Another girl entered the compartment, filling it to its brim. The girl asked to enter, but before anyone could reply, walked right in. She announced that she had been kicked out of another compartment for being too loud. Oh boy, this was going to be difficult with the other two girls, Shelby and Erika. They seemed to be pretty quiet. Millie didn't really mind, and after talking to Holly, didn't think the other girl would either.
When Holly talked about her 'glowstick' Millie couldn't help but snort. She had been able to practice a few spells, and lighting her wand was indeed one of them. She pulled it back out and held it in her hand. The beautiful wand felt warm under her grip.
"Lumos," She mumbled. The Cherry wood wand suddenly shined a bright, white light. It engulfed the compartment before Millie had time to whisper the counter-charm. "Nox."
As she pocketed the wand in her jeans, the new girl began rambling about her mother, and Millie had enough time to look in her trunk. Inside, there was a book with the title completely rubbed off. The cover was green and red, with many peelings on the side. A grin devoured her face.
"This book is all about wand-makers and their techniques. Even in North America, where I'm from. It's where I got this book, actually. It's got all different types of Wand-makers. Like Ollivander and Gregorovitch!" She seemed proud. Perhaps this wasn't a bad career journey.

I haven't been feeling well, so sorry!
When the other girl had suddenly burst in on their conversation, Shelby had stared at her wide-eyed. Five was quite the group; would the ride end in peace or a bunch of drama, she wondered. The new girl said that she was infamous for being a little too talkative and so far Shelby could understand why, but she didn't mind too much. It was better than total silence.
"I'm Shelby," she said, smiling at the girl. Shelby would be the last person to kick someone out for something that small, like talking.
"I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up," Shelby admitted, though she didn't seem embarrassed. She had been listening to the girls talk about the jobs they wanted and considered what she'd like to do. She could always say she wanted to be a...Quidditch Player or Auror, that's what she heard kids in Diagon Alley say all the time, but she never really cared to research it on her own.
She decided that stay silent about that part; for now, it was more interesting to hear from girls with actual witch backgrounds.
The book that Euphrasia pulled was interesting and she seemed to think so too. She became curious when she mentioned some famous wizards. "I've heard of Ollivander, of course, but I have no clue who Gregorovitch is. Also, what's so interesting about being a wand-maker?" She didn't ask in a mean, conceding way. She just wanted to know so she could get some ideas.
