That girl... she was observing, just as he was. This was getting more interesting than he thought. What was drawing them here? Was it the conflict? Were they trying to learn the spells the slytherin had been practicing? He slunk up on top of the table with the grace of poured molasses. They didn't care if he was there or not. He was going to learn more, come what may. If the girl would be willing to teach him, who knows what he could learn? But she was slytherin, and filled the stereotype perfectly. He would have to offer something in return. Something that would giver her an edge, or something.
Kaegen sighed. He had no idea what she would be interested in. What would pique her interest? He could give her the enchanted ball, or perhaps he could find out what she wanted if he just listened a bit more. Took his time. The Ravenclaw was trying to make friends with the hufflepuff, no surprise there. If you had a beating heart, a hufflepuff would probably become your friend for life. Unless the lines were blurred. This move by the other ravenclaw made him think that maybe they were clearly defined after all. He certainly hoped so. Everyone here was a total stereotype.

Eva eyed the gryffindor, not bothered by her, but she went ahead and ate the chocolate. She's never really tried one, but then was surprised that she asked for her schedule. She didn't know them herself, so she dug in her pocket for her schedule. She looked at it, and then gave it to the Gryffindor. Then she went back to her reading, savouring the taste of the chocolate. The after the four people table, came a few more, which she ignored. She didn't need more people to come and barge in on her business. She did like the others though, even though the Gryffindor was a bit mouthy. After finishing the chocolate frog, she looked to the first of the other three houses to join. They were all good looking compared to her, and that made her a bit insecure of herself. Even the Gryffindor was prettier than her, so she minda lowered her head. If her mother saw her do tjis, she knew she'd be scolded. She kept silent, but added a spell to her schedule, to write the words 'thank you' at the top, for the gryffindor to read. It was kinda nice that a gryffindor would give her something, even though she was in the rivaled house. Even after how rude she was, and that helped her feel a bit more open.

The table was beginning to get packed as more and more people flocked to it. There was a fellow Griffinydor but he didn't seem too in her at the moment. Looking over the schedule, Elena noted that they had Defense Against The Dark Arts together."Interesting."She mused to herself before noticing the words appear at the top. She couldn't help it, she smiled at the Slytherin as she handed the sheet back, perhaps this would not be so bad. Elena flicked her fingers at her bag and a wand appeared which she tapped at the side of the table and a teapot and cup appeared and began to fill up. However, before any them got a chance to enjoy the mesl, there was a noise of flapping wings and hoots and they all looked up to see the all too familar wave of owls carrying mail flowing in. Elena ' s expression suddenly darkened, her parents had warned her to keep her letters out of sight but how would she in front of all these people. Her owl, a huge brown tawny fluttered down landing on her shoulder. She stroked it as it hooted and nuzzled her. "I missed you too, Saig."She said letting out a little laugh as it nuzzled her before handing the package at which she fell silent. It was a letter but the envelope was all black with strange writing across the top. She reached out a shaking hand and took it. Elena knew her parents occupations but if anyone find out...the result would be disastrous. Quickly stowing it in her bag hoping no one would noticed, she gave the others a weak, non convincing smile."So what'd you guys get?."

Eris blinked at the other gyffindor and her owl. She was lucky to get letters from her family. Eris hadn't heard from her family in 7 months, and didn't want to hear from any of them. She had wrote a letter out to her father weeks ago, but doubted he had got it. He had probably panicked, seeing the owl. Eris wished they had normal post here, not owl post, just so her father would read her letter. She had a feeling he wouldn't care if she was dying. If she sent the news by owl mail, he wouldn't bat an eyelash.

Shrugging, she replied to the other girl. "I got a whole lot of nothing. My family hates me." She said it cheerfully, as if it wasn't alarming for an eleven year old girl to say her family hated her. She was trying to make a joke out of how messed up her family situation was , and hoped the others would understand what she was trying to do, by being cheerful about it. That's what they did in her books anyways. The characters always pretended not care about their issues in front of people, and instead made jokes about them."I'm Eris by way. I know we're in the same house, but I don't believe we've met?" she said, still in a deceptively cheery voice.

A shout of joy rang off inside Kaegen's head. He had expected this to be interesting, it had been interesting, but this took several forms of the cake!
That envelope, that black envelope with the writing absorbed Kaegen's attention. But not all of it. His eyes still flashed around sporadically. He didn't want to miss anything else while he was focusing on this girl. He briefly toyed with the idea of sneaking up and taking the letter, but decided against it. He didn't want to be a thief, not if he could help it. Satisfying his curiosity would have to come later. Wait.. that was it! He pulled a turtle, head and arms vanishing inside his robe as he rummaged about. Searching for a specific item among the many he had strapped to himself. Finding the strange box, wooden with holes on it, Kaegen opened and pulled out his pet. It was his favorite, a Moke. One of the silver green lizards, that could shrink instantly and at will. He had named it pendragon, and the little lizard was pretty well trained. Kaegen played with him all the time when he was little. Now if only he could get the lizard to understand what he was trying to say.
He put the lizard on the table, but the lizard, upon seeing all of these other people, instantly shrank to the size of a Gnat. Faster than the eye could follow. Kaegen started whispering, and signaling with bizzare handsigns. Trying to get the table to look at the gryffindor girl. Or at least that's what it looked like. Pendragon was having none of it, but Kaegen was determined to be subtle. If only he could get the lizard to take the letter to the girl.

