Can I have some booze
"Alright, then."
Slightly disappointed his plan hadn't worked, Kaegen decided that he should probably just go along with their plan. He raised his hand, and distracted the bartender by ordering a butterbeer. He wasn't sure if he was the one who was supposed to do that, but he might as well. The slytherin girl was sneaky enough to go and grab some, wasn't she?
As he mumbled too quiet for the bar tender to hear, forcing her to lean over the counter to understand him, Kaegen's eyes darted to the other students. Had they started? He probably should have said go or something. Well, they would probably get the hint when he starts talking. Right?
His eyes start to look around faster. This had better not be for nothing. The innkeeper is starting to get annoyed. Kaegen just talked slightly louder, but not loud enough to be understood. How much longer could he keep this up before he just split and ran for the door? He really needed that alcohol, or more precisely, his ants did. They lived off of it, it helped their explosions be bigger. In the wild they got it from naturally fermenting gasses but here? Booze would work.

Cameron entered the pub and went to the counter ordering Butterbeer. Sitting down on one of the stools he observed what was around him. Seeing the other witches and wizards mingling and some that were drunk and spilling liquid when bumping into each other. Showed the laughter of the conversations. With loud shouts randomly and a few students about his age in the pub as well. He was delighted to not be alone or the single one. Cameron took a small sip of his butter beer and thought about the upcoming weeks that were ahead of him. He looked forward to Care of Magical Creatures in his future years at Hogwarts. Wondering what magical creatures he would be learning he wondered if his pet as well possessed any magical properties within. "Maybe." Cameron said to himself answering his thoughts. The person beside him heard him speak and gave him a rather look of, your crazy, then got back to whatever they were doing before. The looks didn't bother him as he got those often from strangers. Not knowing how he came off to others that noticed or interacted with him he thought of his actions and behavior to be normal. But to his family, un-normal.

Kendra had been mostly distracted by Pendragon and Claryssa had to get her to focus on their task. Kaegan seemed to understand what he ought to do but Kendra had a strong feeling he would get it mixed up anyways.
"Okay guys, here I go." Kendra said pulling her hood a little lower so that it could hide most of her face again.
She hopped off her chair and glanced at Claryssa and James once before turning around to spot her target. Taking some careful steps towards the empty table she could already hear the others distracting the bartender. At that moment she spotted the waitress looking around for empty tables to clean. "Oh no." she thought. If she reached the table before Kendra did that would mean no liquor for the exploding ants! They couldn't have that! Kendra's mind worked fast as she walked up to the waitress.
"Um excuse me, you are needed on table 14, they have been calling for you for more than 5 minutes. I just thought I'd let you know before anyone else does." she said trying to not sound like the 11 year old girl she actually was.
Ironically enough she thought it would be a lot easier if everyone she wanted to decieve were like Kaegen. Had she told him she was a leprechaun the boy would definitely dwell on it for longer than anyone else would. The waitress seemed bored more than anything. It was obvious that she hated her job and much to Kendra's surprise she just nodded once before walking towards the other end of the room. "Yes!" she exclaimed quietly as she made her way towards the empty table. She managed to snatch the bottle without lingering for too long and began walking back to reunite with the rest of the group.

Can I have some booze
Kaegen had run out of conversation material to softly mumble about after about 2 minutes of him distracting the waitress. Wait, why hadn't he gone to get the booze? She was going to look over at any second and Kaegen couldn't think of anything else to say. He had gone through his whole vocabulary, or at least all the words he could think of at the time. So, without knowing what else to do, he froze. He thought a bit about it, his eyes moving insanely fast all around, trying to absorb more information, and then froze his eyes too. It was time for the big guns.
The waitress was quite alarmed when Kaegen seemed to stop breathing, blinking or any other form of movement. He had been mumbling something to her just then, before he froze up. What was it, was he asking for help? Was he hit by a spell? She looked behind him and around at the guests, trying to find one with a drawn wand pointed at the boy. But couldn't find anything. She bent her head down beneath the counter, and started rummaging. She was looking for a all-around pep up potion.
Kaegen let his eyes flash to the side. That girl had done it! This was just about the best plan ever! For some reason the waitress had looked worried and ducked under the counter, which was weird. But lucky at the same time! Slipping off the stool he met the slytherin girl, and smiled.
"You were amazing!"
Taking the cup, he skillfully poured it into his hipflask. The alcohol in the flask started to bubble and churn and froth up, so he screwed the top back down.
He then turned towards the other kids. "Do you guys want to stay, or get out of here?"

