We’re doing this writing contest in school, and my story was going to be one of two categories: flash fiction (500-1000 words) or short story (1000-3000 words). I realized early on it was NOT going to be flash fiction. The short story is supposed to be for students who like to write with a lot of flourish and detail, but I felt like I wasn’t even being that detailed and i was at over 1000 words before they even started the quest! Now it’s at 2774 words!
Honestly, why do people judge? People need to learn to accept. To look past race, gender, age, sexuality, and appearances. To be open-minded. To give people a chance. To rid their hearts of hate and learn to love others for who they are. That is my wish.
