@Lamik Fillestar
"Of course I like desserts. Who doesn't?" Dessert was one of Lamik Fillestar's favorite things, right after his family, his friends, and of course, cheese fondue. "You like desserts, right? If not, I'll have to assume that you're insane. I feel like that's an acceptable leap in logic."
He was torn between finding this bizarre and hilarious. In truth, he'd asked Fillestar what dessert he wanted, so he could be a good Samaritan too, and give him one from the table. But apparently the blonde was going off on a tangent about 'liking' and 'not liking' desserts, laughing at his own joke. So he humored him.

"Yeah, I like desserts plenty. Not those pumpkin pasties," he wrinkled his nose, "but ice cream is tasty."

In truth, he didn't know a person who didn't like desserts. Millie he was certain had allergies to chocolate and dairy, but he was sure that even she had a couple of sweets she liked.

He wondered if Fillestar was a rule-breaker or not. He did want to show someone a particular sort of dessert, the banned one - a chocolate frog. Who knew, maybe the blonde even liked chocolate frogs. He found it unfair that Aurelia could decide to outlaw them with her prefect powers. Chocolate frogs were scrummy, but even better, fun to play with. It was like if Play-Doh was edible.

Giving Lamik a side-eyed glance, he said casually, "Do you like chocolate or vanilla things better?"

He would show a frog depending on what Fillestar answered. After all, if he was the tattling kind of bloke, Isaac wasn't eager to get kicked out of this 'Ball' just yet, over something as petty as bringing two frogs into the room.

Interacting w/ @Lallie Luna

Okay. So Lallie liked to dance, but wasn't very good at it. Easy fix. Millie could just barely remember when she went dancing for the first time. She fell so many times that she was afraid she would break all of her bones before she got home and was able to eat some dinner! She had fallen over seventeen times, since her father had decided to keep count. Mostly to annoy and make fun of Millie, but all with a good heart.

God, she loved dancing more than anything. Well, maybe not more than playing her uke or her violin, but dancing was a goodie. She was amazing at ballet and ballroom dancing, and pretty decent in jazz, but everything else she was pretty moderate in. If only she had brought her ukulele, she could've played some great music and danced. How fun and interesting that would be. Though, maybe dancing with an old and delicate ukulele was not the best idea. Especially if she were to be playing it. Yeah, maybe scratch the idea.

Millie finally looked around, and as she looked at each student, she couldn't help but smile. Every single one of them were Gryffindors. Maybe not for the same reason, but they all had that good-natured, happy-go-lucky aura about them. Brave and courageous. In their own way.

Finally plucking up the courage, she stood up and rolled her shoulders. Looking back at Lallie, a cocky smile appeared on Millie's face.

"I'm quite good at dancing, and I'm sure you're not as bad as you say you are," She extended her own hand to Lallie's. "So let's dance!"

Kyle let out a slight groan as he sees the people from the incident in the bathroom pile in, and they all flocked together. Of course. As he watched them he saw the angry stares from Marla, and the way the rest looked at him. Fear and distrust, he was sure a lot other negative feelings as well. He couldn’t hear them but they way they spoke and some glanced at him and then more talking happened he was sure they were talking about him. What a jerk he was, how he’s crazy, how he doesn’t belong. He was sure of it. He frowned and shook his head. Who cared what they thought? He had better things to do than to worry about what losers thought about him!...than why did it bother him so much?

Kyle took a hand out of his pocket and mussed his slick back bake and making it a wild mess like usual, he didn’t care what he looked like anymore. He left his corner and made his way to the table with the drinks on it and he crabs himself a cup and drinks the whole thing in one swing. He didn’t care for it but it was something to do ”coming was a mistake” he muttered to himself

Her brain started hyperventilating and it took all of Lallie's power to not show how much she was freaking out on the inside to Millie. Millie was asking her to dance and was awaiting an answer. Lallie was overjoyed, but also terrified.

What if she steps on her foot? What if she trips? What if she makes Millie look like a fool in front of all her friends? Lallie didn't have many friends in Gryffindor, but Millie clearly did.

