[quote]Thankfully, after Kyle's extremely dangerous spell casting, nobody was seriously hurt. Lucky for Kyle. If anyone was hurt? She'd probably murder him in his sleep. Metaphorically... Definitely metaphorically. Ha.
After running to Isaacs aide, he had exclaimed that he's seen worse than this. Honestly? Marla had as well, but she never recalled being this terrified. She's never been punched in the face before, let alone have a friend, and the one friend she kind of had hurt her. The girl's throat hurt as she pushed back tears, her cheek in utter agony, along with her worry for Kyle, it was overwhelming. She clenched her fists and kind of shoved them into her sleeves to make sure that nobody saw that she was shaking from the shock of the incident. Before attempting to leave the room, Meenauh had spoken to her.
"Hey, darling. So he punched you in the face? What about me helping you to go to the hospital wing and see if you're okay?" Marla pondered for a moment on Meenauh's question. She didn't feel like going to the hospital wing. She needed to get out of there. Marla just wanted to head to the common room and cry her eyes out... And there was no way in hell she was letting any of them see her cry. What if they make fun of her? Or antagonize her about it later? No way, no chance.
"I'm alright. I–I can bandage it in my dorm just fine." She said in a feeble manner, biting back the urge to scream at the top of her lungs.
"You know... as much as I dislike telling people that the thought isn't what counts- since believe me I've had quite a bit of dumb ideas in the past- what the two of you just did was absolutely insane." Lamik added, seemingly angry. She couldn't help but agree. Meenauh was lovely, but she did kind of escalate the situation there... Marla wasn't going to say it out loud of course, but it was true. Isaac didn't really do anything but... Him being there didn't make things better. It was obvious that Kyle wanted to be left alone and if being surrounded by two people pissed him off? He would be twice as mad at four.
"It wasn't that stupid," Isaac countered, "At least I didn't talk to him, or maybe, jab my wand right at him." He looked straight at Meenauh accusingly, to which Marla shot back a piercing glare. There was no need to be so pissy about it. They already had a jerk take things out of hand, Marla wouldn't let it happen again.
"Calm down, would you? It's over with.." Her request was a bit hypocritical, considering that she was infuriated on the inside, tempted to take out her wand and filipendo Kyle to the freaking moon. But she wasn't acting on her anger. Or maybe she was and she just didn't notice. Either way, Isaac was just making things worse for no reason. But of course, not like Isaac would listen. And so, he spoke again,"Not like you were doing any better, Mr. Lets-Go-To-The-Hospital-Wing. No one even cares about what you say. If he really wanted to hurt us, I bet you'd be dead in a second." Marla gritted her teeth, her death-stare on Isaac hardened as she contemplated slapping some sense into him... What was the point of saying that? To make an ass out of himself? He was the one who walked into the bathroom! Isaac could have left as soon as he saw the freakshow that was going on.
"Hey! I care! Stop acting like a psycho already." She demanded, her voice becoming more aggressive as she spoke. There was a fire in her gut and she needed to leave. She needed to unhinge. Get out. But she couldn't. She couldn't leave when she didn't know if everyone was okay, and at this rate, someone was going to get punched again.

"Hey! I care! Stop acting like a psycho already."@Marla Quinlan | mention @Lamik Fillestar | @Meenauh Silmataurea
He noticed Marla's piercing glare as he spoke, but couldn't help the furious words. Who on earth was that blonde kid to criticize him? Sure, Isaac knew that he didn't help the situation in the slightest, but he didn't make it any worse than it already was. Besides, while they were bickering over useless things, the feral-boy had already stormed out of the Toilets to cause destruction wherever he pleased. And no one had gone after him.
"I'm not a psycho," he told the fiery-haired girl plainly, eyes narrowing and shadows falling over his face. He stared straight back at her, unfazed by her death stare. "There's only one psycho around here, and he's already gone through the door."
His heart pounded as he gazed at the door where the boy had exited. Was anyone else about to do anything to stop him? Or would Isaac have to chase the unstable student alone?
He came to a cold realization.
It didn't matter to him.
As always, he was mistaken. These people were nothing like the friends he once relied upon, and it was clear they didn't want him there. It wasn't like he and Marla even cared about each other in the first place. No, he'd do this by himself. If he got hurt, he'd deal with it.
A stupid boy couldn't be worse than a dementor.
The ache in his side had subsided, and without another word, he turned away from Marla and the rest of the group. His wand burned a hole in his pocket as he dashed out the door, after the other boy.
Whether they followed or not was of no importance.
Gone out to chase Kyle, wherever he is. You can try to drag him back to the Bathroom, but that will likely result in a fight.

