Sighting a mythical creature Closed

As the boy talked to the girl who said she was fine Sky was watching them both. Sky skimmed both to make sure no cuts were visible she was wanting to do something for them, especially the girl from how she seemed she could have had a concussion. Sky didn’t want to interrupt them from their talking, but she noticed they seemed familiar to each other Sky was glad they seemed to be friends.

Sky made many attempts to get up, she knew she wasn’t badly hurt, but still was a little off kilter she watched as the boy ran off into the forest again. Sky took this opportunity to check her cards and put them all back where they could be safe, but of course she no longer had her cloth or bag. To keep from bursting into tears Sky tried to make good talk with the girl. “I don’t think you are alright, you could have something wrong internally it’s best we get you to a nurse quick. I’m Sky by the way.”

Sky felt the introduction was better than not having anything to say to her. After all that the boy came back with a makeshift sled thing and managed to pick Sky up again and place her on what he had done. Soon he was carrying the girl too, and was making his slow march forward. Sky took this time to hold her deck close glancing at the boys many strange things hanging from all around him.

She was amazed really all the bottles and things strapped to him reminded Sky of her own collection of trinkets, however she noted he wore his all over and she only wore a small amount on her wrists. Sky felt that she did not help at all so she opt to try, “I-I can walk I think it would be easier that way we can both help her to the infirmary.”

Clary frowned, watching Kaegan as he wandered into the wood for a moment, disappearing from her line of sight. What was that strange boy up to? With the various jars and such he kept track of,  the boy seemed quite peculiar, but he was also resourceful. After watching him for a few moments, she hazily realized what he was doing, creating a sort of wheeling bed to help move Skye until she could get back up onto her feet. Clary hoped Kaegan would grant her wish and let her walk like a normal person, dignity still intact, but a few spaced out moments later Clary found the world begin to dip and shift as he somehow managed to pick her up.

Unable to protest, Clary wrapped her arms around his neck, surprised he had the strength to carry her. She knew she was rather small for her age, but it was still quite a feat to keep track of so much. Watching the scene go by with slightly blurred vision, Clary mumbled something along the lines of, "Kaegan, just put me down. I can walk just fine. You don't need to do this," as they crossed the open field, nearing towards the entrance to the building. She probably was fine, but the throbbing in her head and blurred vision told her at least something was wrong, though she couldn't really identify what that something was at the moment. Clary recognized the red-headed girl behind her through peripheral vision, though she had no idea who the girl was, not that she was in the best state of mind to tell at the moment.

Oh, no. He had messed up much worse than he had originally thought. Both of the two girls had a concussion. How fast was he even going? Surely not that fast, but looking back on it, Kaegen could tell that he very well could have been. He had tried to hurt the girl before he actually knew who she was, and maybe sky had hit a rock or something. They were both saying that they were fine, but claryssa's words were slurred, she couldn't even stand up on her own. He wasn't sure how bad off sky was, but if the words were anything to go off of, she was just a little bit better. How had he even done this?
He had planned on going off into a dangerous forbidden forest, why were people getting hurt? Setting his eyes forward to the entrance of hogwarts, Kaegen made quiet, halfhearted attempts at replies. At this point they probably didn't even know where they were.
"Yes of course, but you'd probably be more comfortable back there. And of course I don't, you can walk just fine."
It seemed to be the thing to say at the time, and besides he was almost to the entryway. He'd make it out of this, and the two girls would too, they'd just be a bit more injured.

Clary wasn't hurt enough to know what the boy was doing, but she knew better than to try to formulate a sorry excuse for a reply. Technically, if she really needed to, she'd be capable of walking, or at least half-way stumbling. Despite Kaegan's hushed worried whispers, she knew she wasn't as bad as she may seem. Although her father was a cardiologist, he had a period of time where he was interested in neurology, and she was well-versed with the signs of a concussion and other head injuries after her clumsiness growing up. The fact that the red-head was able to form coherent sentences and sit up meant she was fine, if not a bit dizzy from the overall wild adventure she'd just embarked on. Between the two of them running in the forest and fleeing the scene, Clarysa assumed they'd seen something dangerous, though she hadn't thought yet to ask. They shouldn't have gone in in the first place, and she at least had enough of a thought to murmur, "When you go to the infirmary, don't say you went into the edge of the forest. We'd lose house points." The girl, of course, wasn't a Ravenclaw, but Kaegan was, and since they both went in together, he was also at fault.

