Hogwarts' Got Talent: Showtime! Locked

The entire length of Jack and Ruka's performance AJ had been on the verge of a mild heart attack every time the flames flew a bit too close to something flammable. The last thing he needed was to be called into the Headmaster's office for running a show that had led to one of the castles rooms to be torched. Although, at least it was made of stone.

His concerns it seemed were unfounded as the two boys danced in an entrancing cascade of fire and fluid movement. Agility mixed with the ferocity of the flames they wielded in their hands. It was impossible for one to even take their eyes off it as it went.

Eventually though the pair wrapped up their most exciting performance. AJ didn't envy them, he knew he'd probably be exhausted if he was in their position. He quickly set about relighting the room so that the two could extinguish their torches.

He jumped back up onto stage, leading the crowd in applause for the fire-dancers. "Wull eh thenk uf annehwon deesurves som' wutter ut's tha two uf you!" He joked, casting an approving eye over them.

"Soo uh thenk I an' some oothur people un tha croowd need somethun' a tah culm us doon." He began, scanning the crowd as he spoke. "Soo we're gonna 'ave a quck untermussion, aboot tun munnuts or so. An' thun Muss Wullow Undursun us gunnae be doin' a neece but uf peentun fer us!" He declared, gesturing the crowd to enjoy the drinks and snacks laid out for them, and also to use the toilet if they needed.

Willow had been a ball of nerves up to this point. Especially after watching her incredibly talented friends go on before her. Flash, a surprisingly spectacular singer, with his voice full of emotion and power. Ruka and Jack, people she wouldn't exactly call friends, with an incredibly fire dancing performance. Although, it did stress her out just a bit. Opeila's beautiful violin music. Willow could only hope that she could come close to the talent that they displayed. She quickly bounced up to the stage,, throwing on the pre-splattered apron on and tying it as well as her shaking fingers could get it. The canvas quickly went up onto the easel. A palette was pulled out with just two colors. White and black. For someone as colorful as herself this kind of color choice might seem abnormal. An opaque bottle was tucked into the apron though it's contents were unknown.

Without addressing the audience really, she took a deep breath, spun on her heel and pulled out a rather large brush to start. Streaks of black were painted across the canvas, quickly and diligently. It seemed as if this was more of a practiced dance for her. Her body moving and swaying to get the correct positioning and angles that she needed to get the bold strokes going the right direction. The white hadn't even been touched yet, although many brushes had been swapped out for the black paint to make smaller and more detailed lines. To anyone else, it looked like... a hot mess. There was also somehow black paint in her hair. Painting could get really messy for her.

Her brow was intensely furrowed while her motions seemed effortless. Her eyes dared to take a peek back at everyone watching her, with a small squeak of nervousness she quickly went back to the painting. Finally, the black was done. She stepped away for a moment to reveal just the first step before stepping back and putting the white that seemed to just kind of disappear onto the canvas. It wasn't adding or changing anything. With a proud nod after just a couple more minutes of daring strokes Willow put down the palette and stepped beside it, proudly beaming. "Aha, I'm just kidding!" She giggled and took the bottle out of her pocket and poured a light yellow powder into her hands before stepping in front of it again and blowing the powder out and onto the canvas. She quickly wiped the delicate dust off onto her pants and flipped the canvas right side up, as it had apparently been upside down the entire time.

What was revealed was a self portrait of Willow. There was a flower tucked behind her ear and a similarly bright grin on her face. It would be at this moment that if anyone were to connect the dots, they would realize the white paint was actually glue. Hence why it needed to be put on last for the yellow to stick to the canvas and reveal the art that worked in the negative space of the black. "Ta-da!" After a couple moments of leaving it up as she packed up the paints as quickly as possible, she made a small curtsy before moving the easel off to the side and skittered back to her seat.
