Maze a-maze-ing Group 10 Closed

Howard would grasp the pendant, the charm would grow warm against his palm and in an instant, he would be see a flash of bright light. The Jewelry was a another portkey and in a split second, Howard would be teleported outside with the dragon pendant now hanging from his neck, glowing somewhat comfortingly warm against his chest. Any attempts to remove the Jewelry would be futile. The ring too was a port key, as soon as Rosie slipped the ring on, like Howard, she would be teleported outside of the hobbit. Unlike Howard’s pendant, Rosie’s arm of the finger that worn the ring felt tingly and numb, she would not be able to move this arm on her own accord. It was only a matter of seconds before the arm swung and contacted hard with the nearest being, Howard. Rosie’s hand would lock tight in an almost painful grip on his shoulder. She would be unable to let her own hand go.

Instead of the cool spring weather, cold chilly winds would blow and the clear skies suddenly looming with dark clouds as if it was going to start pouring thunderous rains any second. In front of Rosie and Howard would be the same metal door he had seen in the hobbit. Behind them would be a cross road of two doors. To their right is a metal cemetery like fence door leading to a shaded path. Not far from it is an ordinary hedge door leading to a grassier path. Now the only option was to wait for Lavina.

Lavina would remain in the hobbit still pondering on how to cipher the keypad on the door. It wasn’t long before she noticed her other counterparts had disappeared. Where did they go?

Just as she’d suspected- something bad had happened. Rosie didn’t even have a chance to take in the weather out here. Instead the tingling in her arm began to throw her into a mild panic. ”Oh no.” A tug at the ring proved it wasn’t going anywhere for the foreseeable future. But then her arm moves of its own accord. The girl yelped in surprise. She could feel it moving and clasping Howie, but she could do nothing to stop it. ”Howie! I’m not doing this. I can’t control my arm!”

As Howie’s fingers touched the pendant he was blinded by a bright flash. He could feel his body spinning and a hard tug in his sinuses. The boy’s back slammed hard into the ground as he was teleported out of the hobbit house to another location. He coughed from the impact, his hands drawn to a weight around his neck. The dragon pendant. As much as he may try, it wouldn’t move, as it had been glued to his chest. He rolled to the side and lifted himself from the ground.

The atmosphere had changed. The bright, sunny spring day had turned cold and dark. Raising his eyes to the sky, dark and angry looking clouds hung overhead. It appeared it would storm soon. Another pop would draw his attention. Turning around, he would see Rosie.

“Shoulda listened to ya Rosie. Who knows where we are now...and I can’t get this damn thing off of me!”

Howie cocked his head to the side, a perplexed look splashing across his face. The young ginger girl was moving fast towards him, her arm outstretched. “You alright...” before he could finish his statement, her hand would clasp onto his shoulder, her fingers squeezing as hard as they could. “Rosie! What the hell!” 

“Howie! I’m not doing this. I can’t control my arm!”

Howie’s hand raised to grab her forearm. “What! What’s happened to you!” He would push her arm up attempting to remove her hand from his shoulder.

”How can you even see anything, Lavinia? But if you can see it, I don’t think there’s usually a button for a space. Just a run on sentence. But it does sound like that’s what it is.”
Lavinia was still in the dark room but as Rosie spoke she felt an even better glimmer of hope to get out of there. She told Rosie ”When I was a little kid I used to read in the dark all the time so I am used to that sort of thing and I will type the numbers into keypad” Lavinia typed the numbers into the keypad in this order: 24737 63 as she was typing that in her fellow comrades decided to do exactly what she said not to do. They decided to grab hold of the pendent and ring. Lavinia yelled ”NO!” but it was to late they had grabbed hold of the objects and in a flash of bright light they were gone. Lavinia was very afraid to be in the room by herself but she still had hope that the door would open. If the door did not open she would follow her companions and grab the ring if the door did open she would most likely go through it.

Lavina had guessed correctly. Upon typing the numbers in, the the metal door to click and open with a soft hiss. Instead of the cool spring weather that Lavina would expect, she would find the weather with chilly winds blowing and the clear skies suddenly looming with dark clouds as if it was going to start pouring thunderous rains any second. As Lavina typed in the numbers she was very surprised to see the door open and @Howard White and @Rosie Parker standing in front of her. They seemed like something had happened to them. Like Lavinia knew this was the first time they had interacted since “what happened” but this was just weird. Rosie had her arm on Howie’s shoulder and it seemed like she did not know what was going on. But the weather was what bothered her the most. It was very gloomy and the wind was to harsh. Lavinia had to shout over the wind but managed to say ”Whats going on?” she paused for a second before continuing ”Did the porkey jewelry take you here? I managed to open the door and this where I showed up.”

Lavinia looked farther around and noticed that they were faced with another choice of either a metal door or a grassy path. Hoping for better weather she said ”This weather seems harsh maybe if we go through the metal door we will have more luck? And if we do let’s make sure to grab something to keep it open with.”

Rosie's eyes were wide in sheer terror. "I've no idea! I put the damn ring on and now it's controlling my arm!" She tried to remove her heand from her friend's should bu it was steadfast. That was when Lavinia walked through a door Rosie had miss until now.
Did the porkey jewelry take you here? I managed to open the door and this where I showed up.
"Yes. My arm is stuck in its current position." Rosie gestured to her hand stuck on Howie's shoulder. She followed Lavinia's gesture towards the door. "Thats fine. Howie. You're legs are long than mine. Please don't walk too quickly. Is there a rock about anywhere to prop it open with, Lavinia?"

"Yes. My arm is stuck in its current position."

What did I tell them I knew something like this would happen. Lavinia took just a few more seconds staring at the two of them. Before Rosie spoke again: "Thats fine. Howie. You're legs are long than mine. Please don't walk too quickly. Is there a rock about anywhere to prop it open with, Lavinia?" She looked around and her eye got caught on a pile of rocks and she had a very good idea that they were just illusionary but why not check it out? So Lavinia walked towards the pile and her hand went right through the rock. She reported back: ”The rocks here are illusionary I say we just hope for better luck this time and don’t touch anything.” She headed towards the metal door with ease.