As thankful as Lamik was for the redheads attempt at defending him, the boy knew that he was in the wrong mere moments after the words came out of his lips. Lamik had spoken out of exhaustion, but that was no excuse for his being so mean. Unfortunately, just as he was about to tell Marla that no, *he* was that bad guy between the two boys, the boy he had been mean to started leaving the bathrooms, and as he left the door Lamik only had time to say: "I'm sorry."
What was wrong with him? How could he have snapped like that for no reason? I mean sure, it might have been a bad idea, but being so mean to someone he had just met was completely out of character for Lamik, and he already felt awful about it. When he has come to Hogwarts his goal- above all else- was to make as many friends as possible. He was unfamiliar with the strange new world, scared, even. The boy had hoped that the social skills he had would help him out at his new school too, and now he had used said social skills to hurt someone.

Meenauh felt like a silent viewer standing in a boiling cauldron when the fire under it was already put out, but the contents were still hot as the sun and boiling.
The blonde boy snapping; Marla talking to the curly boy (whom she remembered from the classes to be called Ambrose if she wasn't mistaken) as if she was restraining a fire inside her; Ambrose boy trying to counter every phrase and looking all wannabe-hero, just as her mother called it 'the main trait of Gryffindors'. And then he went like a shot through the exit doors, leaving them three without his angered presence, probably because he couldn't stand the dialogue anymore. And she felt it worked as she started to feel less tense.
People were angry because they either were annoyed or afraid. While everyone seemed pretty annoyed probably by the appearance of the last two characters in the play, Ambrose seemed more afraid to her. She couldn't judge him as she didn't know why he was there in the first place and why his wand was ready. Maybe he heard the noise as she heard it and took it out for protection? Again, not enough information to process. So she turned to the remaining characters in the play, and started to talk:
"As all the unstable characters left the stage, we can now talk like first-years with first-years. At first, I honestly thought that the mad boy was threatened by you," she pointed at the blonde boy with her palm, where her wand still resided, "and that other boy, Ambrose, if my memory doesn't fail me. I really thought you were the bullies and I even thought of stunning you. Then I thought that it would be better to clear the room of the mad boy in some chaotic manner, which I believe I succeeded with, though in not much of an elegant way," she looked up at the ceiling, which was damaged by the sparks, "but the more I processed the incoming information, the more I thought it was not all true and you, Marla, confirmed it with your statements about the boy. Which makes me look like the one responsible for the escalation of the conflict."
She exhaled as it seemed she was panting, though she tried to proclaim everything as calm as possible. After a moment she continued:
"I'd suggest going back to out dorms, but first," she remembered how shocked and broken Marla sounded when she shouted at the mad boy, "Marla, do you like really care about the boy? Should we talk to Professor Wright?"

As the harsh words spilled out of her mouth to Isaac, Marla instantly felt regret stab her in the stomach. Why did she say that? It looked as if there was a storm cloud over his head as he began to speak. She faltered as he finished. Kyle wasn't a psycho, he just.. Well... She didn't have an excuse. What could she excuse? He punched a hole in the wall, then her in the face, pretty much wrecked the ceiling of the bathroom... And somehow she was still trying to rationalize his impulses. The girl looked longingly at the door, pondering on the urge to rush out of the bathroom at that very moment. However, she was interrupted by Isaac running out before she could.
"Hey, wait!" She said, her voice breaking in desperation. Why was she getting so worked up about this? Marla bit her lip, a troubled look spreading across her face as tears welled in her eyes again.
"As all the unstable characters left the stage, we can now talk like first-years with first-years. At first, I honestly thought that the mad boy was threatened by you," Marla shook her head. Isaac wasn't unstable. She didn't like the word unstable even though it was true for Kyle. At that point, Marla was just blocking Meenauh's voice out of her head. She heard the girl's voice, yes, but wasn't processing her words at all. She just stood there, absolutely miserable and crossing fingers that she didn't burst into tears at that very moment.
"Marla, do you like really care about the boy? Should we talk to Professor Wright?" Meenauh had asked, which grasped the girl's attention. No! They shouldn't talk to Professor Wright... That'll get Kyle in trouble for sure. That was the last thing that she wanted!
"No way. I just..." She glanced at the door again, and back to Lamik and Meenauh. What to do... What to do...
Well, even though it might've been extremely dangerous, Marla made way for the door and followed Isaac, hoping that Kyle hadn't gone too far. She couldn't help herself. The girl needed to know what was going on with him. She could worry about a simple gash on her face later.

Lamik watched Marla run out of the room, debating whether or not to try stopping her silently. On one hand, she obviously wanted to leave- she knew the Kyle boy and might have wanted to make sure that he was ok. But on the other hand, he punched her. For all Lamik knew, Kyle could have been someone dangerous- almost like Kaegen. Eventually, Lamik decided to let her leave. He reasoned that it was her choice, and there was a high chance that he couldn't say anything that would get her to stay anyways. Besides, she probably knew whether or not Kyle would hurt her anymore then he already has, and he had to trust her on that.
Now he looked back at the last person in the room other than him. He didn't know what to say. Honestly, Lamik did think that she seriously escalated the situation, but he couldn't deny that he nad also made it worse with his scolding of the curly boy. "Why do bad things always happen here? All I wanted was to stop being afraid..." Lamik walked backwards until his back touched the wall and slid down to the floor, holding his head with his hands.

