"If you were going to have your first kiss with anyone in the boy's cabin, besides Oliver, who would it be?" Min asked, causing Maggie to chuckle nervously. “Good one. Hmm..” she didn’t like any of them, besides Oliver, like that, but the thought of kissing any of them in general still made her blush. She barely knew Dale, so at least if she kissed him, there wouldn’t be any strings attached... but then again, she barely knew Dale, and she was afraid that the shy boy would make it awkward. Same with Mac, though she knew him pretty well, he was still kind of a shy character, and she was afraid he’d make it awkward. “Carson.” she said, her voice steady and casual. “I know him the best, and he wouldn’t make it awkward.” she nodded her head, but she knew that wasn’t the answer anyone was really looking for. Plus, she was playing hotseat, and she had to commit. “He’s also, like, mega-hot.” she said, grinning at the girls. “Obviously not as hot as Oliver, but he’s a solid second-place for me.” she shrugged, her tone non-chalant as she spoke. She didn’t have any feelings for him, other than platonic, so she didn’t have a hard time admitting the fact that he was good-looking. She trusted that the girl’s in her cabin wouldn’t let that get out, she’d never hear the end of it from Carson if it did. She could just imagine him endlessly taunting her whenever they struck up their common banter, and she shuddered at the thought of him having such an edge. “Right, two questions to go, Tatiana and Charlotte, you guys are up.”

“Alright. What would be your ideal first date?” Charlotte asked, causing Maggie to grin at her. She hadn’t really ever thought about it, but now that she did, the answer was easy. “A carnival, like a fair or something.” she said confidently. Ever since she was little, she’d loved going to the carnival her school had held every Memorial Day, and it was often the highlight of her year. She loved the roller coasters, games, and the constant smell of buttery popcorn that seemed to travel with carnivals. Plus, fairs were like, super-romantic, right? At least, that’s what the movies had always said. Maggie had never actually been on a date, but she was sure it was just like normal hanging out, right? At least both of the people knew that they liked eachother instead of having to guess the entire time. “I honestly can’t wait— it’s be nice to hang out with your crush knowing that they like you instead of having to count the number of times they glance in your direction.” she joked, though it was painstakingly true. “Alright, Tatiana, you’re up— make this one good, it’s your last chance to drain out all of my juicy secrets.” She laughed, punctuating the last part of her sentence with a frantic voice that made her sound like she was on a reality TV show.

Tatiana frowned as she listened to Min talk about herself so negatively. From all she knew about her, she seemed to be an incredibly sweet and bright young lady, and it made her sad to think she would consider herself a disappointment to anyone she would be paired with. "Anyone would be lucky to be paired with you, Min!" she reassured her, watching as she shyly hid her face in her pillow. And while she didn't know much about Dale, she didn't think anyone in their friend group would be anything but excited to pair with anyone else.

After Maggie offered herself as first in the hot seat, Min was quick to propose her first question, one just as juicy and pressing as Maggie had requested. "If you were going to have your first kiss with anyone in the boy's cabin, besides Oliver, who would it be?" Min asked. The question seemed to illicit a blush across the young girls' faces. Curious and embarrassing questions about the boys were expected to dominate the conversation in the girls cabin, but the game was forcing them to dive right in. The pairing had really set things off, with choices obviously being made regarding each girl's individual preference of the boys. While she and Min seemed to pick between the boys who were left, Tatiana would be lying is she said the thoughts hadn't crossed her mind before.

Of course she thought some of them were cute, those feelings just seemed to come with the territory as a young teenager. However, she hadn't really thought about the idea of divulging into said feelings quite so early, and especially not when they'd be spending the majority of their time that summer with the members of the boys' cabin. Tatiana embarrassed easily and though Maggie was the one in the hot seat, she already felt the heat rising in her cheeks at the question. She hadn't met many boys since she'd arrived, but usually felt more comfortable around girls anyway. She was a typically nervous person, and boys only enhanced those feelings. Though she wouldn't call her feelings for her guy friends a crush per se, it was hard to deny she didn't feel differently, maybe a little more shy, around them than she did around the girls in her cabin.