Clary's heart soared. Her plan had actually worked... not that she doubted herself. Okay, that was a lie. She had definitely doubted herself, but there was no point lingering on that at this point. The Ravenclaw girl grinned, flashing her teeth for a moment at the gleaming bottle now in Kaegan's possession. Surely this would be enough to last the ant for a while, and they wouldn't be trapped in any more awkward situations such as this one.
Glancing over at James and Kendra, she waited to hear their opinions. In all honesty, Clary was all for heading back to the castle and curling up in the common room with a good book, but there was something about this odd bunch of students that made her long to stick together with them. With Claryssa's planning or at least willingness to help, Kendra's stealth, Kaegan's knack for getting into trouble, James' good natured personality and quick thinking, who knew what kind of trouble the little group could get into!
Considering the current situations at hand, Clary paused for a moment, contemplating her answers before announcing, "I think we should probably head out. We got the booze, and I don't want any of the lingering adults to keep questioning what a small cluster of eleven-year-olds is doing here." Plus, there were still tons of places she hadn't been able to explore yet at the castle! The common room was one of her favorites, but considering Kendra wasn't a member of the Ravenclaw house, they could always make do with somewhere else, and at the very least, would still see eachother around in classes and public locations.

Kendra couldn't help but smile seeing Kaegen's reaction to her success in taking the bottle. This little trip to the Leaky Couldron had been far more interesting that what she had expected after all. These Ravenclaws did have something special to them. She couldn't help but feel like she preferred them to the rest of her housemates but then again, she wondered if she was being unfair thinking about that. She also couldn't help but feel a little proud of herself as she had managed to contribute to a Ravenclaw cause without making herself look like a fool... at least not entirely, thanks to Kaegen's silly remarks.
"We should get out before we get ourselves in any actual trouble." she said eyeing Kaegen once more. "Next time, you guys should have a plan before storming in a place like that." she pointed out looking at Claryssa and Kaegen, knowing that James much like herself had only just met the two and was decent enough to offer his help. She picked up Pendragon from the counter and handed him over to Kaegen.
"I have a feeling you are far better with animals than you are with actual people you know?" she said to him.

Can I have some booze
Kaegen had already decided. Next time he was going to find out if asking for booze was considered weird or not before he did it. It didn't make any sense, keeping 11 year olds away from it. Who came up with this stupid rule?
"I did have a plan. I was going to buy some alcohol." As little sense as it made, Kaegen had to respect that he couldn't legally buy alcohol here. He would come alone next time, and just take some. He doubted any of the wizards here would be able to see him, they all seemed absorbed in their own drinks, their eyes hardly moved! In fact, it would be surprisingly easy for a dark wizard to just come on in and mow a few of them down, before anyone else even noticed. This made Kaegen a bit uneasy. Were the professors more alert? They were safe inside hogwarts, weren't they?
He put aside his worries for the moment, and answered the slytherin girl's question.
"I didn't believe my grandfather when he first told me there were other people besides me, him and my parents. I grew up with animals. I'd just much rather deal with a Ghoul then you." After he said it, Kaegen backpedaled a bit. Why was talking so dang hard? He'd get it eventually, probably, but for right now, he kept saying the obviously wrong things.
Was there a class on how to interact? He'd attend that, if he could find one. "But you guys are pretty cool, I can deal with you just fine." No, that was wrong too. Oh, forget it. He'd let pendragon do the talking. Kaegen held the little lizard up like a shield. In a voice so quiet, it may as well not have been there he whispered to the lizard. "Fix this" And then waited, holding the lizard, and desperately trying to figure out what people were supposed to say.