Clary honestly wasn't sure she had a concussion as well. Despite her grogginess (she knew not to let herself fall asleep, rule number one), she at least hadn't developed any sensitivities to light, which was a good sign. Part of her injury was also just from the blunt impact of practically getting mauled to the ground. She imagined the situation to be like what would happen if she were hit by an American football player on a field. Youch.

Still, the young Ravenclaw girl worried Kaegan couldn't go on much longer. He'd been in the forest just like that other girl had, and they'd definitely seen something that terrified them. He was probably exhausted as well. "If you need to take a break, I can walk, Kaegan," Clary commented once again, doing her best to sound like she had a bit more energy than she really did. "I mean, I'll live no matter what."

Well, that more or less settled things. He had heard those words before. 'I'm not going to die' he had only heard them one time before now, but it had been the last words of a dying man.
Kaegen picked up the pace. His 11 year old muscles were aching, telling him to stop, but he knew that they didn't know what they were talking about, not really. Muscles were weird that way. They said they couldn't go on long before they actually stopped working.
He had made it up the front steps. He remembered what the ravenclaw girl had said, about losing house points. What were those again? He couldn't really remember. But someone had mentioned them before. Why would they lose house points for going into the forest? It made no sense, but he would listen to her. If nothing else, just so that she wouldn't stress any more. Stress could kill you, he had seen it happen before with animals. It was not a thing he was going to let happen here, so he tried to lighten the mood. Talking, people talked to lighten the mood. Alright, now what on earth should he say? He remembered someone telling a muggle joke before, in the great hall. Someone had smiled, if he remembered right.
"Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side."
Kaegen's face was sweating at this point, his exertion pretty obvious, but his voice didn't change, it was still the same faraway whisper it always was. He didn't pant either, his breathing was incredibly quiet, but now you could see his chest rise and fall a lot faster. He saw the stairs in front of him, and started to climb.

Sky couldn’t help but want to help him in his attempt to carry them to the infirmary so she would every now and then use her hands to help push herself along. Sky thought about using a spell to help her levitate but feared the worst that she wouldn’t be able to get down or hold onto anything.

They talked about losing house points that made Sky feel even guiltier she hoped it wouldn’t happen. She had heard his joke and made a soft giggle it was indeed one of the oldest jokes known but she appalled him for trying. Finally, after what seemed like a while Sky dared to stand up as they came to the stairs. Carefully hopping up and feeling a bit dizzy, she made her way to the front of the two.
“Here this should be easier, we can take a break, then start up again together.” Sky hoped she wasn’t complicating things, but she felt she needed it “Besides, you need the rest it’d be a bit of a disaster if we get up to it and you collapse too.” Sky would manage to help set the girl down near the stairs and sit next to her and hold her up if she needed it.

While doing that she knew she needed to talk about something, anything so she did, but felt it might be hard for the girl to do so. Keeping it short and sweet she said to Keagan, “Why’d you have that Salamander?” Then Sky thought that might have been the wrong thing to say.

He could almost see the infirmary, Sky had managed to hop off the travois and was walking a bit, albeit not very well, and that made it easier to carry the other girl up the accursed stairs.
Once in the infirmary, he would have to rely on sky to come up with a convincing lie. He wasn't that good at things like that. It was probably because he never had time to practice but he understood the theory behind it. And she was a slytherin.
"I'm counting on you to bluff our way in there"
He hoped she was lucid enough to understand him. But she was walking, so the answer to that was probably. Oh, wait. She was obviously still dizzy. Maybe she wouldn't even know what to say and bungle it? They would lose house tokens! And, according to the girl he was carrying, that was a bad thing because reasons. Maybe they would take way his bed privilege.
If they did that, where would they want him to sleep? Would it have to be inside? Maybe this was just one door closing and another opening up, he could see if he could ask them to let him sleep outside!
