anything you can dish out. I think most of the student body knows how to stab with a knife, for example.

My character's eyes are a deep dark-blue like her parents. I don't have an initial reason why except that her house is Ravenclaw and I wanted her to have an eye color that would complement her hair and skin tone. Honestly, her most defining trait would probably be her smile because she has a small gap in between her two front teeth.

What are your character's defining physical or personality traits? Do you have a certain reason for that specific trait?

Huh. Let's see about some other physical traits... Cel used to have dyed hair ends (credit to my sister for inspiring that one lol) but she grew it out and cut it for several reasons, one of which is because her stepmother is like hecka traditionalist, and also because she herself doesn't like them that much. Not that much symbolism behind that one other than another representation of her evolution. Her regular hair is super thick and kinda frizzy when she doesn't care of it, which is pretty much always, so if you need a mental picture of how stressed she is at the moment just look at how messy her hair is, because she's usually not feeling calm enough to take the EXTENSIVE time to brush it, which is a great feeling btw for the people who don't have long hair.