Even with the nervous tension in the room, Maggie remained her usual fearless self and answered Min's question with ease. "Carson," she'd decided, with little hesitation, citing their close friendship and least likelihood of making it awkward as the reason. Tatiana giggled at this, even if she sort of predicted her response. Having spent time with them both, their friendly relationship was evident in their constant banter. Without wasting time, Maggie was already prepared to gush more and asked for questions from both herself and Charlotte.

Tatiana was thankful the Hufflepuff girl responded rather quickly, as she was having trouble thinking up a good question of her own. "Alright. What would be your ideal first date?" Charlotte asked Maggie. It was a good question, and more innocent than Min's question had been, even if it were still vaguely related to the topic of the boys. The rapidly progressing game made Tatiana increasingly more nervous, as she would have to personally be in the hot seat soon and she wasn't sure she was prepared to answer the same or similar questions.

“A carnival, like a fair or something,” Maggie replied, and Tatiana nodded in agreement. That would be a really fun and exciting way to get to know someone, complete with bright colors, rides and treats. "Okay..." Tatiana pondered, tapping her chin. "How about, when did you know you liked Oliver, or what do you like about him?" she asked, out of pure curiosity, as she was currently trying to diagnose her own personal feelings for the boys she knew.

“How about... when did you know you liked Oliver, or what do you like about him?” Tatiana asked, causing Maggie to blush slightly, the back of her neck heating up under her hood. She knew the answer to the first question, it was an easy one for Maggie. “The first part is easy, because I feel the same way every time I get a crush.” she said, thinking back to the few she’d had in elementary school, none of which had worked out, but they were still there. “A few common symptoms,” she said, laughing at how she sounded like a doctor or something, “Are when they’re like, the best part of your day, y’know? Like, I would change my paths to class just so I could walk past them in the hallways, and it was worth it. When you catch yourself thinking about them, that’s a pretty big tell, too. Like, once, and I’m not even joking, I had a full-blown scenario playing out in my head where I’d impressed Oliver into falling for me.” she laughed at the memory, “Speaking of, I always find myself wanting to impress Oliver, like, when I say something funny, or when I get an O on an assignment, I’m always like, wow, where’s Oliver? I should show this to Oliver, blah blah blah...” she winked at the girls, primarily Tatiana, as she asked the question, “Just on case any of you were wondering wether you like someone or not—” she laughed at their blushed faces, “But yeah, you can usually tell for yourself. And, I first realized that I liked him in a HoM class in first year, I caught myself staring at him after he asked me if I’d gotten enough sleep the night before, since I’d fallen asleep in class. Which, coincidentally, answers the second part of your question— he’s like, really cute and all, but he’s also like really sweet and kind.” she finished her speech with a sigh, a blush now full-blown raging on her cheeks. “So, who’s next? I nominate Min, just ‘cause she asked the first question, but if someone else wants to go next they can.”

Min-seo blushed as Maggie explained why she liked Oliver. Oh no. Oh no no no. She looked down at her pillow. She'd never experienced love before, but from Maggie's explanation, it seemed like she did. and it was happening now....
She hugged her pillow tighter. They would never like her back. Never. They would think she was insane. She felt herself go red. She wouldn't tell them. Nuh uh. No way. It would pass. She knew that he was super blunt and considered a bully, but she didn't know why she wanted to impress him somewhat. She looked back up at Maggie who seemed redder then she was.

“So, who’s next? I nominate Min, just ‘cause she asked the first question, but if someone else wants to go next they can.”

She nodded. "I'll go." she said. She scooted into the middle, teeter tottering, making a fool of herself. She really didn't care at this point. She was going to answer as honestly as she could. She wasn't too scared to answer questions. She knew that these girls wouldn't want to make her too uncomfortable. She hugged the pillow and rested her head on it, looking like a little piece of mochi. "Alright you guys. Ask me anything," she said with a smile. She could do this. They were just questions. It'd be fine.