'Ok, Lallie chill out.' Lallie's thought, her logic trying to cut through her anxiety, 'You two are twelve years old. It's not like you doing something stupid or making a fool of yourself or any of the numbers of ways you could damage you or Millie's reputation in some way could affect you two for the rest of your life or anything.' Lallie's logic always tried to break through her anxiety, but it usually just ended up making her more nervous.

"O-ok," Lallie said taking Millie's hand. She seriously wondered why she had gotten Gryffindor. She was such a timid girl and was always so nervous. Sure she went along with what people were doing, but that was because she was too scared of them getting upset if she said no.

Walking on to the center of the dance floor she knew very well she and Millie were some of the only people out there, but she blocked that out trying to focus on not screwing up in front of Millie. She looked at Millie blushing slightly, not quite knowing what to do now.

Aurelia stood by the door for a while longer, she hadn’t much to do, not unless the Head of House assigned her with something more, which she desperately hope that it would not happen. All the Gryffindor girl wanted to do was enjoy the ball along with the others of her house.

At Scott words, a genuine smile spread across her face, at least someone had the decency to show their appreciation on what she had done, even if it wasn’t that much. “Thank you, but most of the decorations were done by Professor Wright.” The girl proceeded to saying. At only second year, Aurelia hadn’t the spells to hang massive streamers across ceilings.

Even though it was a ball, no one had taken to the dance floor yet. Most were around the tables, snacking and talking amongst one another. But Aurelia didn’t just spent a whole afternoon setting up the ball just so she could stand around when it commenced. After taking a brief look around and accessing potential dance partners, Aurelia walked up to two Gryffindors by one of the many red tables who were snacking on eclairs. “I hope I’m not interrupting but would you care for a dance?” She asked the blonde boy. There were two of them but she only needed one to dance with.

Interacting with @Isaac Ambrose and @Aurelia Bezuidenhout

Lamik, being a bit oblivious at times, thought that the question of whether he liked chocolate better then vanilla was ridiculous. Of course, he liked chocolate better. Who didn't? "I prefer chocolate." He said. Thinking for a few moments, the boy decided that he should ask it back. "What about you?" Lamik knew that a good way to befriend someone- especially someone who may not like you much- was by getting to know them better. He wanted Isaac to like him pretty badly since Isaac seemed nice and it would be a shame to throw it all away just because they started off on the wrong foot.

Before he could get an answer though he heard an unfamiliar voice. Turning towards its source he saw Aurelia, the second year Prefect in charge with the organization of this ball, just standing there. It took Lamik a few moments to completely understand what she was asking, but as soon as he did his eyes widened. "What?" He stammered, his face going red. "You mean me? Like... dance for the ball type dance?" Lamik had never been asked out before, and a prefect, especially an OLDER prefect asking him to dance was completely new territory for him.

Leaving @Marla Quinlan and @Emile Yorke for a while
Marla kept watching the boy over her shoulder and the boy suddenly moved to the table with the drinks.  Meenauh felt the chaotic intention again as if the atmosphere about that boy screamed for it.
Interacting with @Kyle Derook
She excused herself from Marla and Emile, made a few steps towards the drinks table, and started:

"In muggle movies, it happens often that someone starts talking to a guy, ordering a drink at the bar, and they engage in some conversation. So, hey. We haven't met," she cut it, smiled and continued, "We haven't met properly. I am a friend of your friend. Care about a dance?"

"What the hell are you doing?!" the rational voice started screaming in her head as she felt a shiver coming down her spine. The last phrase sounded completely out of her world. Mother always told her that the boy should ask out a girl. Rule number one. Break it and you're screwed. But wasn't that about the amorous relationship? That was just a dance between 11 or 12-year old ones. And she was standing there, near the boy in a pretty much gang outfit. That was the chaos again. The best thing to continue with would be to pull out a wand and wave it in front of his face, of course.

And she was standing there in silence, waiting for the boy to answer.

