Actually I'd like to suggest something minor about avatar. I do understand that sometimes it can be difficult to find pictures that 100% fit or satisfy our want; and this is also why we have the avatar help service forum.

However, would it be possible to encourage players not to change avatar too frequently? If it's just something minor like the background colour for instance, that's perfectly fine. On the other hand, it's kind of frustrating to try to describe one's RP partner who keeps on changing faces very frequently - as an example, his FC may be Tobey McGuire today, Andrew Garfield next week, Tom Holland in the week after, and then a comic illustration of Peter Parker the following month.

I know adult Metamorphagus may have this ability, but especially considering that most characters are young students, changing one's avatar too frequently is not only confusing for other players OOC but also does not make sense IC.

Thank you for taking time to read this and for your consideration.

2 Ideas, I know nothing about code or anything, so I have no clue how doable these are, but I think both of them could be useful.

Idea 1:
A way for you to see homeworks that you have drafted but not sent in. I know we can see undone homework with (-) or (!), and submitted waiting to be marked as (?) and obviously the grade, but is there a way to put in (...) or something so that we can quickly see which homeworks we have started on but not actually sent in?

Idea 2 :
A way to mass donate chocolate frog cards. Like maybe a way to enter card numbers xyz, then donate to your desired person. I've traded/donated a couple big batches of cards lately, and I was thinking that would be helpful. Also, semi-related, a chocolate frog trade tracker? Something you could click and it's like "You gave Anastasia Beckett G1 on 01/01/0000 at 00:00 am."

Long story short, I survived

Those both are totally up to Zach to develop and create.

My greetings,
I hope I don't come off as super ambitious or as if I'm stepping on anyone's toes with this suggestion. It was just a thought I had some time ago and wanted to share it here in case it's something currently in the works or that it could be taken into consideration.
I'm sure everyone is aware of the fact that the vast majority of the characters on the site are students. This leaves, (in my opinion/as far as I know), little space for the adult characters to build further relations outside Hogwarts walls. Has there ever been the idea to have users on the site have a separate account to use as their graduated, adult character? This could also help to fill the numerous jobs found in the wizarding world, making it more immersive and also opens up possible roles for events that take place on the site. It doesn't have to be accessive to anyone on the site if you think that'd become excessive - maybe a competition of some sorts and reward the winners with a new account separate from their student one?
Apologies if this is overall impossible to make - I'm not aware of the limits the site has. Or if this idea has already been implemented, or declined before.
Much gratitude!

There is a plan for adults, but not in terms of making secondary accounts to fill in those roles. The school is the development priority but it is my ambition to expand this to the wizarding world. However adult systems are not developed yet and the intended experience is the school and growing up. Does this mean 8+ years of RP until you can see an adult? Possibly, we are not sure yet. But before adults can be considered in terms of routine roleplay the student experience (dueling, quidditch, broom racing, the various school. Really, the meat of the experience, needs to be developed. We have an incredible influx of players each day, there is no way we could handle doubling accounts. To give you an idea. Look at your profile, those numbers at the end are your character number. I was the 623 account made on this site, my student 145. That means that there were 144 accounts made before my student was made on this site. Now, look at yours... 24360, meaning 24359 accounts were made before yours. Indeed, not all of them are active. We get in validations over 20 new accounts a day, depending on the day really how many and we have maybe double that made but they never bother completing the validation process so are ultimately pruned. Once on the site, not all of them stay but we have a lot of players that are active (you can see in the Index how many bothered to get a trunk) but we have a lot of players that simply play forum games or flit around on the site without bothering with Index at all or they simply participate in our Discord.

So, short answer -- no immediate plans for adults. The adult experience is a consideration for community members but we are not actively developing that as there are other projects in front of it.

It'd be really useful if you could get a notification (via remembrall) when a mod edits one of your posts. At the moment, you're just stuck checking the post every five minutes to see if they've edited it yet. (for things that need approving - iNPCs, abilities, races, ect).

I am not sure how, but that would be convenient. Just not sure -how- they would get that one to work.

Following up on @Lucia Fox's suggestion.

Maybe if there was a button or something that the mod would press? That would have to be for Zachary to code, though. Which, understandably, takes a lot of time.

Is there a way y'all could make it so that we can read other Common Room's posts? Maybe a way where we could see something but not post anything? Again, I have no idea how any of the coding and logistics might work, but it's occurred to me that I do quite a bit of Ana's major threads in the Gryff Common Room, so I would love to be able to read people's posts from other houses who do the same.

is there a way to read archived common room posts? eg those in the dorms. as a fourth year, i have done many previous threads in the old dorms but theyve all been archived unfortunately after the dorm revamp which is really sad since theyre one of the first few threads that ive done when i just joined the site and I cant access or read them.
