The Harry Potter Wikia is fantastic! It's damn useful for doing homework...
What copyright issues? I meant that a couple of people on the site who have time and like writing try to WRITE the textbooks. Then they are checked over, by the staff or by students who have proved themselves experienced, and then they are published.

Suggestion 1: Have the textbooks be bookmarks for certain rules posts. For example, click on "Hogwarts, A History" leads you to the timeline post. Alternatively, they could lead to a link to a relevant wikia article. The wikia articles especially. My HP knowledge is rusty at best. If there was a suggested set of wikia articles that could get players into the world as quickly as possible, that could be helpful.
Suggestion 2: Once the dueling system matures, have items provide stat boosts, access to certain spells. Example: a wand with a unicorn hair core gives +1 in something, weak to dragon heartstrings core, etc. Or buy a book, get access to some set of spells. I like stat systems and customized characters, so this would be really cool to see implemented.

I know what I said, but John's idea is WAY better - it's really fantastic, in fact! You could "open" your textbook and on each page, double page or in each chapter, there's a link to the theme of that double page so students can find the needed information.

As of right now, we are prioritizing the systems in place in order for them to work for both us and the community. The team is currently already working at full capacity, so this will be something that will be noted in the future. Once we are finished, we will work out the finer details and look at something like this to be implemented. This applies to the suggestions on items, pets, etc. But we appreciate the input.

Mandatory paragraph to help people know that you're not a jerk!:I'd just like to start by saying thank you. This website is an amazing place, and I just want to help it improve. I do not want to come across as nagging or immature.
Suggestion:
Can we have more ministry departments? My character want's to become an aurologist when she grows up, much like her uncle, and there are no places for that.
Another suggestion would be to open up more spots for people in the ministry. These would be NPC's, actual people, or just people to help out over the summer. These members would be listed on each page in the ministry, and make the experience on this website more realistic.

Classes suggestion:
Just a suggestion for classes to include a 'reward' or 'learned from' notation somewhere in the class information.
Eg: when a student completes herbology and learns incendio, the spell unlock/gain/attainment is noted in the class notes.
This would mostly be for clarification.
Staff: Approved

^ This would be helpful for me especially as I’ve been too lazy having trouble finding all of the spells/potions learned.

Continuing my point about wands from the bug report thread.
It's a shame that the original wand woods list from wikia was completely disregarded. The most popular on hogwarts.io are wands from cherry and chestnut wood. But the list even says about cherry wood that it's "very rare" and mostly popular in Japan. Most common should be larch, redwood, rowan, silver lime and walnut.
(Another point would be that Ollivander doesn't make wands with other than 4 standard cores, but I guess that's not a big problem; maybe he sells some wands that he didn't make himself, and more variety is always good.)
For this reason I suggest to readjust wood "drop rates", taking into account official lore, and introduce some opportunity to reroll your wand. I know that's a lot of effort, especially for a feature that's kind of working already, but... you know... wands are pretty important D:

Perhaps, on people's accounts, where they can edit, there could be a button focused on 'Deactivation'. This may be easier for professors and staff of the site since they are so busy
