If I ever had a "bathroom and bedroom" it was often a shared one or conjoined.
What I mean is
When I would stay at the cottages as a child, I stayed in a room with 2 beds for two boys each room. We had a bathroom per bedroom though. But it was shared.
Growing up, I had the bedroom my parents took back in 2023, and it was conjoined by the bathroom with my sister's room, making it the second way to get into her room and into mine.

Now, my bedroom isn't conjoined to a bathroom at all, as the bathroom is on a whole nother floor.

I don't have any images of my cottage's bedroom
(they tore down all of the cottages to replace it with a DORM BUILDING...)
which it's convenient but like.. no? I don't wanna think about what my childhood would've looked like if I had stayed in what looks like an apartment building where everybody of all ages (as long as they attended school there as a student) shared that one singular building- from Elementary to High School, from girl to boy. There's one kitchen, a small dining area.. one small living room area and a tonnnn of bedrooms, two per bedroom.
Cottages were literally like houses. It felt like staying in a second home, just with boys your age (or girls if you were a girl) and every "school" (like elementary (k-5), Middle (6-8), High (9-12)) had their own cottage area. The elementary school cottages were opposite of the old elementary school but just up the hill. The middle school cottages were by the clinic (we had a building for that and not a small room!), and the high school was out where the old middle school building was before they turned it into many different things (it is now the new elementary school). Anyways, the cottages held up to basically 12 boys or girls each building with 2 cottage supervisors. that's about 3 bedrooms on each hallway (there were two and both had 6 doors each hallway, with the other doors serving different purposes.)