Clary watched the conversation going on between Kendra and Kae, realizing quickly what was going on. Whether or not the Slytherin girl was flirting or simply being friendly wasn't evident, but it was evident that Kaegan was suffering in the conversation, completely oblivious of how to speak to normal humans. She wasn't surprised, raising her eyebrows as she heard his method of being raised around animals instead of other people. Perhaps it was an explanation for the quirky, quiet persona thé Ravenclaw student presented to all those he first met.
Noticing this discomfort, Clary inserted herself into the conversation, her voice overly perky in an attempt to cover up the underlying awkwardness of the conversation. "Are you serious? Being raised around all sorts of crazy critters sounds amazing! Try growing up with a twin and older brother," she mused, thinking fondly of the numerous fights, arguments, and happy memories she had with both Marissa, and most importantly, James. Realizing the small group was still getting a few curious side glances from the "responsible adults" in the nearby vicinity, Clary turned to the group, pulling them into a slight huddle. "Let's head hack to the castle soon. We can all go hang out on the library or study room, but we're getting a few curious glances."

Let's go ahead and end this thread soon and lock it up once we say our exiting statements.
I can make a thread somewhere else to continue or anyone else can feel free to contribute. Perhaps we should try building on the group relationship of Clary, Kendra, James, and Kae after their shared "interesting" experience.

"I don't think I could survive brothers. Mother and Father didn't talk much. And I almost died a couple times, but I liked it."
Kaegen had almost died a lot of times. Too many times to count. But he didn't really dwell on those times. He had accepted that if he made too much noise while gathering wood then he died. If he was too slow, or tripped, he would die. It had been, and still was a part of his life. If he was good at anything at all, it was surviving.
He was fine with leaving, hogwarts was safer than this place, by quite a lot. It would be nice if they could stay together for a bit longer. He liked this group. He was concerned that the other boy wasn't actually a student. Did he actually know petrificus totalus at first year? If he wasn't actually from hogwarts, then he should- No, he was being paranoid again. Kaegen calmed his thought process. He thought ahead, he had nothing else to do now, this was his last chore, wasn't it? Yeah, it was. His other pets had been taken care of, they were just fine. If it was up to him, he would go back to the lake. He liked the outdoors a lot more than buildings. The outdoors was just more comfortable.

"Alright," Clary replied, swinging her leather satchel over her head, allowing the strap to rest snuggly on her right shoulder. She glanced at the group, offering some quick, yet slightly anxious smiles to James, Kendra, and Kaegan, before questioning, "Well, shall we?"
Clary bounced up from the stool, landing lithely on the wooden floorboards of the Leaky Cauldron. Although they squeaked slightly, the noise was drowned out by the sound of bustling patrons and drunk, hardy laughter that echoed around the small space. She shivered despite the warmth of the room, still uncomfortable by the prospect of playing the role of an unassuming eleven-year-old while some malevolent adult carefully watched the group, preparing to rat them out. Even though she was aware she was being completely unreasonable and paranoid, Claryssa still itched to escape the crowded space that she currently occupied.
"We can meet up later at the Study Room, once we all have a bit of time to rest and change. I, for one, am totally drained!" She yawned and pivoted on the balls of her feet, turning the group who still sat on their stools.
"Well, don't just sit there! Up and at 'em." She lifted her arm, gesturing for them to follow, and passed a few sweet smiles to the nearby patrons, nodding her head in greeting before flitting quietly towards the exit, hoping her friends were in tow, or would at least be following soon enough.

I'll open a thread under Study Room for us to continue hanging out, probably taking place later in the day or a day after the bar scene, once they're well rested and looking back on the events.