“I’ll go.” Min said, looking really, really, nervous. Okay, so Min does like someone, Maggie thought, grinning to herself. Her little speech was heartfelt and true, but she’d also said it for another reason. If the girls weren’t sure who they liked before, they sure did now. Maggie didn’t know if Min would actually tell them, as she was a rather shy girl, but she hoped that Min trusted them enough to tell. She debated in her head wether she should be as upfront with her question as possible, and, as Maggie was a generally upfront person, she leaned towards just flat-out asking her who she liked. However, she thought it would be a safer bet to kind of disguise the question, but she doubted she was clever enough to do so without making it completely obvious. She sighed, honesty was the best policy, right? “Alright Min,” she began, trying to keep her voice as casual as possible so she wouldn’t frighten the girl, “who do you like, aka who do you have a crush on?” she asked, picking at a sticker on the corner of her trunk as she did so. She looked up to Min, making sure to make eye contact with her, and added, “We know you like someone, and I can tell you from experience admitting it makes it so much easier.” she laughed, thinking of the time she’d told all of her friends. Her heart had been basically beating out of her chest, and she’d kept fidgeting as she told them. What would Min do when she told them?

“who do you like, aka who do you have a crush on?” she asked, picking at a sticker on the corner of her trunk as she did so. She looked up to Min, making sure to make eye contact with her, and added, “We know you like someone, and I can tell you from experience admitting it makes it so much easier.”

"Oh god why did I have a feeing someone would ask thattttttttttt," she whined into the pillow. Oh no. Here we go. They probably hate him and would call him someone that picks on people.
"Well, oh god." She pushed her face deeper into the pillow.
"You're right about me liking someone. That part is true. Look, I don't know if I like them or not, I really don't. I know that he has a reputation of being blunt and unforgiving, but, she turned into a deep red tomato.
"U-um, I think I like, Remy Alto, but I still don't know." she said, whispering.
"Now, don't get the wrong idea, I know he's blunt, but he's always been kind to me, even though the first time I met him he threw a snowball at my face," she said quietly.
"And again, I don't know if I like him, it might be something else. Plus, he will never like me back. Next." she said, extremely embarrassed. God why did she say it. Though Maggie said it would feel better, she felt worse. She didn't want to be judged, and she just set herself up in the most vulnerable way, and if she was judged, it would kill her.

Awwweeee, Tatiana thought, an apologetic look on her face. Min's embarrassed reaction to Maggie's question was both cute and highly relatable. The poor, timid Slytherin girl was now blushing bright red in her cheeks and nervously trying to hide her face in her pillow. She told them Remy Alto was who she was crushing on. Who was that? Tatiana had never met him, much less heard his name before, but Min seemed to think the rest of the girls would have some misconceptions about his personality. I wonder why, she thought. Surely anyone who spent time with and liked Min couldn't be that poor of a person. She hadn't spent much time with the girl, but felt that anyone in her presence would have a difficult time being anything but nice.

She giggled at her comment about the snowball. "He seems sweet, Min," she told the girl, now hiding her face in the pillow. "You'll have to tell us about him sometime." Noticing how uneasy she appeared at having to answer something so personal, Tatiana decided to turn her topic of question elsewhere. She wanted to know more about each of them, but not at the expense of their comfort. "Okay Min, I'll try not to ask you about him- at least not right now," she winked. "But how about... have you ever done anything illegal?"

Min-seo looked at Tatiana with her cheeks puffed out. "Nuuuuuu, stahp I feel attacked," she said, burying her face deeper into the pillow again.

How embarrassing. WHY MAGGIE DID YOU HAVE TO ASK THAT QUESTION!? She sighed and focused on the next question. She couldn't let this bother her. It would be fine, the crush would pass, and he would never find out. Plus it seemed like he liked Dianara Lucey or she thought that was her name, but she wasn't sure.

"Okay Min, I'll try not to ask you about him- at least not right now," she winked. "But how about... have you ever done anything illegal?"

Min-seo gave her a glare at the crush comment that was supposed to look menacing but just made her look like an angry kitten (but lets not tell her that). She tapped her chin, thinking.
"Well, not necessarily, the only 'illegal' she used air quotes for this, "Thing I've done is jaywalking, but I don't count that. Besides that, no, I've never done anything illegal of the sort. I'm a good child," she said, joking a bit, her blush going down a bit. That didn't mean she wasn't embarrassed anymore. How are people so chill with telling people who they like? She had the hardest time just talking so she wouldn't be judged by anyone, because there were some people out there that love to judge.
