I mean for the chamber of secrets you can owl an admin if you have a solid storyline (such as in cooperation with the asp), you can get temporary access. Not sure about other houses though, I don’t think they’ll allow that.

For Chamber of Secrets you can only gain temporary access if you can get a Parselmouth to take you in there. You need to get OOC permission and also IC permission from them. So technically, you can't really try to 'break in' to the Chamber of Secrets. The only way in is to get a Parselmouth to take you.

Regarding this, I worked out something for my thread with Aurora. He would try to break into the Ravenclaw house via the owlery without realizing it was the library.
