The reason we only have three fonts is because every device type has a different font that comes up for the 'same font' and some devices wont recognize particular fonts at all because a font needs to be programed for each device on the site to make sure what we have is somewhat the same between devices but not exact in any including typewriter.

I think I know what you mean, and Clark was right! I’ll just give a simple table example.

I've got a question about staff application:
is there also a prerequisite like for mentorship, that you need to be on the site for 6 months or more? or need to have registered with index with your current character?
(I am sure that it would help to show reliability of course, but is it a prerequisite?)

and if one became staff, does that mean that the original character is deactivated and one is only the staff person then?

I'm gonna answer the last one because I'm not sure about the others.

If you mean by became staff= like an adult... (Professor, HoH, Headmaster, Assistants)- then yes, the former account is deactivated- leaving the student account open. But if you're applying- and you're a student- and you get the role, you get to create the adult character via validations and all, and when you decide to step down from that adult staff role, then your adult is deactivated iirc (though I've been told on few instances that older accounts are open still)

Your student will not be deactivated.

If you're meaning for like- Prefect... or a minor role like Mentor- no, you don't get deactivated. You play as that student. The StaffApplication thread has information on applications and all-I would advise you to check it out if you want.

There are right and wrong bits in that answer, so I'll go through from the start.

No, there is not a pre-requisite for profs, assistants and prefects. For Head of House you need to be staff.

No, you won't be deactivated if you become prof, neither when you step down from prof. Only the role would be taken away in the case that you step down, you would no longer have access to staff areas.
As a prefect you simply get the prefect role and accesses attatched to your student account.

Anyone may apply for staff but if you are wondering whether you are qualified, consider what you offer as a staff member. Do you have moderation experience in other sites? Are you responsible for groups of people/ upholding order in your job or extracurricular activities? Do you have large writing projects you've finished, or a collaborative project you worked with others on? These are relevant even if you have not been on site long.

All applications are read and considered, but there is little chance of being accepted if you have no qualifications and no history with anyone on site. Less so a prerequisite, good activity and interactions on site are proof that you will be available and be mature and responsible. If all they have is your word, then what reason do they have to believe you? A good application that shows an understanding of the job and what will be expected of you will go a long way, even if you are new.
