I had the same problem. I wanted to get Nova a pet but she already had a cat at home. So I wrote a solo that her cat had passed while she was at Hogwarts. Now I'm getting her a PygmyPuff soon!

Ooooh. Nova's grandparents on her mom's side are trying to contact her through her mother without Nova knowing after no contact for a decade because they disowned her mother for running away. Does that make sense?

Nice! I love family drama! It's kind of why my iNCP's story is sooo dramatic and weird. You see, his mother had failing health ever since he was born and she was possibly schizophrenic, though I don't know yet, and she disappeared on his 5th birthday. After that, he refused to speak until his 11th birthday. 6 years without talking!