Shr saw the smile from the Gryffindor that had her schedule, but the owls grabbed her attention. A huge grey owl came down, landing in front of Eva, trying to have her full attention. Eva looked at the owl, stroking it's feathers, which the revealed that under the huge mass of grey, there was a thin layer of white and black feathers. It was a combination of shades. "Ash, you know better than to land on a table." She stopped petting the bird, and then it walked/waddled up her arm, gently, to her shoulder. She may be cunning and full slytherin, but when it came to HER animals, she could be a bit of a hufflepuff. She loved animals that she grew up with, since they were her only friends. No wizards or witches really liked her, till maybe now. The owl had no letter, only visit her, with a blank piece of paper for an excuse to come. Eva rolled her eyes at the bird, and then poked his beak. Ash squaked, and flew up into Eva's hair, knowing it infuriated the girl. "No! Down!"

The bird, then, flew off her head, and sat on the table, wishing to stay. Then it walked/waddled around the table, looking at everyon.

Elena looked at the other Griffinydor girl as her owl perched on her shoulder nuzzled against her cheek."They can't be that bad, I'm sure they see something special in you."She said with a small smile trying to lighten the mood at the table. Her owl suddenly perked up and hooted angrily fluttering about its wings."What's the matter with you, Windfall?"She said stroking the bird with one hand to keep it calm. Windfall however was having none of it and with a sharp hoot, plucked at the table with its beak suddenly holding up a squirming lizard creature which had been creeping towards the black parchment in her hand, it seemed. Elena immediately went on full alert and with a wave of her hand, coils of rope appearing tightly sealing the letter for future reading when she was alone and stored it away."Put it down Windfall, it's just a poor thing."She said trying to divert everyone from the series of events that had just occured. Eva seemingly was having her own issues with her owl as it poked it's beak about in her hair. The girl let out a small chuckle."Seems like your owl really doesn't want to leave you."She said watching the altercation  between the duo. Whilst she was watching, a series of thoughts crossed her mind. That creature Windfall had plucked was very close to the letter she'd been holding and made her wonder who had dispatched it on this table. It looked like a pet and she surveyed the table analyzing everyone. Her eyes fell on a boy who was making some skirt bizarre gestures with his hand."Hey, you. What are you doing?"She asked pretending to sound curious.

As soon as the lizard was grabbed, it shrunk. It shrunk far too small for the owl, or anyone else for that matter, to see. The boy was looking pretty exasperated when elena asked him what he was doing.
"Trying to get my moke to deliver a letter to you without anyone else noticing. But that didn't work when he ran off without the letter. I was going to ask you what the interesting black letter you tried to hide was without anyone else being able to overhear, but seeing as pendragon is on strike, I might as well just tell you."
That had been a lot of words. Incredibly soft words, that sounded like a breeze, a faraway whisper, but words nonetheless. He hadn't talked that much in so long, he couldn't even remember when. It made his tongue tired. Or maybe he was just imagining that. He waited expectantly. The girl had cast a locking spell. Wasn't she 11? Wasn't this her first year at hogwarts? He had seen something like that from other students, and was honestly starting to get worried. How on earth were all these 11 year olds running around with spells like that, when he only had a levitation charm? He must have just missed out on extra lessons, or maybe these first years were not what they seemed...

Sky was happy to see a table at least dedicated to a wide range of students from the different houses. This made Sky feel a bit homier she never liked being stuck with one crowd, but being able to flow gently between the two. Besides her parents were from two different houses and still managed to stay together after years of leaving the school. But sadly there was one thing Sky didn’t like about coming upon people who were already talking amongst themselves.

She immediately recognized some of the students she felt that should be good for something she could talk to them if anything. As Sky approached, she heard a few snippets of the conversations going on, the girl a Slytherin looked to be hiding a blush to which Sky was sure she might have had a crush. Sky herself never once thought of having a crush she felt that no one would be interested in her at all or like her whatsoever, so she kept that side well closed off the chances of ever having one seemed unlikely but who knows life is strange but life as a Hogwarts student was even stranger.

She felt she should at least chime in on the conversation, but stick to being on the sides, she notice the boy that had been in the forest with her and decided to make her way to him. Hoping she was not being too weird or seeming to be there if he didn’t want her to be. She hoped he would tell her if he didn’t though, she would hate to have caused any more problems for him.
