First off, I will defend this statement with every ounce of my being. Depsite popular belief, Freddie Mercury WAS NOT GAY. He was BISEXUAL. Although he often kept quiet about that, he identified as bisexual, although sometimes I actually consider him pansexual due to his taste in relationships.
Second, the song performed on the scene showing their tour (Fat Bottomed Girls) was not released before Bohemian Rhapsody (Bo Rhap was released in 1975). Fat Bottomed Girls was actually released in 1978 on the album Jazz, and therefore couldn't have been performed beforehand. Some people may ask "what if they'd written the song before, though?", and my answer to that is a big fat no. Don't believe me? Ask Brian May, who wrote the song.
Third, when We Will Rock You was recorded, Freddie did not have his iconic mustache. That song was recorded and released in 1977 on the album News Of The World. Freddie did not grow his mustache until 1980, when they recorded their album The Game, featuring songs like Another One Bites The Dust and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
Fourth, Freddie was not diagnosed with HIV until 1987, two years after their famed Live Aid performance, which is the time the movie claimed he contracted the disease.
Lastly, they actually removed two of the songs from the Live Aid performance in the movie. The actual setlist was as follows:
1. Bohemian Rhapsody
2. Radio Ga Ga
3. Hammer to Fall
4. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
5. We Will Rock You
6. We Are the Champions
The movie setlist is as follows:
1. Bohemian Rhapsody
2. Radio Ga-Ga
3. Hammer To Fall
4. We Are The Champions
If you watch the special version on Amazon Prime, there is a bonus clip of the full performance, which was filmed.
That, my friend, is the main things wrong with Bohemian Rhapsody.