Marla hesitated before answering the question. And the answer didn't sound quite fulfilling as well. She started and then dropped it in the middle of the sentence, turned away and ran out of the room, almost hitting the door on her way.
That chaotic atmosphere for some very weird reason gave more and more energy to Meenauh. She raised her brows at the door and smiled uncontrollably, missing how the blonde boy moved. When she turned back to him, he was already sitting near the wall with his head in his hands. She suddenly grew very serious and said:
"I'm sorry. I just... I..." she stammered, then suddenly turned away from him and rushed through the doors, leaving the toilets and shutting the doors behind her.
...
After around seven or ten seconds, she opened the door again and walked in a bit slower pace than she ran away, and addressed the boy:
"I'm joking. That would be super lame. I just couldn't help it because pretty much nothing else made sense. Too bad I couldn't see your face, though."
It really didn't make sense. A bunch of first-years dealing with a mad boy in the middle of an abandoned bathroom, punching, sparks, fear, anger, shoving with inhuman strength, everyone leaving the room. That felt like a nice plot introduction for a book. Not quite like a troll walking around the castle, but... yeah.
"What did you want to stop being afraid of?" she addressed the boy once again, really hoping to have at least a single adequate conversation.

Lamik hadn't noticed the girl leave, so of course, he hadn't noticed her coming back. In fact, the boy was so distracted by the storm building up inside his head that it took him a few seconds to even understand what was being said to him. A few moments after the girl had said something about wanting to see somebodies face, Lamik looked back up at her. Surprisingly enough- for him at least- he wasn't crying. Normally tears would have been streaking down his face at this point, as even though he would have liked to think of himself as brave, he still wasn't afraid to show emotion and consequentially always wore his heart on his sleeve. No, at that moment Lamik just looked exhausted, a sort of tired look in his eyes.
What did he want to stop being afraid of? Well, two things really. The first was the irrational fear of the room he was sitting in at that very moment, the one that seemed to contain all of the terrible, awful, things in Hogwarts. The second and the one that Lamik had decided to share was the fear of Hogwarts itself. It seemed that no matter what, bad things always seemed to happen in the castle; either to him or to others. "The bombing. The bombing that Kaegen person was responsible for. I was there that day. There was so much blood- so many hurt people. How could something like that happen in a school?"

Meenauh flinched at the mention of Kaegan. Indeed, that was not a long time ago. That was really not a long time ago. She wasn't there, so she could only believe what others said and the information they spread. Or not to believe them. And then the boy mentioned that he was actually present there that day.
The uplifting atmosphere in Meenauh's head instantly dissolved as if with a Finite Incantatem. The boy was actually there. That was not an 11 year old should ever experience. That was not any year old should ever experience. That could shatter the mental stability of a child to pieces, which would be very hard to repair if it would possibly be.
Meenauh thought a lot about that unfortunate event. She questioned the safety of the school herself, considering Quidditch and duelling for children. Yes, the hospital wing could fix a lot, but it couldn't bring a dead person back. Meenauh was disgusted by even thinking about death as a concept. She would fight it. She would fight it for real. But those thoughts were not helping at the moment.
She looked very seriously into the boy's eyes. Right there into the abnormally big blue eyes of his, and talked:
"I don't know whether you've studied the history of this place, but I did, and I share your fears. I seriously doubt the complete safety of this place and even the reasoning behind what is allowed and what is not. That unfortunate event was a disaster. I am very sorry that you had to experience that in your first year. That must have been dreadful."
She paused and continued to maintain eye contact with the boy. His blue eyes were deep like the Mariana Trench. And he was afraid. He was puzzled. He was lost.
"Do you like chocolate? I have plenty in my trunk. They say chocolate helps even after encounters with dementors, so I suggest launching off to the common room. And probably you could talk to me about what had happened here before I messed everything up?" she smiled in the kindest way and offered the boy her hand.

Lamik smiled weakly. As bad of an idea as she had obviously had, and as much as she had worsened the situation, this girl was obviously friendly. She seemed like she wanted to make it up to him, even though she didn't owe him anything. He took her hand, using it to pull himself up before letting go and nodding. There was really no use in just wallowing on the floor for the rest of the day, so the only thing left was to do something productive, and the girl seemed to have a perfect idea- eating a whole bunch of chocolate. "That sounds nice."
As for her comments on the bombing- Lamik really didn't have much to say on the topic. There was nothing for her to be sorry for. She wasn't responsible for another students insanity, especially considering that she wasn't even there. Lamik understood her point, however. The event was unfortunate, and it definitely made him question how the school functioned even more then he had before. It was truly strange to think that underneath the surface of wondrous magic and hidden surprises was a far less pleasant place- one that if not treated carefully could result in disaster. At that very moment, though he wasn't yet aware of it, Lamik had figured out what his goal was at Hogwarts- what he would work towards figuring out over the next six years. Ridiculously bad things happened at Hogwarts, and he couldn't shake the feeling that there was a reason for them. Lamik was going to find out what made everything tick.