Kyle sipped his drink and shrugged. It’s not the best thing he ever had, but it tasted better than lake water so he couldn’t really complain too much. Then a girl came up to him and he cocked and eyebrow. Why did she look so familiar? And why did he have an unshakable feeling they have fought. He doesn’t fight girls...well...not often. Then it hit him. She was there at the incident in the abandoned toilets. She had attempted to drag him away and put a wand in his face. And now she wanted to dance? Because what, she was a friend of his friend? Did she mean Marla? Because he was sure she hated him now, he ruined the possibility of a friendship with her.

He let out a slight scoff and shakes his head before taking another sip of his drink. ”look...I’m not sure who you think I’m friends with, or what you hope to accomplish by asking me to dance. But, I ain’t playin yer game. Yeah? I ain’t dancin, least of all with you. Though don’t take it personal. I don’t like none of the losers at this party” he finished his drink and and set the cup back on the table then returned his gaze to meenauh, resting both his hands in his jacket pockets

Meenauh let out a sigh of satisfaction.

"That was pretty close," the rational voice talked when the catastrophic consequences were avoided and Meenauh could think clearly again, "You have to do something about those damn chaotic impulses of yours."

Meenauh blinked a couple of times, smiled at the mention of the losers at the party and talked back:

"Oh, did I invite you for a dance? My apologies. I didn't really want to dance with you, that was probably a nervous snap or something," she said and took a glass of a some 'please, don't ever drink me' potion and emptied it in a single shot to wet her whistle. It tasted way too sweet and her throat was almost hurt, so she rushed to something that looked like a glass of water and thanked the world it was really water. After gulping the whole glass in, she continued:

"What I really wanted is to talk to you about Marla. I'm a bit worried about her. How much of a friend you actually are to her? Because I do feel like she cares about you. I don't want to sound very protective of her, of course, as she would hate that. But I'm worried as she keeps glancing at you and I can't decipher whether she's afraid or furious, considering you-know-what."

As Meenauh mentioned not getting anything from the scavenger hunt, she frowned, tempted to give the girl her broom. But this thing was her newfound prized possession... How would she play quidditch next year without it? Marla pondered for a moment, thinking, and then remembered the chocolate frog she had in her pocket. It wasn't much, and Meenauh probably grabbed a ton on her way out from the scavenger hunt, but it was worth a shot. She pulled it out, offering it to Meenauh.
"I know it isn't much, but please take it. I wasn't going to eat it anyways." She shrugged, scrunching up her nose as she gave the girl her chocolate frog. Hopefully, it would make her feel better about not finding much at the scavenger hunt.

Soon after, Meenauh decided to leave, probably to say hi to some other friends. Marla was honestly a little jealous of the girl, so charismatic n'all. How did she do it? Marla could never be that confident with people, or that popular. But at least she was still with Emile... Right?

The little joy that Marla felt from being at the ball drained in an instant when she saw Meenauh talking to Kyle. What was she doing? Her and Meenauh were friends, right? Why in the world was she talking to Kyle? She gritted her teeth together, excusing herself from Emile, and stormed over to drag Meenauh back. She couldn't possibly be trying to get all buddy-buddy with that psychopath. What business did she have with an imbecile like him? Not only that, but he was dressed like a– what were those evil muggle people called... A drug dealer! Well, maybe that was an exaggeration... But that didn't mean he wasn't an asshole. Marla wasn't going to let Meenauh get affiliated with someone like him.

"...But I'm worried as she keeps glancing at you and I can't decipher whether she's afraid or furious, considering you-know-what." Meenauh had said to Kyle. Marla felt her face heat up as she crept closer to the tall Gryffindor. Was it that noticeable? Marla only shot a few mean glances at Kyle, nothing more. Maybe she was just really smart... And observant... Or they could be talking about someone completely different! Yes, that must be it. Either way, Marla couldn't believe that she was doing this. Just being that close to Kyle made her feel physically sick. Though it was small, the boy tarnished her with a scar on her face that would be there for a few more years before completely leaving. He made her cry. Something she didn't do often. And all she did was try to help him. What did she do wrong? Marla's throat began to ache as the memories flooded back into her brain. Before she could burst into tears all over again, she shoved herself between the two, looking daggers at Kyle before speaking.

"Who's this 'she'?" Marla asked with a fake smile and crossed her arms, trying not to look at Kyle.

"your loss, baby !!"
