FAQ — Questions
It depends on what you and the other person decide on OOC to have happen.
Rolls decide whether you are able to get the cast off and whether your spell hits your target.
Everything else is decided between you and the other player.
If you're the one being hit by the spell, you can decide how minor/major the impact was.

Like within reason.
You can't go flying backward and crash out a window and keep flying backward forever.
It has to make a little sense at least.

FAQ — Questions
Personally, I’d base it off of the stats. For example, Dave has ten ArcPower so if he cast a spell on someone, I’d assume that they would get knocked back quite a few feet.

FAQ — Questions
I have actually done something similar to what David mentions, blocking off certain stat ranges and then coming up with a short description of their power. Here is my example one for the Strength statistic:
0-4: likely weak or else not used to lifting, young or else just under a condition in which they are not as effective as they could be

5-11: Very good at manipulating their own body weight. May not mean good at heavy lifting, but can manage in dire circumstances

12-17: Strong. Likely lifts or works out. Can carry with ease or else hold their own in a fistfight

18-22: Obnoxiously strong. Will likely break bones on contact without meaning it.

23-25: They could probably give you a concussion or knock you out altogether on their first well-timed hit.
Doing this can help you develop a better idea of what your character is more or less likely to do/how they are physically built to deal with certain issues. It's also a lot of fun and lets you be highly creative in the process.

For the Tempest Jinx, does the damage for each lighting strike or all of the lightning strikes?

@David Howard each lightning strike that hits the target does the full damage.

@Oliver Brown, to add to what has been said, you don't need to use rolls in your private threads, nor do the effects have to be consistent with your stats. People like to do that, but in the end what Opeila says holds: As long as you and your partner are both okay with it and it is not completely unreasonable, you can decide whether your spell succeeds, whether you hit, and how strong the effect is freely. Even someone with weak AP could produce a particularly strong spell every once in a while, a lucky cast. Just keep in mind that if your RP your character in a way that doesn't match the stats you gave him, he won't hold up to that in moderated threads such as sports or balls, which might be frustrating for you (and or him).

FAQ — Questions
Quick question about homework in general, I am currently working on some, and the professor hasn't written in the rules the usual rule I see about answers being 50 words. Does that mean I don't have a word count and can write however much unless otherwise stated?
